Canine demon boy (Inuyasha/Tomoe) has to partner with a schoolgirl (Kagome/Nanami). Inuyasha is a shounen manga (lots more action) whereas Kamisama is a shoujo manga (lots more romance), but the relationship between the two main characters are very similar.

In these, the story has great resemblances in the plot, even though one is shonen (Inuyasha) and the other is shoujo (KH), for instance, both have:
- Naive human heroine who has a special power and is on highschool and has the ability to travel to past.
- Main hero is a youkai with ears and white hair and at first fights a lot with the heroine but ends up protecting her later.
- The relationship between Tomoe/Nanami and Kagome/Inuyasha is quite similar: it begins in a conflicting way but then it turns into affection.
-  spoiler: The hero loved a human girl in his past and wanted to be human to be with her but she died.
- Yukiji (Tomoe´s former lover) resembles Kikyou (Inuyasha´s former lover) in looks and personality.
Personally I like Inuyasha better because it develops the supporting characters more deeply. read more

The relationship between the two main characters from KH (Nanami and Tomoe) reminds me of the relationship from InuYasha (Kagome and InuYasha). Especially at the beginning both Tomoe and InuYasha is a little bit more savage but become more tamed (?!) as the series progress.

Both involve a dog-like human and a human girl. The demon in both series is sort of a tsundere and the girl in both series are strong-willed. The demon in both series loved someone in the way in the past and the girl in both series in the present time is a reincarnation of the demons' past lovers.

there are A LOT of similarities between InuYasha and Kamisama Hajimemashita
- Human girl falls in love with youkai boy
                     ->who feels the same way for her but is still kind of hung up on his ex who may or may not be somehow "connected" to said human girl (can't say any more than that, spoilers lol)
- She gets powers she didn't even know she could have (nanami has "God" powers whereas Kagome is a miko)
- Time Travel (sorta?)
- Love Triangles
- "Should I give up being a youkai so I can be with the human girl I love?"
- LOTS MORE!!!

The major differences is that InuYasha is a shounen and focuses more on the adventure genre (though it has lots of romantic moments too!) while Kamisama Hajimemashita is a shoujo and focuses more on the romance genre. But both of them are equally great!

Both feature a female protag trying to step into their newfound powers in a strange new setting involving unfamiliar creatures and the like. They fall in love with the male lead, who is a powerful demon of some sort with white hair, cute ears, and is kind of a douchebag, AND is getting over a lost lover. KH is, however, much more romance oriented compared to Inuyasha, and it's a good amount shorter. The general mood is very similar and both are simultaneously uplifting and frustrating at times.

Same sort of demon creature who also looks very similar and has a similarly abrasive personality but becomes sweet. It has the same kind of feel as well.

Taking place in a modern setting, Black Bird and Kamisama Hajimemashita are more or less examples of classic shoujos. Both series' main female protagonist gets themselves with a mysterious male with supernatural abilities. But as the series goes on, their relationship with this the male protagonist develops into something more than just partners/friends/acquaintances. There are also legend lores in both series along with background stories relating to the main characters. Black Bird is more known for its more mature story and occasionally smut. On the other hand, Kamisama Hajimemashita maintains its charm and lighthearted atmosphere.

Both are Japanese mythology-based supernatural romances, with the focal point being a 'normal' high school girl having very important inherent power that makes all the bad guys wanna eat them. However, good-guy childhood friend demon/shrine guardian/extra love interest(s) are always on hand to protect them. How lovely.

Major differences: 
-  Kamisama Hajimemashita is relatively more innocent and light-hearted.
-  Black Bird involves the sexy times and is a fair bit more serious when the bad times strike. Which is often.

Both have good art, deal with supernatural spirits (tengu/yokai), love between a nonhuman and a human, a somewhat weaker female lead (though the girl in Kamisama Hajimemashita is pretty strong). Black Bird is aimed at older audiences as it gets pretty smutty later in the series while Kamisama is very cute and a slow-romance kind of manga. If you loved one you'll love the other!!

The main character becomes homeless and involved with the supernatural world.
Kamisama Hajimemashita is more of a romantic comedy and Fruits Basket falls more into the tragedy genre, but both are very heartwarming.

A story about a young girl whose life changes one day forever after encountering a supernatural being. Sound familiar? Fruits Basket and Kamisama Hajimemashita crafts a story with a premise based on supernatural themes. The girl loses everything but find a new chance with an offering that she can't refuse. She quickly realizes the changes in her new life with the presence of supernatural beings. Throughout the course of both series, there is relationship development as we learn more about each character. There is also a progressive story that focuses on the family legends of both series. Fruits Basket has more drama while Kamisama Hajimemashita adapts comedy. However, both series are considered shoujo classics so give them a try if that's something you're interested in. read more

Fruits Basket and Kamisama Kiss are two shoujo manga with a bit of a supernatural twist—the main character is a girl who has recently become homeless, but quickly finds residence thanks to a guy she meets nearby. However, her new home comes with some supernatural consequences, and now the main character finds herself juggling her school life with keeping the secret behind her new circumstances.

