Ai Yori Aoshi

Both great romance comedy and have great main characters that leave you wanting more! manga versions are better though (love hina manga is WAY better) 

this both anime about guy living in a house with a bunch of cute girl..and many funny scene... 

Both are about two childhood loves that try to find their way together in life. Well Love Hina is more funny while Ai yori Aoshi is more serious. Still if you like one you also like the other. I'm sure about that. 

I may get killed after saying this, but I think Ai Yori Yoshi is actually better/more interesting than Love Hina. That being said, if you like Love Hina, if you are looking for a similar show, or if you like the added aspect of a "sudden girlfriend appearance", Ai Yori Aoshi is the best choice for you.  

A guy surrounded by many girls, but only has eyes for one of them. Both are very kind boys who often get misunderstood. 

Both anime series are romantic-comedies with a harem feel to both. Both male protagonists are at the university age, who through unique circumstances, ends up living with numerous pretty girls (or a harem of girls). A harem at the start of both series, it's made pretty clear early on to the viewer, who the fated matched couple in the end will likely be. 

One guy, one hell of a lot of fodder girls, one girl that you know "wins", and an awful lot of violence directed at aforementioned guy. 

These are both quite similar. The difference: Love Hina is move comedy-driven while Ai Yori Aoshi is story-driven. Love Hina has more ecchi moments than Ai Yori Aoshi, but they are both series you should watch light-heartedly. 

In both two childhood friends want to meet again for love. The male character who is often misunderstood is in the house with females around. Lots of ecchi moments in both. Same slap stick comedy routines. 

One guy in a dorm with a bunch of girls. There's a hidden past between the lead characters that only draws them closer as they remember it. The side characters even seem the same. If you liked one, you'll defenitly like the other :) 

Love Hina, while far more 'cartoonie than Ai Yori uses similar humor, is from the same studio, and has a longer romance arc giving it more cute moments. It is well worth watching every episode of Love Hina, as what you are given is cute romance and a strong female role who demonstrates the ability to encourage. The romance is cute in the way that the main characters parallel and contrast one another. 

Made a promise to a girl as a child. How about forgetting about it only for her /or you, to show up at the doorstep only to find out it was something that they never forgot. 

These are really close in the story line the main couple meet in the beginning and then the rest of the story is about how they they live. Both shows have a bunch of other girls that come in and mess up the happy relationship the main couple have. And lastly they are both heart warming and funny. 

Ah! My Goddess is mostly about the pure relationship between Belldandy and Keichii. You will find a similar boy meets girl, girl and boy fall in love, girl and boy go through obstacles plot line in Ai yori Aoshi 

Guy meet a girl, star to live with her and they fall in love with each other 

boy falls for girl, girls have to hide their relationship to friends 

A college guy has a woman suddenly appear with plans to spend the rest of her life with the guy, she cooks and cleans at the place they now live at, and a harem starts popping up. 

Ai and Belldandy, both share the same traits;t their unconditional love and devotion to the main male lead. 

Both anime involve female characters who suddenly step into the male protagonists lives and transform it. The primary difference between the shows is simply the fact that one is a Goddess.  

These anime is similar in many ways, they are both slice of life series and have the same romantic tones to it. The main woman character are also very similar in character in which they are loving, caring, and gentle in nature. I don't want to classify them as nadeshiko because it would be a disservice to Belldandy and Aoi. I think chances are of you like one you will like the other 

Ah! My Goddess is literally what Ai Yori Aoshi would be if the girls in AYA were goddesses, and if the harem elements were much more subtle. 

There are many similarities: Both girls meet boys in beginning, live with them and fall in love. Later other girls join in the picture but are not necessarily big competitors for protagonists' affections. Both girls are Yamato Nadeshiko and are great homemakers. They both can be pretty badass and defend their love in trying circumstances. Both are romantic, harem comedies 

Ai yori Aoshi is Similar to chobits in terms of how the anime gives of a feeling of Innocence. Both the female lead seems to be very gullible while the male lead seems rather shy and delusional at first.  

The female lead of each show (Aoi and Chii) both have a similar feeling of innocence to them, both care for the male lead of each show, and both happen to have the same voice actress (Michelle Ruff). Also, both shows are just very sweet and romantic, and Hideki and Kaoru are both somewhat similar personality wise, and both happen to "find" the female lead in a sense. 

Both have romance in the anime of a guy falling in love with the girl. 

I am not a fan of HAREM but these two are exemptions because even though it's about one boy and several girls, the guy is definitely not indecisive just like the typical storyline in any harem which I really hate  

Both feature an MC who isn't a standard harem wimp/pervert, and both have a girl who obviously is going to win. 

