Both stories have similarity, between the Contractor and the Demon. They also have similar style and era. Characters wear Victorian-dress and Gothic style. The main characters have same deep conflict regarding their past times.

Both of these manga have a master/servant in the front in center. Also both the master and servant are pretty remarkable. There is also the old English feeling and the sense of dark political secrets and a hint of the mystical. Art style is also similar. Kuro Shitsuji has a smidge more humor and Godchild has more gore.

Because it also involve abnormal creature such as demons (akuma), death gods, etc. It also involve a lot of action and comedy in the story. You will love it as well.

both are - supernatural - historical - european setting - very similar vibes the premise of both of them involves a pair of two guys who go around behind society, to deal with supernatural evils/ events. one of them is a creature (vampire / demon), the other is "normal"

It's similiar to it in by how it gives you the same feel (well, to me anyways lolz) that Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro gives you. ^^ It may not seem like something good, since it doesn't seem to have a 'real' mainstory, but as you read on, there's an inkling of mystery that I cannot pass up on NOT finding out. The stories a bit dull at first and may seem like any other manga, but please do NOT be fooled by it; it has a special place in my heart, as do any other manga and anime that I like do, that I must  read more

You'll find eye-patches, Shinigami, contracts and death, wrapped up in a dark but at times unserious mood. The most notable similarities are between their characters: in both we have the usually clumsy meganekko (Michiru/Meilin), the homo who provides comic relief (Hakka/Grell), the always calm and kinda tedious Chinese guy whose eyes are constantly shut (Toho/Lau), the emotionless pretty girl (Kuze/Ranmao), the weird and non-human ferryman/grave-digger (Bekko/Undertaker), the cute and cheerful shota boy (Yuta/Finnian), and even the domesticated wolf (Raika/Pluto). Square Enix worked on both manga. That said, Zombie Loan is shorter and better.

Both are dark and mysterious, filled with fancy clothing and beautiful characters, who appear to be superior than ordinary humans. In Kuroshitsuji you can find demons and shinigamis, while in Shirokuro Kitan the Malice users are called with the same names by the people, even though it is yet to be revealed what are they truly. The main characters (Ciel/Ririko) are trying to find the truth behind their parents' death/disappearance and some kind of supernatural being/power is helping (or wil help) them, but not for free. Also, it seems that in both there is some kind of conspiracy going on in the shdows, for which  read more

Both series are set in England during the 1800's, both main characters are smart (though Moriarty is a genius) and work in similar ways even if it's for different reasons. The MC are both nobles and have a history with burning mansions, and th artwork in both series is beautiful (well Kuroshitsuji could have been better in the begining).

Hanatsuki Hime is about a girl who was born dead and her mother summons a demon to lend her his heart for sixteen years in exchange he will eat her. It's similar because with the whole demon, contract thing. And the eat your soul, eat your flesh thing. yeah its a like but the endings are entirely different.

Grell and Riddle are both undertakers/shinigami and their personalities are also a lot alike. Brad and Sebby are both workaholics. Undertaker Riddle makes a contract an funny immature 17 year old school boy instead of a brat (and i mean that in the nicest way possible). But the conditions of the contract are different and the plot as a whole are different. Their clothing style for the characters are similar.

The stories are similar but you can feel on them the same tragic and aura, both are historical and black comedy, the art is awesome in them too.

There is servant/master character and a lot of demons. It's relly nice and funny manga and art is similar too.

both have supernatural shit and the mysteries surounding it and also a strong goth feel to it and also nice art and character designs too.

Both set in the Victorian era with dark themes and an orphaned child main character with a traumatic past that carries out a life of murder, although in Kuroshitsuji, Ciel orders sebastian to perform the task.
reportRecommended by Gray_apothecary
They are about the main character doing something in order to get revenge on a certain person and both anime have a good balance of humor and seriousness. But the plot, setting and characters are nothing alike.
reportRecommended by Addicer_xx
The art styles slightly resemble each other, the main characters of both series are demons who can consume human souls. Also, at moments, I got the same feeling I have while I'm reading Kuroshitsuji.