Momochi-san Chi no Ayakashi Ouji addpermalink

Both series has a very strong willed heroine. Their life changes as they enter the supernatural world and meets a mysterious guy(s)?! And staying under the same roof isn't very easy.

I really love  Kamisama Hajimemashita manga and anime, once you read  Momochi-san Chi no Ayakashi Ouji you will enjoy another great series!

A fox spirit serving/protecting a girl, just that in this case the "Tomoe" in InuxBoku is really obedient and exaggeratedly nice to the main girl and "Nanami" (Ririchiyo in InuxBoku) is really tsundere and rude. Similar just in concept, not in story. Both are romance.

In both, normal girls somehow 'received' god power from a god. 
Though the plot in the 2 series go into different paths, become a god or remain as a human.
Nanami is 'bind' by her role as a land god but Inari is going into the direction so that she can control and live with the power as a human without becoming god.
Both contain their troubles with love and interaction with other gods.

Otome Youkai Zakuro addpermalink

Coming elements of fantasy, slice of life, and a bit of romance, both series adapts a well-rounded story about supernatural beings. The main premise may not seem similar but there's a good amount of relationship building with familiarity. In fact, the main characters' personalities are similar - strong, independent, and caring towards their friends. Their role in the story is expanded as they face difficult obstacles as well as their own personal struggles. There's also a bit of romance development that becomes evident as well. Anyone interested in a lighthearted fantasy story should consider giving these two series a shot.

Similar main characters, romance, concept and plot.
Both main males are foxes with similar powers and a really bad temper. (Similar personality in genral actually) They both refuse to have a romantic relationship with a human girl. Both males also have a dark past, which led them to having to protect humans for several hundred years.

The main females are also similar in several ways. They both rely on the male's protection even though they really want to be able to protect themselves.

Both stories have similar plot, girl lives in a shrine and goes to school while the male is going to protect her from supernatural spirits and monsters, although Cheonnyeon Kumiho is more about foxes and the male's story and Kamisama is more about the female's development and her getting stronger.

I would also like to point out that the romance is pretty similar in my opinion. The characters have similar relations, and the romance between them have similar pace and development. read more

Both involve the growth of a romantic relationship between the strong female protagonist and her supernatural servant. Kamisama is a bit more light-hearted and current than Her Majesty; but if you liked one I would consider looking into the other.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime addpermalink

Despite their different premises, Akagami no Shirayuki-hime and Kamisama Hajimemashita has a familiar feel with their story. Both series' main female protagonist are self-independent and are clever with their ways of thinking. Their encounter with the main male protagonist seems to be almost like fate as they get to know each other. Both series also adapts romance that becomes more evident as the story progresses on. There is also distinctive amount of fantasy elements as we see how their world functions.

Although Platinum Garden may not contain heavy supernatural-atmosphere like in Kamisama Hajimemashita, but if you pay attention, both heroine has pretty much similar path to live their life.

Both, Nanami and Usagi are women who begin very weak and dependent on their respective hero to save them. The story focuses on their struggle to be stronger and to impress the hero they love. Both, Tomoe and Hanazoe are skeptical and rebuff the heroines on their first meeting but slowly fall in love with the heroines as Nanami and Usuagi show their sincerity and dedication to their cause. Both desire the affection of the hero and get into a series of conflicts where the hero has to save them. Both heroines have multiple love interests but are always resolute about their love for the hero of the story.

As the story progresses the heroines begin to better understand the men they love and try to work hard to improve their skills. Nanami works towards being a better land god where Usagi develops her herbalism skills and ocassionaly ninjistu. While working on these respective goals they are able to help others and forge important friendships that will help them in the future.

While they have different plots as well as different settings (one is set in Japan, the other in England), both Kamisama Hajimemashita and The Ancient Magus' Bride share the common theme of 'Beauty and the beast'.
An abandonned, sad girl weeping in the streets (Nanami and Chise) meets a seemingly mature yet mysterious fellow (Tomoe and Elias). As the story goes on, they both learn about each other, in many ways.

Through her struggles of learning to use her new powers, she meets a boy with similar powers to hers, though they dislike each other at first. Both series are recommended for shojo manga fans who enjoy a mix of romance and fantasy.

Fantasy shoujo romance (Soredemo is high fantasy, Kamisama is set in modern times) in which the FL is suddenly elevated to a role that puts them directly in contact with the ML (Tomoe is Nanami's familiar, Livi is Nike's husband). Over time, the FL opens the ML's darkened heart through compassion and willpower. Rival love interests desire and even capture the FL for her powers, but it's her heart that truly wins them over.

The stories are very, VERY different.. but there are a few similarities. Both heroines have no home left to go back to, they both live with older male guardian-like figures, and they both end up falling for them. Kamisama is much longer and it isn't as simple as Tsubaki-chou, but I really enjoy both of them. To me, they have similar feelings.

Because of their willingness to help others both main characters get in weigh over their heads. While the main character of Kamisama helps a man in a tree escape from a dog, the main character in Eto Royals helps a dog. Both of these acts cause them to be thrown into some situations against their will. One of them becoming a shrine goddess of a shrine that a less then excited fox demon lives at. And the other main character becoming partners with the dog zodiac in a Zodiac battle against her will. Both are packed, with situations that will make you laugh!

