Uber badass underworld legend put his shady life behind to become a family man. Hilarity ensues. While those sentences explain the premise of these two manga quite well, there is one small difference: Sakamoto is mostly action with a bit of slice of life, while Househusband is mostly slice of life with a bit of action.

One of the main characters in Hinamatsuri is also a mafia member that is pretty "housewifey" type, doing chores et cetera. Both manga use over exaggerated facial expressions for comedy, and the style of humor feels little bit similar. Though Hinamatsuri is more slice of life comedy with wider array of characters and less focused on the mafia aspect, the humor is more about how the characters get into bizarre situations.

(other way around cause MaL coding is ass) Essentially similar situations where MCs half-retire from the yakuza world and find themselves challenged as they've become regular citizens. I really recommend The Fable as it has an amazing balance of chill SoL mixed with profound yakuza-surroundings where MC has to interfere in other to avoid consequences, furthermore the cast solely consists of adults if you're tired of annoying children lol

Manga revolves around a seemingly scary person is actually nice and can give you advice on everything, especially on household chores.

They are similar in the sense that the chapters for both series are short and episodic. The comedy is similar and the MCs are alike.

Make food, not crime. The everyday life of a badass, but actually super nice dude (secret agent/former yakuza) who's equally skilled in murder and macarons. Husband material indeed. Short episodic antics with mouth-watering dishes, cute pets, unvulgar humour and a chill slice of life vibe.

Both manga follow their respective strongest person in their stories world, with Gokushufudou prioritising the home living comedic aspects that One Punch Man does so well. Just replace the 'World's strongest Hero' with 'Japan's strongest Yakuza member'

Both main characters changes their way of their lives from being gangstas to a teacher/househusband Both are wholesome and comedic Both have an extremely strong main character

similar sense of humor with tough-guys-doing-dorky-things type of comedy; similar art style that utilizes tracing, which really adds to the comedic effect.

also makes exaggerated jokes about housework, but omoni otto's mc is much more reluctant to be a househusband than tatsu.

Whole slice of life about ex-yakuza living a normal life

Another gag manga, based on the idea of a scary guy's good intentions being misunderstood. Both MCs are confused as gang members at various points in the manga.

They both are the daily lives of past delinquents/yakuza. One loves his wife very much and the othe loves his son AND his wife very much. Both are really cute and fluffy. Chichi to ko has a typical shoujo art style while Gokushufudou has a darker, more seinen art style.

both have MC that gives yakuza vibes, but they have hearts of gold! slice of life with comedy - one with a cat and the other with chores of a "wife"

Same kind of absurdist humor, combination of seriousness and fantasy/light humor, shifting tonalities and genuinely positive messages.

Not exactly a similar premise when it comes to the characters, but anybody who enjoyed Tadakuni, Hidenori, Yoshitake and co.'s antics will undoubtedly be entertained by the comedy gold in Gokushufudou.

Both are lighthearted slice-of-life series following the daily life of someone who is comically serious and surprisingly handy at housework and their partner, who is a busy office lady with poor homemaking skills.

Two individuals with connections to a shady side, end up in a profession where they continue their days almost completely opposite compared to what they did before. *Both of them are Slice of Life related.

Yotsuba to! Is funny and makes you happy and the story is awesome! If you have read yotsuba to i recommend you to read gokushufudou, but this manga is about a yakuza than get married and his funny adventure's With his wife and friends! Definitely you have to read both mangas ^_^

Okay, Hwajin & Tatsu’s character match in some way. And yes, I do sound ridiculous, BUT I ENJOYED THE NETFLIX VERSION OF “GOKUSHUFUDOU” MORE BUT- here we are. However you HAVE to try “Get Schooled”. Even if you’re an actual ghost and you can’t afford a phone and are in my dad’s garage right now. Like, okay, take my phone, TAKE WHATEVER JUST READ >:(

Stories about characters who for some reasons were in the illegal industry, and were able to abandon this life and get their dream job. In Goku the dreamjob is to be a housewife, ans in The children's Teacher is to be an teacher <.<. Their life would be perfect with their dream life, however sometimes they are confronted by some problems related to their old life. The main diference between these two stories is the tone, in Goku the plot is more oriented for a slice of life comedy daily life, while the childrens teacher is oriented to a more serious drama, where you will follow  read more

New leaf. Gokushufudou and Crazy Food Truck both follow an incredibly dangerous person, who decided it would be better in life to do something a bit more out of the danger zone. Tatsu and Gordon are in the same boat with passing over their ex-mafia and ex-militant days respectively into following a stranger, but more calm life of being a househusband and an owner of a food truck. Both are good manga with comedic elements to them too. Though Crazy Food Truck is more action-packed than Gokushufudou.

Ex-yakuza (Gokushufudou) and yakuza (Boku to Jinginaki Ojisan) dudes that wear cute aprons and are good at domestic work. Both find unlikely friends - other housewives (Gokushufudou) or neighborhood kids (Boku to Jinginaki Ojisan). Gokushufudou is more comedic while Ojisan is mostly wholesome.

Both have a sort of down to Earth comedy that rely on contrasting facial expressions. While they vary wildly in their approach to story, the way they utilize comedy makes me think of them in a similar vain. Though it should be noted that Gokushufudou doesn't utilize Ecchi while Grand Blue does.

Both comedies are about a man with a questionable past, who must get accustomed to his now "boring" life as a husband. Of course, things rarely go his way and hilarity ensues. Don't expect too much from the stories, since both are fairly predictable. They're good for a laugh, though

Comedy series in which a criminal (or an ex criminal) does every day household tasks in an exagerated, funny way
reportRecommended by TaliaMatsuo
Both manga have a scary looking Mc who gets into trouble because of his appearance but just wants to life a normal life.
reportRecommended by xShinigami3125
Similar plot lines - a hard core yakuza gives up his life of blood, violence and death as soon as he finds a purpose in his life. Both stories are cute and funny takes at how a yakuza adjusts to the life of a normie.
reportRecommended by -Sonal-
Both MC's are former yakuza living their best lives in a different environment (house husband, princess in an isekai story)
reportRecommended by rubixuitous
Yakuzas that seem scary at first but are surprisingly normal presented in a comedic format.
reportRecommended by joegonzalez722
Both MCs are ex-gang members trying to live a normal life (Tatsu formerly part of the mafia and Mafuyu formerly part of a high school gang). Oresama Teacher is also a comedy, but it has more shoujo undertones.
