These stories feature humans and youkai who have formed strong bonds. They may be friends, partners, lovers, or have become each other's family.

Includes manga with creatures from legends (e.g. youkai), or stories that rely heavily on myths/mythical themes for the plot (so no slice-of-life comedies that just happen to have inhuman characters, for example). Ghosts, zombies, werewolves, dragons, random demons etc. are omitted; there are too many manga with those, as they are far more popular than other legends. Urban horror legends aren't included either (like in Terror Night, for example).

Only a few works containing gods are included. They must meet one of the following conditions:
— feature gods originating from other cultures, not Japan's
— feature existing gods from mythology (not made up by the author).

Most of the manga on this list are episodic btw

All of these are Shoujo, there isn’t a single shounen piece in here. These can vary from fantasy Shoujo to action Shoujo. They are not all romantic in nature. None of these are one-shots either, though some are more short than others. Please enjoy these and I hope you find some interesting things in here. I’ve read all of these and loved them so I’d be honored if you’d do the same.

Mostly consists of romance between parties living under one roof.

These manga showcase a relationship where the characters are in two different age groups, based on societal norms. While not always the case, these characters sometimes must overcome challenges or societal stigma associated with the Age Gap.

Manga, manhwa and manhua about gods & godesses interacting with each other or interacting with/ Living amongst other beings like humans, demons or yokai.

This will be my favorite mangas that I have been reading that is romance. These mangas are so good that I hope they can be physical manga I can buy in the future.

Series featuring romances between main leads who are of two different species.
These romances can focus on relationships between a human and a vampire, a human and a yokai, etc

i'm particularly picky about romance animanga because too many of them drag out for the sake of making more money, they don't even experience the couple's relationships and just ends it at them getting together, etc. the romances i chose have either character development, charm, and/or unique premise.

i tried not including romances where the romance isn't really a huge focus, and i haven't read many novels in general but i'll be adding romance novels i like in the future.

(P.S. I do not hate high school rom-coms, I just read a lot more romances of other genres and it's hard to find a rom-com that doesn't drag out or that stands out imo)

Category A: MC's secret is the main plot of the manga.
Category B: MC's secret is important but does not constitute the main plot.
Category C: MC's secret was important in the beginning, but the "secret" nature of it gets ditched as the story progresses.

Romance stories to warm and heal your heart

Here are all the shoujo manga I think one should read in order to cover all bases. I organized this list by general theme, with publishing series at the bottom.

We start off with serious drama and slice of life series, then period and fantasy action and war series, then science-fiction series, then magical girl series, then series for younger audiences, then romance comedies, then drama slice of life romances, then horror and supernatural manga, and lastly, important ongoing series.

I'm currently using this list too, despite me being the one who created it!

Kemonomimi are Human Characters with the Traits of Animals (e.g. Cat, Dog, Fox...), which can Appear in Fantasy Stories. Well i collected some Media which feature such fascinating beings, from Spirits, to Deities, to just interesting species you can meet, they are all Kemonomimi!
