Just passing through generally you can get away with minor local regulations if you aren’t living there because you can’t be expected to know. Federal things obviously apply but not too strict mostly. California is still terrible about that.


Yeah, nothing that different. Part of Louisiana does still have a lot of French speakers but they are still similar to the nearby area’s culturally. A holdover from when the British took canada and they moved to what at the time was still French territory.


South and Central America are the main sources but there’s a ton that aren’t. A bunch of arabs and indians come over from canada too. A few days ago just before trump was sworn in a border guard was killed by the canada border and a bunch of people only learned that it was happening there because Trump himself talked about it instead of pretending it doesn’t Happen. Definitely less now. Only a week in and Trump has deported more than 10% what biden did in 4 years. Still not that many since it’s currently on track to remove around 3 million of at least 30 million illegals but at least cartels and hostile militaries won’t grow their presence for now

Just remembered that sometime ago I said I'd send you
a episode of the English dub of Lupin the Third part 2.

Normally I don't like dubs but the ones I started out with, I really like.
The voice actors did a good job especially Tony Oliver (English VA of Lupin the Third).

If you like comedy and a mix of action, I think you'll like the show.
If not you can always watch the Japanese sub or the French dub if there's one
of Lupin the Third parts 4 and 5. They're similar to part 6. Each season is stand alone.

It's a mod he's playing. Personally I hate Mario 64 since it's too different from the original Mario games I love,

Luckily there hasn't been too much change with the operation of the country at least in the public sector where my father's working. In the case of Syria, it appears that drastic changes are taking place and who knows how much more difference will be injected in the near future. I'm very pessimistic when it comes to general politics honestly, so I don't try to get too close. Hong Kong can be quite sensitive too and I find that not having an opinion just makes life much easier, xD.

That's true, definitely a better approach to the issue than spending some money on expanding a tourist bridge, lmao. Japan's got potential to be on anyone's top preferred list as it stands already but for it to be higher up, I agree those issues have to be taken care of somehow or mitigated to the point where word doesn't get out, lol.

I guess buying in bulk and then raising the price marginally isn't really the trick to getting rich overnight but probably makes enough for the night, would be my best guess.

Ahaha, I've a friend working in Famima (Family Mart) and he tells me that hearing the first one at the start of every shift just drags you to reality. Step in, the usual chime goes off and all you can do is sigh and try to force a smile in that hopefully sticks around until the very end. Customer service isn't easy at all.

It's pretty depressing to be realistic in this day and age though. Some level of blind positivity and optimism is very important. Wish I could have more of the latter... Well, when it comes to moving to Japan and taking that big risk, I guess I'm not too far off, lol.

Fair point, convenience is supreme. When it comes to the urban area, there's no doubt HK beats even the best of Tokyo but overall, Japan's got that right balance. It's funny people say the same about the girls between the two countries. The extremes are in Hong Kong (more prettier and the other way around) but the average in Japan would be higher.

Oh, I don't know about Morocco, but in Ho Chi Minh and Manila, they've their own Uber taxi equivalents that have safety features that taxi drivers tend to not challenge, lol. Japanese taxi fares are something else!

I kind of made a blunder in my decision making which got me with a tutor role instead of an engineering role but well, it's probably for the better since I'm not exactly planning to stick around here too much longer.
