My head is spinning... But that is good right? O.o

It wasn't exactly that the content itself was *incredibly* confusing, but more of that there was so much philosophical speech it was hard to pick out the important stuff or just follow at all. However, the feeling of being overwhelmed by a story, is a person guilty pleasure. Hell it doesn't not to be a 100% logical to get that feeling.

So we learn the reason why he can't use swords, and a bit of their backgrounds. I guess that explains a few things =P

All in all awesome episode!

Good episode... i knew it! Shichika is one of Kiki's blades, well not Shichika... but Kyotouryuu... well i was close enough in predicting something like this was gonna get revealed to us. (Because i haven't read the novels)

Now i have to wait another month for episode 11... fair enough, this katanagatari deserves my patience.

Great episode. They discussed a lot of stuff that I've been wondering about since the beginning of the series. I'm getting really excited for the last two episodes now. :D

Wow I didn't expect an episode like this.

Shichika/Kyotouryuu being one of the blades was something I guessed at the very first episode, but I actually forgot about that guess until now haha.

people die when they're killed... so this is where that meme comes back to life.... shirou, you have taught us all a great lesson, and rinne has definitely understood you....

anyways, i loved this episode. while the fights were not that much of importance or not that long, they were amazing. shichika's fight with the kendo girl without kendo gear was definitely a plus. general martial arts ftw.

the amount of understanding needed for this series really reminds me a lot of the amount of energy i put into understanding certain parts of the nasuverse. philosophy in anime ftw. and togame kawaii

next couple of episodes will be da shit though. the previews show.

Very nice episode providing a lot more insight into the characters than the previous chapters have. Higaki Rinne was a really fun character to watch, truly befitting a sage. I kinda wished they storyboarded some of the lengthier dialogue scenes better, to make the visuals as interesting as the conversation. That one long pan from Shichika on the right to Higaki on the left was pretty absurdly long, especially when they showed how short the actual distance was (and less trees than the pan suggested! lol). I've been really enjoying this 12 month journey so far and I can't wait for it's grand conclusion in December. Hitei's ED song was really nice too.

Wow. Higaki's voice was so annoying. Especially since he suddenly popped up. Took me half the episode to get used to him...

Anyway interesting episode, nice cliffhanger as well. Though it's not too surprising that Houou couldn't handle the blade. I mean look at it, such an evil aura. And I really can't wait to see what kind of finale this series has in store for us~!

Every month when this show comes out, I am so excited... but I also dread it a little bit that I maybe have forgotten too much over all these months. This episode was just what I needed because it summed up the evolution that Shichika and Togame have experienced...

...especially regarding what is their objective (or lack of it), and confronting the fact that they have been tracking down and essentially slaughtering people (who were mostly minding their own business) for this ambiguous objective....

But the whole thing has been beautiful nonetheless.

Penguin is also powerful despite being cute. ^.^

here is a small example which is mention in LN but not in the Anime

I wonder is it that the sub that makes people think Kyoutou Yasuri is that 13th complete set deviant sword? .... Oh well, I am not going to start another argument like this anyway....

Lot of things mentioned in this ep. One of the better animes I have watched in the last 10 months. Will be said when there is no more in the new year.

Will have to rewatch to make sure I caught everything.

10 episodes in....no point of complaining about all the talking in this really....well at least until the final, full series review.

Same here. I'm not at all surprised that Kyotoryuu is the thirteenth blade, especially after the last episode. But still it's nice that it's confirmed. I have a feeling that Emonzaemon and Houou have a matchup waiting for them next month. This is going to be good if not spectacular!

By far this series is still my favorite of my seirs watch list, So much philosophy, suspence, and anticipation, not to mention a whole lot of fun. The way Shichika and Togame's relationship grows is funny and cool.

I wasn't really a fan of the pacing/structure of the episode. There was no reason for it to have had the out of order beginning that loops back in on itself, and a lot of the dialogue was packed at the beginning seemingly for the only purpose of wearing the viewer down for the important conversation that happens at the half-point. So it's a bit like a false sense of depth. Though, I suppose artistically, there is an argument to be made that such a structure/effect mirrors what Shichika and Togame went through.

Nevertheless, I shall mourn the death of Penguin for a month.

very good (psychological?) episode, the last two episodes would have to be an absolute failure for me to not consider this show the best of the year.

Awesome episode, it took a surprising amount of effort to follow the conversations.

I'm not sure what they revealed by doing all that talking, other than Kyoutoryuu's being the 13th blade and making Shichika and Togame strengthen their resolve to complete their mission (whatever the point is).

Great setup for the last two (probably action-packed) episodes.
Don't forget.

Ok. If you didn't happen to love, like, or thought the episode was ok, then you need some serious help! This was a great episode in terms of balance! However, I did find it to be a bit boring at some very few points. Generally, the recap aspect of it. But the thing that made the episode so great, was the psycological and dramatic content all packed together in a logical sense that related to everything that happened so far. Everything we've seen before, but put into a sense that we really haven't thought about. Ah, I could go on for days about this episode! (*.*). Shichika missed the kiss at the end! :'(. Oh well! Absolutely looking forward to the next episode.

P-Pengin! ;_;

Well, we'd all guessed that Shichika/Kyotouryruu was a Deviant Blade, so no big surprise there. Though I was a bit surprised at the "Princess Hitei as descendant" revelation; will that really change anything? Sure, it tells us what her motivation for collecting the Deviant Blades is (kind of), but overall... idk.

This series has lost a lot of its appeal for me, I'm not sure why. Oh well. Still looking forward to seeing how it all pans out.

Hmm, great episode with a lot of philosophical ideas being tossed around. Higaki was a cool character, and I liked the idea of his bladeless sword. Also a couple of revelations made, one somewhat expected, while the other not so much. So Princess Hitei is collecting the swords for the sake of her family...?

And damn, this show is getting intense. Everything's falling into place for hopefully a truly epic finale. December can't come soon enough!

Oh and hopefully Pengin doesn't die T.T