Basically, a young noble of high standing (despite being. . . young, i guess?) that have odd servants.

The protagonists from both series are children with a wealthy background who take charge of their own lives and help others. Although, Gisele Alain is more slice-of-life historical than Kuroshitsuji's supernatural historical. The art for both series is very detailed and beautiful to look at, and vividly depicts the fashion, furniture, buildings, and scenery of Victorian France for Gisele Alain and Victorian England for Kuroshitsuji.
reportRecommended by xxxATiON
In both series, the main character makes a deal with a demon to avenge their fallen relatives. Both take place in a past society. I personally like Black Butler more, but Sengoku Blood is still good for the deal with demons category.

It is true that they both have very different storylines and are different in many different ways, but they are both very similiar. One way is that the main characters both face dark times. They both have something they want to protect. Utsuho travels a lot helping people while Ciel and Sebastian help out the queen. They both gain allies on the way and face many hardships. They both have great animation and have a great storyline. Although they have many differences, such as the fact that their personalities are complete polar-opposites, they both are very amazing. So read it!

Kuroshitsuji and Rust Blaster are by the same person – Yana Toboso. If you liked the style and character design of one manga, you should read the other. Both mangas have a gothic look and feel to it. There’s also a contract formed between a human and a supernatural creature {for Rust Blaster it’s a human and a vampire, in Kuroshitsuji, it’s a human and a demon}. Some of the characters in one manga have similar traits to other characters in the other manga {I’ll let you draw the matching lines}. There’s also a lot of feathers in both…

The atmosphere and art are similar, though Kuroshitsuji is gothic pseudohistorical, Inferno is gothic dystopia. The main character of Inferno has a lot of similarities to Sebastian of Kuroshitsuji. They are both servants to a spoiled young master, though one is nobility, and the other mafia. Both stories are told in an episodic way as the servant goes about fulfilling ridiculous demands from their master by means of a lot of violence and makes it home in time to have dinner on the table. Though the main character is much more human, he has a mysterious background, similar looks, and a similar style to Sebastian.  read more

-Both Sakamoto and Sebastian are considered perfect in all their actions -Both series rely on the "suave cringe humor", though in Kuroshitsuji not as much -Sebastian and Sakamoto appear very similar -Sakamoto and Sebastian are OP as heck Though Kuroshitsuji may seem like a jump from a light-hearted manga such as Sakamoto desu ga, the two main (ish?) characters are similar.

"Toraware no Minoue" and "Kuroshitsuji" have a master servant relationship, and a "lost" heir as their main ties. Although they are two separate genres they have a lot of similarities, they're both enjoyable without directly comparing one another.

"Black Butler" and "Dusk Howler" are fantasy shounen stories with BL subtext and lots of bishounens created by yaoi artists, but "Black Butler" is a mystical story where an aristocratic boy named Ciel Phantomhive (a human) and his genius butler named Sebastian Michaelis (a demon) are involved in solving crimes in Victorian England, while "Dusk Howler" is a LitRPG story where an experienced player named Nine (an undead, a necromancer and the head of the guild of thieves and murderers Dusk Howler) helps a novice player named Jaiha (a human and a wizard) complete quests in the virtual MMORPG game "Trikia" ("Thrace").  read more

In summation: BOTH AWESOME MANGAS WITH EYE-CANDY AND A GOOD PLOT --------------- [TLDR version] Points of similarity: beautiful and detailed art style, dark twisted mysteries, attractive character design, characters with secret identities, action, BAMF characters, shounen-ai but not really, adorable shota, some form of espionage, pseudo-military, police force, historical setting, underlying master plot that runs in the background --------------- Really surprised Adekan wasn't in the recommendations before. Mind you that this manga handles more mature themes than Kuroshitsuji... which is what I actually love about it. 1. Adekan's art style is very ornate, fluid, and detailed. Unlike Kuroshitsuji, it's set in a sort of fantasy Meiji era so it features a lot of traditional  read more

I'm surprised at how similar the premises are of both these manga: you have a young man of noble heritage, who lost his family in a fire and was wrong by certain nobles of his time. This boy is gorgeous, cunning and manipulative, and there is only one thing on his mind - revenge for his dead family. Oh, and he's accompanied by a beautiful male butler who is loyal to a fault.

