yeah first shin and then a little later we got kumanomi with her magnetism, so i was worried we'd get too many characters with special abilities, but thankfully it's only limited to the characters who were experimented on and the rest of them just have goofy gimmicks lmao. sakamoto's transformation hasn't been addressed apart from us just seeing that he burns fat really quick somehow lol but i honestly don't even think we will get an explanation, like most things in this manga it'll probably boil down to the rule of cool

i love kamihate lmfao, he's gag of just being a sentient sniper who walks around in public and even uses the laptop as a sniper is too good xD and he simps over osaragi (he just like me fr)
right, yeah that's a valid complaint about arc endings feeling rushed but me personally, i'm kinda fine with it because i feel like the whole manga in general moves at a fast pace. for example, in the latest chapter, we see sakamoto wondering about who ''you know who-'' is when kindaka said he has to train at the next level, and a few panels later he runs into torres from the order lol. even the major fights never last more than 3 chapters (saka vs kanaguri, shishiba vs yotsumura, gaku vs nagumo, etc.) so yeah it's just a suzuki thing i guess haha. and yeah lu got shafted very early on, but at the same time if she were to still fight then she would die against almost anyone lmao. my cope is that she's doing her own background training and she'll make an appearance during the final fight of the series🙏

damn i never see anyone acknowledging natsuki in this series, very underrated one and he's cover goes so hard as well. my favorite cover has to be either the one with nagumo in vol 6 or kamihate in vol 16 though, the details on the barrel of the sniper and the color scheme is too good

yepp this arc seems to be taking it a little slow after the last one which went crazy, to setup for the next one and i really appreciate how we still have breather arcs and get character interactions in. again glad you enjoyed it and joined the sakabros gang!

i hope you haven't forgotten about the events up till where you stopped in dandadan lol get on that! true, hope the anime performs well even after that netflix fumble with the leaks. every new pv i see though, only looks better than the last and i'm getting more and more excited for it. if sakadays anime looked that good, i would've been over the moon😩 all in all, still glad at least dandadan got the treatment it deserves, the opening seems to be going viral as well, but i'm avoiding that as well and wanna experience the anime in all of it's glory officially haha

what a coincidence, it took me exactly 3 days to catch up to the latest chapter (at the time) as well lmao. i think it's thanks to the series' easy readability which suzuki really prioritizes. since a common complaint in shounen is how there's too much crammed dialogue (mostly in hxh and jjk), suzuki really tried to make it a smoother experience for all the readers (mentioned in the interview i've attached below), which also ties into the fluid action sequences. the fact that sakadays has no power system that requires explaining also helps it's case in omitting a lot of the typical dialogue haha
yes, i love how they lace in comedy with the dynamic action lmao so many characters can be goofy. osaragi is one of my favorite characters in the series! my only complaint is she doesn't get enough screentime haha

i see right now you've made more progress into the JCC infiltration arc, nice! any particular favorite characters or moments so far? also are you only gonna read physical or digital as well? and since you buy physical you must be familiar with the volume covers by now, it's widely accepted that sakadays has the best covers in jump right now!

where elusive samura is concerned, i cant really fault them for the CGI since it was a scene that used a lot of horses/ animals etc..

but I wont deny that they fumbled the dog chasing scene.. especially since it was so cool in the manga..
what I do worry about is in war scenes whether or not they will use CGI for all the soldiers or not.. there was a similar issue that they had with blue locke..

it seems to just be a constant of the anime realm to use CGI to take shortcuts.. but so far, I don't have high hopes for getting through chapters of the manga quickly.. it seems like it will end with the battle against sadamune and the ear guy.. and recruiting people for the other eps..

but that's just my take..
and to be fair it is out of cloverworks comfort zone.. in any case.. as a manga reader I can promise the earliest parts of the story are the worst ones and you only go up once they start getting into warring states/ prefectures.

Listen to your friend.. sakamoto manga is peak and the anime looks like a run of the mill seasonal/ mass produced cash grab anime..

sorry to say especially considering how much status Sakamoto days does have in the manga realm..

nothing to say about dandadan.. i see a bright future I'm ngl.. good on sensei for picking studio saru.

Some other honorable mentions this season would be tower of god, fairy tale 1000 year quest and Makein.. the last one being a romcom, not sure if that's ur cup of tea but whatever..

i don't think I will be watching TOG s2, especially since I have reached as far as I have in the webtoon.. the production would have to particularly good..

season 1 was fine as an intro, and it was the first webtoon to get the Crunchyroll anime treatment so I watched it.. but for now I think I will stick to the webtoon .
