I've been watching anime since I was little; my first anime was Lady Oscar( in French) known as "The Rose of Versailles" in English, but at that time for me it was just a regular cartoon along the ones I used to watch on Saturday morning.

In 1999 I moved to the United States and started to watch Sailor Moon before going to work and got really hooked into anime with Dragon Ball Z.

So I don't know how many anime I've watch before 1999, and like Lady Oscar I can only remember Akira as my first manga.

I love anime and manga; lately it is hard for me to find something of my taste (too old maybe), but time to time I would discover a gem.

It's the best anime movie ever! I understand, I'm weird too. Make sure to also watch the TV anime, it's childish but awesome. The final episodes are epic.

yeah same here i normally just watch whatever the new seasons bring some of the times i end up watching something pretty good or i get typical generic ecchis which there seems to be a lot of for the summer lineup.. but what can you do that's what most of the Japanese audience wants now a days it's nearly impossible for a series to not have some amount of fanserivce haha.

though to be honest i don't mind it once in a while when it's done right not just like you said pantie shots and big jiggling boobs!,wish we could get past that stuff.

if you've been deprieved of good anime i guess it would make mediocre shows seem awesome lol
hope this winter they come out with some decent 2nd and 3rd season of good shows...

take what ya can get right? hah

on average there wasn't that many good animes this year.
i'd say there was some amazing ones. and some very mediocre ones.

Don't you feel bad for Shimao though? He has to watch his wife love someone else.. I do want Hazuki to have Rokka and let her move on, but Shimao shouldn't have to see that. Imo, he has the right to be selfish and want Rokka for himself. I see where the phrase you mentioned is coming from, but he was never in the wrong.. just circumstances pulled him and Rokka apart.

I admire Hazuki for his selflessness though. "I don't mind being the second choice all my life." That honestly made me tear up lol. Him carrying the burden for both Rokka and Shimao, that's so beautiful :D
