WELCOME TO MY PROFILE! I started watching anime seriously since 2013. I used to only watch mainstream anime from late-2011 to mid-2013, though I did watch a little in 2010, like InuYasha, Naruto and Bleach. It basically started with Cowboy Bebop and Death Note in November 2011, then Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) and Neon Genesis Evangelion in December 2011. I've also been watching One Piece and Fairy Tail since 2012. I also watched Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, Digimon, Flint the Time Detective and Astro Boy (2003) when I was younger. When I'm not watching anime, I'm usually either reading manga, playing video games, or watching let's plays on YouTube. Since late 2013, watching anime soon became my main hobby. I had watched at least the first episode of about 30 anime series between 2010 and 2013, and had completed about 8 anime series total before I joined MAL. My favourite anime and manga is Hunter x Hunter (which I started with the manga in October 2013 and started the 1999 anime the next month, November 2013). I am a huge HxH fan and own every volume of the manga. My favourite donghua is Feng Ling Yu Xiu. My favourite episode of an anime is Hunter x Hunter (2011) episode 131 (Anger x And x Light), which I watched the same day it aired. (Also, if you plan to watch HxH (2011), watch the first episode of HxH (1999) first, as there is something that happens later in HxH (2011) which is more impactful if you watch HxH (1999) episode 1 first.) I give pretty much any type of anime a shot, except for anything that is BL, Magical Sex Shift (Ranma 1/2 is an exception), and Crossdressing, which I avoid. I also don't watch anime at a faster speed. I watch it in normal speed. Even if the anime I'm watching is boring but I don't want to drop it just yet, I continue watching it in normal speed. It's a matter of principle, and I also think watching anime at a faster speed is such a lame thing to do except for maybe recap episodes. I also skip previews of the next episode. The 1000th anime I completed (which includes TV series', OVAs, Movies, Specials etc): Blend S, on 23/12/2017. The 1500th anime I completed: Yuru Camp△ Movie, on 08/12/2022. The 500th TV anime series I completed: Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, on 08/04/2019. I usually drop an anime if I didn't like it. However, there are anime that I enjoyed or found watchable but only watched all the canon episodes then put them in my Dropped pile because I didn't watch all the filler episodes. These anime are: - Naruto - Naruto: Shippuuden - Bleach - Rurouni Kenshin (1996) (watched 2 times) - GetBackers - Shaman King (2001) - Hayate no Gotoku Season 1 - Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) - Soul Eater - Ranma 1/2 (1989) - Houshin Engi (1999) - Cardcaptor Sakura Also, I watched every episode of Sousei no Onmyouji the first time around, but later rewatched only the canon episodes. There are also incomplete anime adaptations that I watched, and would continue by reading the manga where the last canon episode of the anime left off, instead of reading the manga from the beginning. So far, I've done this with Rurouni Kenshin and Ranma 1/2, and I'm currently doing this with D-Frag, New Game, Sousei no Onmyouji, Akame ga Kill, Owari no Seraph, Rave Master, Gabriel DropOut, Magi, and Slam Dunk. On the topic of anime-style video games and video games based on anime/manga, I owned the game U.N. Squadron on SNES as a child, based on the manga Area 88 (I no longer have it). I have never played/read a visual novel, and probably never will. I own and have played Code Vein, Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Arise, Tales of Phantasia, Tales of the Abyss, Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest IV, Dragon Quest VI, Dragon Warrior VII, Dragon Quest VIII, Dragon Quest XI, Fire Emblem (GBA), Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Fire Emblem Awakening, Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright, Pokemon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Persona 3 (as well as the remake Persona 3 Reload), Persona 4, Persona 5, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, Grandia, Deathsmiles and Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan. I also own games that have anime cutscenes in them, like Xenogears and Mega Man 8. As for my collection, with anime, so far I own: TV series - The Complete Series (Episodes 1-37) of Death Note - Death Note: Rewrite 1 and 2 - Episodes 1-28 of Dragon Ball - Episodes 1-39 of Dragon Ball Z - Episodes 1-13 of Dragon Ball Super - Episodes 1-15 of Yu Yu Hakusho (stopped collecting) - Episodes 1-13 of Naruto - Episodes 1-13 of Naruto: Shippuuden - Episodes 1-12 of Bleach - The Complete Series (Episodes 1-26) of Mahou Sensei Negima (2005) - Episodes 1-13 of Trigun - Episodes 1-8 of Samurai Champloo - The Complete Series (Episodes 1-26) of Negima!?
