Misao did have a purpose after all. Given someone of Kenshin's personality, she did accept to help her to join in their journey. I love their chemistry already, kinda reminds me of Kenshin and Kaoru.

Kaoru also takes care of Yahiko on their own trip. She's like an older sister to him and it's charming to watch.

I mean girl, those guys who you admire so much, were practically killed in front of this one guy you’re asking if he knows them or not, moreover Aoshi is out for his blood, so yeah, it isn’t just that he “knows” them. Though you know, Kenshin a good guy and he actually didn’t want to hurt her by letting her know the truth, so man did every logical thing there was, but yeah, in front of anime girls who just scream for the sake of it, of course logical things ain’t gonna work.

There is still some decent enough time til all of them reunite, so yeah, don’t really mind seeing Kenshin and Misao being the central duo for the time being as I mean she has an important role to play later on, though Kenshin should stop acting like her legal guardian lol. Anyway, finally we saw what Shishio and his men are actually capable of pulling, we saw a bit last season too but nah, the stuff with this village is messed up. Will be a good couple of episode till this mini arc would last.

Kenshin dodges Misao's questions about the Oniwabanshu, knowing the truth would break her, especially after all the stories she has to tell of them.
Sanosuke goes to Kyoto on foot but Kaoru and Yahiko will get there quicker by ship.
With what Saitou said about Sanosuke being a liability to Kenshin because he'll stray from the mission if he has someone to save, he sees that Kenshin is off fighting in Shingetsu Village with Misao and Eiji, (the scenes were very brutal in the Kyoto Inferno movie), avoiding Shishio terrible reign over the village, the government has given up on sending cops, leaving it off the map. Shishio is nearby though so it's not deviating from the mission that much.

btw: Eiji's VA is Shouya Chiba (Shin in 86)

The sky through the tree leaves shots were very nice to look at.

Hajime's kill at the end there was so sick, the way it was drawn looked pretty gruesome for a couple seconds there and the timing of it was impactful to say the least. This season's been off to a good start (helped by very good source material of course). I continue to enjoy the dynamics that Misao and Kenshin have throughout this journey in the start of the Kyoto arc. Plus, it is already clearly visible what threat Shishio is to people like the Shingestu village as shown in the episode and how bodies were left hanging and dripping with blood and Eiji's brother dying like that too.

If only Misao knew what her idols had got up to and why Kenshin had to fight them.. all things considered I’m surprised she and Ken got on a good basis so quickly lol. For now, Senkaku and his iron rule over the village are the priorities and I can’t wait to see him pay for the crimes he’s done to those innocent people. It’s rare to see Kenshin straight up say no one’s getting out of this without getting their ass beat.

So now Misao is here to stay, just took her following Kenshin everywhere and failing a jump to earn it lol, but I’m glad she’s sticking around because she’s a lot of fun so far, cute too of course. It’s unfortunate Kenshin won’t tell her what happened to the Oniwaban Group tho, I get why he’s not but I feel like it’s gonna be bad if she finds out later from someone else, Aoshi is still kicking at least but that news will still hit very hard for her.

And after discovering a dying lad and his younger brother Eiji, Kenshin is now roped into saving a village from a high ranking member of the Shishio Clan, Senkaku, and Lord Shishio himself is apparently in the village, maybe Kenshin doesn’t need to go to Kyoto after all lol. But these are some bad mfs, Kenshin letting everyone know that they’re catching these hands whether they want it or not was kinda badass, but it's not just Kenshin whoopin’ ass, Saito is here too, and based on his brutal kill on that one dude, the bad guys are better off taking on Kenshin lol.

I jumped from chair when he looks at that gift from Megumi: i was like "if i made somebody smile some day I got something cool on me", also in other part I did the same thing but instead shouting "IM A SAMURAIII" i was saying something that translated to english means "GO, GET ALL THEM !!!!"; all this just in intro. I laughed when Sano got MORE LOST LMFAO All fight scenes with him were fucking amazing till now since i remember.
I didnt like when shurinken were throwed and kenshin made it go the opposite direction - would be close to IRL if it moved like changing tragetory to go close but not on him, - i didnt like the part he got a shurinken in head for the same reason: first season was awesome for how close things were to reality, in other words, was cool watching and getting hyped to do that IRL but what im seeing is pretty far from real. - I liked how that girl wnated to see so much the double kodachi guy that risked her life for it and kenshin let she stay with him after it, but wasnt motivating seeing him jumping to the bottom of that GRAND CANNNYON ravine and getting up from it - seems impossible as well and i think he would stay like that way when touching the ground for more time before the jump to start going up.
At the end, Was cool seeing Saito killing and joining the fight at the end. I was hyped to see the combat but the episode ended: good way to keep people watching the anime. All I would like were more scenes with things close to real - - ' I dont remember 1 fight with sword pretty nice till now in this season. On a samurai anime the best fight was with punchs. If anybody from development team reading it, please, bring things close to real like first season because i thnk its gonna give so much more touch, in other words, so much more value to the anime.

