This show seems very similar to love hina in many aspects. Explaining is hard without giving spoilers but the characters, comedy style, amd even look is similar i highly suggest both anime.

Both series are lightly comedic romances (with harem elements) in which a fairly ordinary college student is suddenly visited by a beautiful yamato nadeshiko type woman who becomes his romantic partner.

They both have an air of innocence about the main female character. The whole idea that love can conquer all is a theme throughout both series. They both have a fair amount of fan service in them. However, Ai Yori Aoshi has a bit of a harem twist that Chobits doesn't really have at all. They're both well-animated, touching love stories that I recommend to anyone that likes to watch romantic comedies.

Both series have one main male protagonist surrounded by various girls of conflicting personalities. Family issues are part of the plot bringing emotions and drama. Additionally, both MC are considered to have better self control than typical harem leads; not freaking out completely during typical "ecchi" scenes. Both anime(s) also contain plenty of comedy.

Both are romantic anime where the main protagonist doesn't know that they has a fiance. In the anime the fiance arrives suddenly and make the life enjoyable. I recommend to watch both.

girls showing up saying they're in love with the lead male and a huge harem the harem has shy girls and out going girls and all are attracted to the same although shuffle is ecchi they are very simmilar

This is rather similar in terms of the love and harem kinda theme, with one main male protaginist, surrounded by a number of cute girls who all have feelings for him. except unlike Ai yori aoshi, Kanon, is about a boy who doesn't remember his past, and moves to a town where he had forgetton about. Kanon like Ai yori has lots of lovey dovey scenes, but unlike ai yori aoshi kanon, is a tearjearker, which is suprisngly the reason why alot of people love it, the comedy in both animes differ, the characters also differ but are fun to watch.

Sweet, more realistic romantic comedies. InK is less cheesy overall, but if you like one and you'll like the other.

One guy, many girls, you get the idea. Both main characters are also students at college. Ai Yori Aoshi focuses more on drama and romance while Sekirei has more action. The storyline for both series also gets emotional at many points.

They are both romantic, and loving theme, maybe Ai yori is not so comic, but it is worth seeing

A girl from a noble family reunites with the guy she last saw eons ago as a child, and then hilarity and drama ensue. Both are those types of romance where the main couple gets decided quickly.

It's basically similar theme, and kind of same storyline (but not really). But i find these 2 very similar! and great overall!
report Recommended by deathgame3
Both really good serious romance with solid background comedy!

Another of Ken Akamatsu's harem animes. While there are many more girls than normal for a harem anime, this fits right along with the theme for Ai Yori Aoshi.
report Recommended by androidodnetnin
They are both harems to begin with yet the main character is *only* interested at one girl. Yet there are times in which he takes a second glance at the others. They are also great comedies.

Once again the main character ends up falling in love with another main character.

These series are not alike but Tina made me think of Saya. it also made me think how interesting Tina would be in the world of Blood+

These two animes have a similar theme of several beautiful woman longing to be in a relationship with the lead man. The playful and comedic style of anime results in many 'misunderstood' scandalous situations on the leads behalf. To LOVE-Ru is a bit less serious than Ai Yori Aoshi.

Same voice actor for main female character. Couple living under same roof. It simply gave me similar feeling.

Both are exceptional romantic stories with highly developed characters and a strong plot. Ai Yori Aoshi is much more idealistic. Golden Time delves much deeper into the traumatic past of the male lead. Ai Yori Aoshi hints and the depth of trauma that the male lead had to endure for years; however, it fails to fully show how the male lead has overcome his past so that he can persue a healthy relationship with the leading female. Golden Time ties up some loose ends that I feel that Ai Yori Aoshi didn't entirely answer. However, Ai Yori Aoshi is a  read more

they are both about a guy who interacts with a lot of girls in a way that might rise the doubt of which one is he going to choose, the difference is that in ai yori aoshi its a little more clear who the main girl is. but they both are about romantic comedy with the mc being friends with all of them.

As for "Ai Yori Aoshi", I would like to draw your attention to the anime "Rec". Although the main characters are brought together in different ways, in Ai Yori Aoshi Aoi-chan approaches Karou directly and in Rec a twist of fate is responsible for Aka-chan and Matsumaru finding each other, but the result is quite similar. Visually, the series are on a similar level, and the music and voice acting are of a very equally high standard. Both anime are beautifully presented and entertaining. By the way, "Ai Yori Aoshi" is based on a very beautiful and touching manga. As always, thank you for reading and  read more

Good SoL show that pretends to be a harem show, but never is.
report Recommended by Gafennec
Both shows start off with a similar premise. Both involve a male MC, with previous emotional trauma, whose life suddenly gains purpose when the female MC suddenly enters his life declaring that she is his fiance. Not to mention, the female lead in Ai Yori Aoshi is the typical "old-fashioned, proper Japanese lady" type, which compliments setting of this show.

