It's similiar to it in by how it gives you the same feel (well, to me anyways lolz) that Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro gives you. ^^ It may not seem like something good, since it doesn't seem to have a 'real' mainstory, but as you read on, there's an inkling of mystery that I cannot pass up on NOT finding out. I have to say that while reading Neuro and Kuroshitsuji, I found things quite similar between the two. One not only being there humor of both (which Neuro has more of then Kuroshitsuji), or the mysteries the character's are plunged into but as well as them being about two demons. The only difference is that Kuroshitsuji's demon devours souls, and has a contract, while Neuro eats mysteries and has no contract. Both partner up to solve crimes that plague the country, as well as provide a sense of entertainment for the readers. Though Kuroshitsuji is still different on many levels, as is Neuro.

Both consider of a mysterious storyline one way or another. But, although protaganists Sebastian and Neuro are alike, and both have demonic powers, one eats mysteries and another eats souls. Their personalities alter, as well. Both have their twists in comedy as well. Private Evil Eye Nougami Neuro probably focuses more on solving mysteries than the many predicaments Ciel and Sebastian go through in Black Butler.
