Hi, I'm trying to start a club for critical and knowledgable anime fans. I came across your account in the "World Masterpiece Theater" club and you seem to fit the bill. The two purposes of the club are to foster community via the club Discord server, and to create a robust poll of the "greatest anime of all time", voted on by members in a thread on the front page of the club. Each member would post their personal top ten list in the thread, titled "Post Your Top Ten", and then eventually I will compile all the lists into a final aggregate. It's always exciting to see other people who love Rose of Versailles and Kaze to Ki no Uta!^w^ Alsooo I found it funny that we have the exact birthday (both in day and year)!:-O
Also, there's some stuff on your list I haven't read/watched before, so I might check those out one day! Especially Tokyo Babylon; that's been on my to watch/read list for a long time.xD I've always found the animation and manga very beautiful and I even own an artbook of the series lol But I've never had the chance to check it out.x_x Maybe it's because I'm unsure if I should start with the anime or manga. (Also I have to be in the *mood* to watch/read something or else I just sort of zone out lol)
Sucks that the remake got cancelled though... But apparently a lot of people don't like the studio and were happy about them not having the rights to the adaptation anymore? Not sure. Though, I did find it a shame that they tried to replace the original fashion with something more "modern". I personally love the fashion in the series; it's oh so very 90s!<3 So maybe there's a silver-lining to it all. I wonder if another studio will take on the project or if there will never be a remake. I've heard the OG anime series is a bit wonky, but the art looks soooooo pretty.;__;
