~ About Me ~ Hey there! I'm IzanaSolos, but you can just call me Izana. I speak three languages: Spanish (Hola!), Japanese (こんにちは!), and English (Hello!). I was born in Japan, and anime has always been my thing, especially during my final year of university. I love watching exciting shows each season and discussing them on forums. My anime journey started with Pokemon, but I don't really count it as my first anime since I lost track of how many episodes I watched. Naruto holds a special place in my heart; it's practically part of who I am. I followed Naruto religiously on Toonami when I lived in the US and continued watching it in Japan for a decade. After taking a break, I got back into anime when Naruto appeared in Fortnite. I'm an avid Fortnite player, so I decided to rewatch Naruto, which reignited my passion for anime. That's when I joined MAL to keep track of all the anime I was watching. I'm excited about the conversations we'll have in the future. Looking forward to connecting with you all! ~ Favorite Anime ~ Naruto Naruto is an amazing anime that tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, a ninja aiming to become the Hokage. Through two series, Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden, we see Naruto's growth and his friendship with Sasuke. Shippuden adds depth with complex ninja lore and intense battles against the Akatsuki clan. What makes Naruto special is its mix of action and heartfelt moments, exploring themes like identity and sacrifice. Despite some slow parts and filler episodes, it's a captivating journey. In the end, Naruto is an epic adventure that touches fans with its themes of growth, determination, and friendship. Whether you're new to anime or a longtime fan, Naruto leaves a lasting impression. Shingeki no Kyojin / Attack on Titan Attack on Titan isn't just any anime; it's a worldwide sensation. With amazing animation, gripping characters, and a thrilling storyline, it's earned its place as a modern classic. The animation is stunning, especially during action scenes, and the design of the titans is both captivating and scary. What makes Attack on Titan stand out is its captivating story, full of mystery and intense moments. The characters, like Eren, Mikasa, and Armin, are well-developed and add depth to the series. It also explores deep themes like the horrors of war and moral dilemmas. The music by Hiroyuki Sawano adds to the intense atmosphere. Just a heads-up, though: it's not for everyone, as it contains graphic violence and heavy themes. In short, Attack on Titan is a must-watch for any anime fan, offering a thrilling and emotional journey from start to finish. Code Geass Code Geass is a gripping anime that blends strategy with a captivating story. It follows Lelouch vi Britannia, who seeks justice against an oppressive empire as the mysterious "Zero." The series stands out for its complex strategies and character dynamics, keeping viewers engaged with unexpected twists. Characters like Lelouch, Suzaku, and C.C. are well-developed, exploring themes of rebellion and morality. While visually impressive, occasional pacing issues and plot twists can be challenging to follow. Overall, Code Geass offers an immersive experience for fans of political intrigue and strategic combat. Vinland Saga Vinland Saga is an amazing anime that blends history, character development, and action seamlessly. It follows Thorfinn and others in the Viking Age, exploring themes of war and the search for peace. The action scenes are intense, the characters, especially Thorfinn, are well-developed, and the story combines historical accuracy with creative storytelling. It's worth noting that the series contains mature themes and violence. Overall, Vinland Saga is a must-watch for fans of gripping drama and historical settings. Koe no Katachi / A Slient Voice A Silent Voice, also known as Koe no Katachi, is a touching animated film released in 2016. It tells the story of Shoya Ishida, a young man seeking redemption for mistreating a deaf girl named Shoko Nishimiya. The movie explores themes of forgiveness and empathy. Visually, the film is stunning, capturing emotions and using color and symbolism to enhance storytelling. The characters, especially Shoya and Shoko, are well-developed and relatable. A Silent Voice addresses sensitive topics like bullying and mental health with care, emphasizing the importance of empathy and understanding. While the film is emotionally powerful, some moments may feel slow-paced, and certain plot threads could be explored further. Overall, A Silent Voice is a moving and thought-provoking film that resonates with audiences seeking a heartfelt story about redemption and human connection. Fruits Basket The 2019 adaptation of Fruits Basket brings the beloved manga to life with charm, engaging characters, and emotional depth. It follows Tohru Honda, who becomes involved with the Sohma family's zodiac curse. The series blends comedy and drama as Tohru helps heal the family's bonds. Character development is strong, with Tohru's kindness anchoring the story. The art and animations capture the manga's essence, and the series explores complex themes like family ties and trauma. While Fruits Basket excels overall, some viewers may find the pacing slow, and preferences for character dynamics may vary. In summary, Fruits Basket is a delightful anime with compelling storytelling and beautiful visuals, making it a must-watch for fans of shoujo anime. 8. Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai / Kaguya-sama: Love is War Kaguya-sama: Love is War is a funny romantic comedy anime about Kaguya and Miyuki, who both have feelings for each other but won't admit it. Instead, they play mind games to try and get the other to confess first. The show is hilarious, with perfect timing and silly situations that will make you laugh. Overall, The Quintessential Quintuplets is a touching story of love, growth, and family, perfect for fans of heartfelt anime. ~ Rating System ~ My ratings are based on how much I enjoyed a show at the time. They're subjective and can change. My assessments might be outdated. I give scores and detailed notes in my activities section. Feel free to ask if you have questions! :p 10 – An incredible experience from beginning to end that deeply resonated with me. 9 – Highly enjoyable with minor issues, an extension to my favorites. 8 – Remarkable, yet emerging issues are notable. 7 – Great, but nothing too remarkable. 6 – Entertaining, but lacks distinctiveness or has prevalent issues. 5 – Mixed feelings; I'd likely hesitate to watch something with this score or lower. 4 – Unremarkable, with negative aspects slightly outweighing positives. 3 – Disliked, but some redeeming qualities exist. 2 – Strong dislike, with acknowledgment of efforts made. 1 – Nothing is a 1. It'd be a slap to the face to the people who put effort to the project. ~ Favorite OPs & EDs ~
