In both, normal girls somehow 'received' god power from a god.
Though the plot in the 2 series go into different paths, become a god or remain as a human.
Nanami is 'bind' by her role as a land god but Inari is going into the direction so that she can control and live with the power as a human without becoming god.
Both contain their troubles with love and interaction with other gods.
Even with its shoujo themes, Kamisama Hajimemashita and Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha. adapts a series involving spirits/Gods. The main female protagonist comes into contact with a supernatural force where they make a contract/deal. They are also able to see what other normal humans cannot. Throughout both series, there's a distinctive focus on the characters' development and relationships with others. And despite having fantasy elements, both series adapts human traits well.
* Both are about a girl receiving divine powers and how they deal with all the consequences of receiving such powers.
* Both have VERY cute romantic development.
* Side characters are lovable and their stories make you root for them too.
* Both are enjoyable reads (even though kamisama hajimemashita is longer)