We get a lot of Kenshin with Misao in this episode. As he starts off Trying to shake her off but eventually succumbs to her persistence and drive to know more. Kenshin rightly determines that telling her the truth of the Oniwaban group would only bring pain. Its better for now if Misao doesn't know. Kenshin showing her mercy by letting Misao tag along now. He could've easily out ran her but he lets her come with him! We get some funny comedic moments between them as they travel. Which we probably won't get much more of the closer Kenshin gets to Shishio. So its nice to savor some comedy until the super serious moments happen. I liked the check in we got with the rest of Kenshin group. Sanosuke is getting lost in the woods, Kaoru and Yahiko are traveling smartly by ferry boat, and Megumi is lost in thought at her job. Kenshin and Misao stumble upon a heavily injured man holding his little brother. A very sad scene as Kenshin learns about this destroyed village. Entering his serious mode as he enters the village looking for Shishio since apparently he visits this place a lot. Kenshin keeps running into trouble but if there's anyone who can handle trouble its him!

That scene at the massive drop Kenshin jumped was the most predictable scene I think I’ve ever scene in an anime. Not saying it was bad or anything.

I literally said what would happen and it happened exactly as I said it

Lol when you want to get someone to tell you something you insult them until they do. But for Misao persistance is part of her charm. Sano getting lost is part of his journey as well. At least Kaoru and Yahiko's journey was peaceful. With japan being so big of a nation protecting every village and town is impossible sadly. RIP the brothers parents though. Hmm with Saito here as well looks like the detour to the village is gonna be fun.

Misao Makimachi pissing me off with her rudeness. So much for toning her down for the remake. She's the same as she was in the 1996 version. Wish Kenshin just let her fall to her death after she tried to jump over the cliff. How about apologising to him for being rude earlier?

Hajime Saitou killing that guy by stabbing him from the back of his head, sword going out of his mouth was so fucking cool and violent and satisfying. Kenshin will obviously never kill anyone, even the ones who deserve to die, and just knock them out instead, which is not satisfying, but fortunately Hajime Saitou's there to kill those assholes, and of course it's satisfying to see them get killed after they slaughtered innocent people.

Three episodes in and the amount of comedy is slowly surpassing the amount the entirety of S1 had. Weird considering Kyoto Saga is fairly more sober and serious than Tokyo.

Still a very good episode tho. Really excited for what's to come now that they have reached the village.

So i guess Sanosuke is Zoro after all LMFAO

Kenshin x Misao bonding episode.

Kenshin is a good dude, of course he couldn't tell Misao what's going on with Oniwaban group.

That Hajime kill at the end was so gruesome, looks really good.

In role playing game terms, Kenshin is in the middle of a dungeon crawl to 'level up' before he meets Sishio. Of course, I never tire of seeing him getting underestimated. Case in point once again this episode.

Nah this narrator is such a dub. Kenshin and Misao are on a classic adventure, while the rest are either lost (real emphasis on Sano xD), spaced out, or seasick, lol.

But yeah, now it's time for the first encounter with Makoto, and Hajime is joining in

Ofc bro not letting Aoshi little lover get lost in the middle of his journey. Different with Sano which funnily lost there. While Yahiko and Kaoru even with their shortage still found their own trouble, especially with the boy. Oh don't forget with Megumi which worries but can't do anything about that. Poor woman xd.

Aside of that, finally time to make a real challenge for Kenshin, finding out the direct subordinate of Shishio in the middle of the abandoned village. Really looking forward to see another greatness of Hitokiri Battosai slaying all those evil beings down....

Misao really is clueless about what Aoshi's group did last season huh. She probably doesn't need to know. But her teasing him to provoke answers tho XD oh boy. I'm fairly sure the moments of Kenshin reflecting on what to do with her was actual 3D footage of trees, which doesn't look that bad. Just details that stick out to me.

Apparently she also has the habit of not giving up, like Kenshin's friends. But Kenshin is built different, and she puts her life at risk to match that. Catching her in the ravine tho. And with that, he has a new follower (at a distance).

Misao is doing work as the stand-in companion frfr XD he's sweet for thinking of her along their forest path.

Rip to the village taken over by Shishio's men. The first trouble pit stop. Brutal to have the kid's family slashed up and hung in front of the village. They just wanted to live.. and they were left out hanging for em.
