Yeah it's been a nice watch so far, Kyoani really knows how to make their aesthetically beautiful anime lol. More shoshimin by the same author next season should be nice too.

A quick search on Reddit and Twitter was all I needed to know what most manga readers thought, so yeah I always take what they say with a HUGE grain of salt since they can be irrational most times lmao 😭 The person who commented on my profile below yours also mentioned that people were upset with the studio of choice (TMS Entertainment)— a lot of others online were also talking abt how a studio more experienced with producing fight choreographies should've taken over the production (like MAPPA), so I kinda understand that train of critique 🤔

As for what I'll do now,,, hmm it's kinda hard to say tbh xD

I've got semester finals, so aside from the anime I'm watching for club challenges, I don't have time to keep up with anything airing rn. BUT! I'll be free by February 1st, so I'll most likely catch up with Sakamoto Days by then— season one is only going to be 11 episodes, so may as well give it a watch! I'll pick up the manga afterward and form my own opinion once I've given both a chance :D!

(Also rq I wanted to apologize for not replying to our previous convo! I got distracted and by the time I realized I never replied, too much time had passed so I felt really embarrassed to pick it up again after so long 😭)

dissapointing, especially because of how sucessful the manga is in magazine you would think suzuki would have studios lining up to adapt his works. Im not necessarily surprised because TMS are known fumblers ( I think its fine when its a seasonal romcom or just some non intense stuff, but for a show that's main appeal is its choreography it doesn't seem to live up at all to the manga or the hype) I have seen better things come from fan animations.Im ngl I’m going to watch for the love of the game Maybe they will lock in and change studios for s2 Or are saving budget for ep 12 Like some other studios.look at the treatment dandadan got, ( and while science saru is a fairly new studio ) they also managed to announce a s2 right after s1
dandadan isnt even in the main magazine.. its in jump plus 😭 with all the mid manga in the non competitive environment farming low elo. it never needed to be perfect, but the appeal of the initial series and why people loved sakamoto days to begin with has been entirely lost. we've seen oshimai and my little sister cant be this cute get a better adaptation than Sakamoto Days which is jumps second best selling manga. I think it could be okay for the earlier parts which are more slow paced but skipping chapters and cutting corners even in the opening and first look PV just screams low quality production isn't the way to get new fans who were waiting for the anime invested into what an amazing franchise sakamoto is.

Ah, I ain't peep that this came out, and I gotta say, I think the hollywood style of trailers really fits a show like Sakadays, and not whatever those last two trailers were. Do find it funny that they pulled the "from the publisher of: insert big jump titles" because other than Dr. STONE, TMS really ain't got nothing in the catalogue. But yeah, although it's still limited action, you can see some improvements from the last couple trailers like these scenes don't look half bad imo.


This trailer really just showed how ass TMS' marketing and PR team really is lmao. I did go to the pre-screening last week, and from the two episodes shown... it's not as bad as I though, but yeah, SD doesn't deserve that man :( Pacing is oddly fast though IMO. I won't spoil as the first two eps come out later tonight anyways lol, looking froward to what ya think of them :)