The fated love story involving time traveling always makes me think of these both! Tomoe and Amane have a similar tsundere-like personality, Amane more in a childish way and Tomoe giving an adult vibe.
Obviously, there's supernatural beings and has that humorous touch and light to watch/read feel, without missing the deep plot:) you will definitely love them!!!!!

The main characters from both series have unusual gifts or rather supernatural abilities that defies the laws of nature. Both series adapts a story taking place in modern time where spirits and apparitions are involved. Their style are portrayed differently but both series adapts story angles where conflicts are the result of their existence. Kamisama Hajimemashita also has more shoujo themes while Kyoukai no Rinne is known for its shounen style.

There are two different stories but in my opinion they have the same romantic atmosphere. There are both tender and heartwarming with development of relations between characters as main theme of manga. For this reason, I suppose that this mangas differ from others with the same genre and similar stories, and because I rate this two higher and also reccomend it.

There are two different stories but in my opinion they have the same romantic atmosphere. They are both tender and heartwarming with development of relations between characters as main theme of manga. For this reason, I suppose that this mangas differ from others with the same genre and similar stories, and because I rated this two higher and also reccomend it.

In Kamisama Hajimemashita the girl falls in love with her servent.
and in Omamori no Kamisama the servent falls in love with there master. Also simular in other ways.

Both have supernatural/fantasy elements, though in Kamisama, it's familiars and gods and stuff, while in Earl, it's fairies. Both are a great read, considering they have great art, and a not-so-typical storyline.

The drawings are somewhat similar to each other, and they both got to do with shrines. It also has a common type of comedy. The plot is very different than the other, but I can't help but be reminded of KH when I read PB! o:

Both have familiar summons (althought in kamisama hijimemashita its demon familiars in Ayahatori shoukanjou its people and animals summoned from books)
both have strong female leads with a strong back story (KH the father left her and she basicly raised herself, in AS she also basicly raised herself)
in both the characters are confused as to weather they like each other (epically the guy) 

overall they just reminded me of each other, though i loved both i think KH was better it was also longer. Ii highly recommend it and i think if you liked AS then you will like KH to :)

Both of these manga have youkai.It has some of the some youkai, though Nuraihyon no mago has much more. Kamisama Hajimemashita focuses more on romance with a hint of action,whereas Nurarihyon no Mago is the opposite. If you like supernatural I recommend either of these.

The episodic style of Kamisama and recurring side characters really reminded me of Princess Resurrection. Also both main girls have to prove themselves in some way.

First off, I'll state that these two manga (Shinobi Life and Kamisama Hajimemashita) are in my top ten of all time... thus I may be biased. =) But, if you feel the same, read on: 

What they have in common:
- The stories both revolve around the couple and their developing relationship. 
- Both girls in each story have the male as the protecting figure. In the case of Shinobi it's obviously a ninja, and in the case of Kamisama a fox demon. 
- Both girls in each story have trouble adapting to the lifestyle of their male counterpart. 
- Both stories have wonderful art, coming from someone who's very picky, and the bishies are lovely.
- Both stories deal with the past of the male counterpart. I won't spoil it for you. =)
- Both can get a little difficult to follow if you skip through or, in my case, have one too many cocktails during your reading session. 

Differences:
- Kamisama has more humor and is more lighthearted.
- Kamisama is a little bit more "episodic" than Shinobi, but still neatly carries the plot. 
- Shinobi has many more historical elements, which gives it a more realistic air (aside from the time traveling of course). read more

Japanese mythology abounds in these two manga full of Tengu, Sorcerers and Kitsune and a girl's heart big enough to love them all. Two great manga with incredible art a healing romance and magic everywhere.

Monokuro Shounen Shoujo addpermalink

It's similar because the main girl character in the beginning are put in this situation they can't refuse and have to deal with a rude guy. They begin not liking each other; Calling each other names especially the boys lol.  Then later on fall for each other after complications(drama) :P  plus the main boy characters both share a stubborn attitude towards their feelings.....and I think the story well be interesting along the run.

Barajou no Kiss addpermalink

While Barajou no Kiss is a reverse-harem it does have a few similarities. Both protagonist are given special positions (Anis becomes Rose Princess, Nanami is Land God) and both are 'masters' over men.
Barajous no Kiss does deal with the supernatural, high school life, idols (Suzumura Idel vs. Shinjirou Kurama) who both have mysterious past and are fence sitters, and Anis also has an independent spirit yet also a goofy side. 

Other points:
Anis and Nanami are both surrounded by gorgeous men whom are either in love, or have feelings, or serve them. However while Nanami singularly likes Tomoe, in Barajou we're given more drama since Anis has to decide between four guys and she does show uncertainty. 

Just like Nanami and Tomoe, Anis shares a bond with Kaede despite the banter.  read more

Two different worlds behind human knowlage. Both manga has creatures as a main characters, there is a lot of magic and also, another MC is a bit clumsy human, who get to know about everything who seems impossible.