Both are slice-of-life romantic dramas featuring young men who seem cheerful on the surface, but are soon revealed to have a boatload of angst and trauma stemming from a tragic past, and are prone to a mixture of anger and depression. In both cases, they encounter a very shy but extremely sweet and absolutely adorable girl who ends up bringing some long-overdue sunshine and happiness into their lives. However, Tomoya is notably more brooding than Kaoru is and has a considerably rougher personality. In general, "Clannad" is a lot darker than "Ai Yori Aoshi", as while the latter has tons of heartwarming moments with a few tearjerkers on the side, the former has more of an even mixture of both. Essentially, Tomoya and Nagisa's relationship is like a darker, more angsty version of Kaoru and Aoi's. While both are well worth watching, I have to say that "Clannad" is better, as it has better animation and music and a lot more character development. Basically, if you liked "Ai Yori Aoshi", you will definitely like "Clannad". read more 

Both are about an engagement between a couple, but are supposed to keep the it a secret from others. The only difference is that Ai Yori Aoshi is a harem series, and Mikakunin is more of a romcom. 

The same scenario where the mc are engage to someone in an arrange marriage, except one was more for the seinen type while the other is more for the younger ones.  

Main couple that doesn't really know each other well at first. They keep their status secret from their friends. In both animes you find comedy, drama and a solid story. One is supernatural but that is not the main issue in the story. They are cute, hilarious and interesting. (Sorry for my bad English) 

Shuffle! and Ai Yori Aoshi are both in the Harem and Comedy genres. They also involve future plans for the male protagonist to marry one of the girls in the anime. But the most important similarity is just how heartwarming these two anime are. Most of the characters in the two anime are very kind and sweet to the main protagonist, and have very few annoying characteristics. Also, unlike some other Harem anime where the girls are fighting against each other over the main protagonist, the female characters in both anime seem to get along really well, and there's even a sense of camaraderie with them (with a couple of exceptions). There's another similarity between the two that I won't spoil, but you'll see it if you watch both anime to their ends. read more 

Both are romance anime that feature young men with very similar appearances who find themselves reconnecting with multiple girls from their past, and end up having to face some kind of past trauma. In both cases, the sweet, blue-haired girl with the odd sleeping habits is the one they've known the longest. Additionally, despite featuring one male lead surrounded by a bunch of female leads, they don't really qualify as harem anime as the girls rarely come into conflict with each other. The main difference between them, apart from "Ai Yori Aoshi"'s characters being older, is that "Kanon" has some definite magic realism to it while "Ai Yori Aoshi" is completely ordinary. "Kanon" is also darker, though it definitely doesn't seem that way at first. read more 

Ai Yori Aoshi is about a person who starts an unapproved relationship with her childhood crush. The series has 2 seasons, the two never get together but the moments they share bring them closer together. It is set primarily in college and their home. Itazura na kiss spans high school life, college life, and finally ends with the characters in work. Very much like Clannad. Ai Yori Aoshi is a charming anime, however, if you felt like you could have seen more development and progression through life, then Itazura Na Kiss is a suitable fit.  

Both shows happen to star a student who one day has a woman who is similar to Belldandy from Ah! My Goddess enter his life. Both shows also have an overall similar vibe (well, Sekirei has the vibe when it's not facing combat), and I find both shows to be extremely enjoyable. 

Both have the similar plot characters are distinctly different...Lots of fun to watch 

When I watched Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na. It reminded me of Ai Yori Aoshi because you get that feeling that with love, you can overcome all obstacles 

These two series has a few strikingly similarities: - involves the growing relationship between the two main characters - similar feeling and theme although Ai Yori Aoshi leans more into the drama/romance side - main protagonist rents a place with other girls - similar style If you're looking for more comedy, Mahoraba: Heartful Days is the way to go. For more drama/romance, Ai Yori Aoshi is the ticket. 

Similar to Suzuka is Ai Yori Aoshi, a shounen romance drama with the same generic elements like evry kind of girl that is in the series, the only difference is in the female lead in Suzuka an active, athletic and hot tempered girl, in Ai Yori Aoshi a domestic, caring and naive girl. But they have a common kind of story that are liked by the ones that like the genre, Suzuka is like a mixture or variation on many similar series. 

Both animes have fanservice and are considered "harem" animes.  

Both main characters are boys that are surrounded by a ton of attractive women. In the series, the main character already has an interest in one of the many girls but due to many problems and hindrances they are negated to reveal they're true feelings.