Bad day at work? Lonely, and finding life meaningless? Here's the anime for you! Both feature dedicated 'wives' or 'waifus' in slice of life comedic situations with MCs who are more useless than eraser dust.
report Recommended by McKemzie
Both have the lead female being innocent. Whereas TK has her getting married to the male MC, here we have an arranged marriage. I feel that during these two seasons we'll see how these two MCs grow together, just like in TK.

Both show are very casual romantic drama involving the relationships among a group of friends (although Ai Yori Aoshi gets serious in some episodes, and even more so in the later unadapted parts of the original manga). In addition, we know that the childhood friends pair is winning from the very first episode, and both of the pairs are very sweet and get even sweeter as the series progresses.

Both the main characters Kaoru and Aoi are like Godai and Kyoko, except Aoi doesn't show much of her temper towards others, especially Kaoru. Also both of the main male characters fall in love their lanlord, who also helps them out. And the supporting characters are just like the supporting characters in Maison Ikkoku. Also Godai and Kaoru are also college students too. Very similar plot as well .

both are very good love stories. Even if they have a very different developement, they share the stile of main characters wich are passioned and their actions and desitions seems to be like the onesthat normal people have in real life. you would feel like whatching the best of the soup operas : P

The slice of life factors, along with the Romantic-Comedic, Its a great anime comparing to FB

Old childhood friends re-unite after a long period of time and are both comedy romance. One is set in high school and the other one has college students.
report Recommended by spineslayer
You get the same kind of enjoyment. Though Ai Yori Aoshi has more character depth and a more serious tone to it. But it's also more rewarding, in that sense. Enjoy one and you're pretty much guaranteed to enjoy the other.
report Recommended by TheDeadServ
Both have to hide their relationship, relationships established fairly early in both series.
report Recommended by MasterTaro
They both involve one guy getting multiple women interested in him while living in the same house.

Ok, so if you love the lovey dovey and sexualy stimulating cute kind of animes, Then you have probably watched Ai yori Aoshi. But what you probably haven't watched is a similar short anime called DearS - About a young male who finds a defective innocent alien girl cast out by her own kind. He takes her in and takes care of her while trying not to let the snoopy landlord's daughter find out about her. All in all i can honestly say if you liked Ai yori Aoshi then you will definitely like DearS ^.^ Give it a shot!

In both shows, a guy is thrown into a new life, falls in love from the get-go, and then has a few serious moments every now and then, with a lot of harem-hijinks to pad the episode length.
report Recommended by robfoster
Both are harem anime. Girls Bravo seems to leave you wanting more and Ai Yori Aoshi actually ends with a relationship.
report Recommended by crazyisgood
Both are old-style animes around the time of the original DBZ. The stories do have one main difference involving the TYPE of romance relationship however. Ranma is a romance that requires the characters to slowly warm up to each other, whereas in Aoshi they jump right into the relationship, although it fits given the beginning of the story.
report Recommended by Shadolance
Both feature very innocent love stories, centered around the joys of living together in a dorm/apartment.
report Recommended by SamuraiBlue19
both animes are similar because its is basically about secret love. They will both have you crying laughing and wishing those lucky characters were you ^_^

Both are harems that focus on older characters and dabble with characters that are very, well, "japanese". Ai Yori Aoshi has a yamato nadeshiko character, while White Album features idol singers. Both shows also deal with themes that are more mature than your typical harem show.

To say that Ah! My Goddess and Ai Yori Aoshi have similarities is more than likely a light reference to the fact that they could be twins. It's true that Ai Yori Aoshi doesn't have magical powers involved; however, focusing more on the roots of harem type of shows. One of the key factors shared in both shows is a meeting between the two main couples when at a young age before they found true love. If anything, both are intense romances to the core with light humor sprinkled here and there. It's true there is a bit more development in the male lead in  read more

Similarities: The guy is not a pervert or an idiot (thank God). The main female character is filthy rich. There are a lot of girls that fall for the same guy, but the boy is only interested in the main female lead. Disimilarities: The character in Ai Yori Aoshi are older (most of them are in college). In Ai Yori Aoshi the main characters are engaged.
