I dream of emptiness,
which is boredom
Of pointlessness,
which is empty
Of existence,
which is pointless...
All roads lead to boredom,
the Rome of my dreams
Akarin~ Mortal Melancholy
So ephemeral is the mortal man,
So weigh'ed by the twisted chains of fate;
Is the promised land, heaven's master plan
Yet true for the devoted whom await?
Or is that brief spark all that we possess?
Through time's passage, we can only lose more
Youth, innocence, beloved, yet faith, less,
All is taken, nothing remains from before.
With only self and hope for the after,
We pray for our end, for happiness lost,
Long gone but remembered, the blithe laughter
That will sound in this world no more, star-crossed.
'Twould be a blessing should end be not end,
Yet truth's unknown, whether man may ascend.