Well, the two main characters in both manga have a very similar relationship. You have the occasionally slightly suggestive sexy neatfreak demon, forced to loyally serve an antisocial, easily-angered child who lives alone. The demon has to save the day a lot of the time, but sometimes the boy holds his own. So, if you liked the connections made in one, you'll probably have the same feelings about the other. The thing about these manga, though is that there is a big interesting difference. Black Butler is long, but really good and worth the time. Grimoire is not AS  read more

For obvious reasons, these series are similar due to the protagonist making a contract with a demon who will assist in their revenge. Furthermore, the demon serves as a butler/valet at the side of their master/mistress, performing their cover capably. Even though Theresia features an obvious shoujo romance, Kuroshitsuji doesn't shy away from fanservice between its main leads either.

Kuroshitsuji is darker than Natsume Yuujinchou too, with the same saddness; don't be fooled when you start reading it, it's NOT a yaoi manga. It starts off with a few mundane stuff, but it gets better and more in depth with an inkling of a darker tale than what it appears to have.

Although Kuroshitsuji has more of a supernatural and much darker setting, whereas Emma is a romance story, both works take place at the same era and share the same backdrop, Victorian London. Also both revolve around the lives of English aristocracy and they insert some ethnic Indian notes in parts of the story. In a way, the protagonists of both works are fighting with their own "demons" to overcome the obstacles in their way to achieve their goals. If you're into supernatural fantasy is part of your vocabulary, then Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) and Karneval are definitely something to look into. For its colorful cast of characters also come a fascinating setting with vast potentials. There are supernatural elements present in both series inspired by the premise and gimmicks. The main male protagonist from both series contrasts a bit differently however but their relationships with others are cleverly crafted. Similarly, their stories offers many glimpses at plot twists with attractive mystery elements to keep you at your seat.

If you like Black Butler - you might like Vartrag Tale. These historical supernatural gothic stories feature a contract between a demon and a young boy. Vartrag Tale is a shoujo and shouen ai and complete. They both have shouen ai / bl type elements to them and they have a European type setting, although the demons are different. In Kuroshitsuji the demon is a butler but in Vartrag Tale he is a long haired winged demon lord but both feature the demon being a good looking mature male and the boy being an adolescent.  read more

Both takes place in London, with the main character has a child. A butler/guardian type person around 24/7, most importantly; they have powers to bring their master's back to their original state. 'No. 99..' as well as 'Kuroshitsuji' tells about the young earl and his loyal butler. One difference is that in the first manga, butler is elder man (something like Tanaka in 'Kuro'). But the both lords are very similar-looking and pretty spoiled. Besides, 'Ningen Omocha' is yaoi, and 'Kuroshitsuji' is authorship of yaoi mangaka.

They share the same author, and therefore, the same art style. Although the art of the Kuroshitsuji manga is more refined due to being more recent. The relationship between a butler/servant and a master. Inu x Boku SS and Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) has fantasy themes and deals with the world of supernatural. In both series, there exists a contract/relationship between two unlikely characters. They aren't very similar but their relationship develops over time. Kuroshitsuji takes the concept of a fantasy adventure while Inu x Boku SS adapts more of a slice of life theme. Both series uses clever dialogue and lighthearted comedy. However, Kuroshitsuji does have a dark side to its story arcs that have more of a mature feeling. Recommended for fans of fantasy drama.
