Both heroes are popular guys. And somewhat they have bets. In Last Game, it is the last game to make one of them fall in love to the other, in Kaguya sama it is similar; both mc wanted each of them love the other as a bet or a game
Kaguya-sama's rich FL x hardworking ML compares to Last Game's rich ML x hardworking FL, though both Kaguya and Shirogane are more similar to Yanagi than Kujou. Rivals to lovers. Like Yanagi's "last game" to Kujou, the objective of Kaguya's and Shirogane's "war" is to make the other person fall in love. A tagline for one chapter of Last Game may have inspired one of Kaguya-sama's early arcs.

When I first read Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen, the manga I instantly thought of was Last Game. They both focus on two geniuses, one rich and the other a "commoner." However, the genders are switched around, so in Last Game, it's the girl who beats their love interest. Speaking of love, they don't realize their feelings for each other until around the middle or something. Honestly speaking, I like Last Game better. Don't hate on me for that! (～￣▽￣)～
