Week 01 Update Complete.

Hello Hello, fall is here. Just a handful of shows are yet to air as most experienced their first week.

After having a low top MAL score last season in the mid 8s, no such issues this time with the new Bleach season starting in the 9s and the new Re:Zero also just below that. We also see some incredible starts for non sequel shows with both Dandadan and Ao no Hako with excellent mid 8 starting scores. Chi.: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite was also another notable premiere.

As usual we see big score swings in the first few weeks and Uzumaki unfortunately took a big hit from last week. All the other shows from last week also fell bar Sengoku Youko, so it automatically takes the first anime of the week award.

Week 13 Summer / 00 Fall Update Complete.

A lot of changes were made over the course of the previous season in the background to try and streamline the data recording and processing we do here, so i'm happy to see one of the fruits of that being for the fall season we will be tracking up to 85 titles, a record for us here. You are free to request any you think we may have missed or you'd like us to follow and any general improvements/suggestions you'd like to see. I will try to solve the week/episode number disparity issue this season.

Summer is over but a handful of shows will cross into week 1 or 2 of fall but most of the major hitters concluded. The Fable which has been extremely impressive throughout its 2 cours finishes just inches away from an 8 despite a starting score in the 6s, i feel it will easily make up that differential when we do the final analysis for the season. On the other hand it was a mostly difficult season for Slime 3, no rises throughout its 2 cour run and not even the 1/5th ending boost could help it as it fell yet again on its conclusion. A difficult last few weeks for Make Heroine but its able to finish on a positive note in the end, as does NieR. Unfortunately a horror season for Kami no Tou as it fell all throughout its run time with its heaviest at the end, but it has a chance to make amends in...a week or so when the next season begins.

As for the fall, we have 2 shows already airing. Uzumaki with an excellent 8.14 start score but undortunately a very low ep count and Tensei Kizoku as well with a very competent mid 7 score to begin.

Week 12 Update Complete.

Penultimate Update of the season and this season has sort of flown by but onwards we must.

A Large number of shows concluded as expected, a big ending boost for Karasu Aruji sees it conclude above an 8 at the same time that Tower of God's score falls below a 7. There were also big ending boosts for Giji Harem and Tasogare Out Focus. The likes of Make Heroine who had been so perfect throughout the season continue to stagnate as it rolls meekly to its conclusion whilst Shinmai Ossan is having a great concluding few weeks after mostly a poor season, it ties top of score change with The Fable and takes Anime of the week again, this time sharing with The Fable and Wistoria.

Week 11 Update Complete.

We're finally starting to see a batch of shows concluding as the season winds down with BokuTsuma the pick of the bunch so far. While we no longer had any perfect MSP score shows left this season we did have Mahou Shoujo Aku being the only show yet to have a fall in score...until this week. That outright drop and subsequent stagnation from Make Heroine now allows NieR to lead the MSP table outright. 3 rises in a row for Nige Jouzu sees it make a huge gain on score change and The Fable is back to taking the top honors for the week.

Rozé is an ONA, and the club doesn't usually track these. (See also : the current season of Monogatari.) Especially as it didn't quite fit neatly into season limits (it started a bit early for Summer.)

Week 10 Update Complete.

As the season winds down it seems the best perfromers are a few of the leftovers. Both The Fable and Karasu Aruji top score change after the newer sesasonals lose a bit of steam toward the end. Although after losing perfect scores last week we see good recoveries from both Make Heroine and Mahou Shojo Aku as Oshi no Ko stagnates for the first time in 7 weeks. Unexpectedly Ossan Boukensha takes the anime of the week award.
