Both are old-style animes around the time of the original DBZ. The stories do have one main difference involving the TYPE of romance relationship however. Ranma is a romance that requires the characters to slowly warm up to each other, whereas in Aoshi they jump right into the relationship, although it fits given the beginning of the story.
