Hazure Skill "Kinomi Master": Skill no Mi (Tabetara Shinu) wo Mugen ni Taberareru You ni Natta Ken ni Tsuite

To start this review off, this review is not ironic or comedic in any nature.


The concept for this show is at best, ok, but it is by no means a (bad) concept. The concept feels like it was thought up in 10 minutes in order to try and be a unique story. There is not much to talk about the concept, except that it is just bland.

While I might have dunked on the show's concept pretty hard, the actual show is really good. The first few episodes start a little slow, but they keep you entertained. What really was entertaining though was when it got ... to the Necromancer, Blacksmith, and Fairy Crystal arc. I actually started to feel worried for Light when he was fighting in the Blacksmith arc, and Lena showed a lot of development in the Fairy Crystal arc. Most people who criticize the show only watch the first few episodes, and don't appreciate the stakes of the story, especially during the Blacksmith arc which is personally my favorite arc.

If you are looking for a Shonen-like Fantasy, then I recommend this show.

not sure how to explain this but plot was rather unique?? i didnt expect it to be that way and it was bad i was expecting atleast some adventure moments like isekai kind but all they do was "getting a problem then fix a problem for a long duration" so i can say it was slow ass progression??

look my point is its like watching a big anime that has a lot of episode (for less confusing lets use well known shounen anime as an idea) and this anime is doing the same way like "arc" or some sht for a plot and GET THIS ... THOSE ARCS ARE BAD ASF! thats all i can say for the way they handle the anime because----

at the end of the day i found out myself that my sole purpose in watching this anime is because of this BLACKSMITH GIRL!!!!

sheeessshhhhh i dont know why but ever since i watch the trailer i noticed this girl only a bit then when i watch the opening im noticing it even more so im curious on her personality and etc... so im getting desperate on her screentime then when she came out I WAS BLINDED BY ITS RADIANCE! its like throwing a flashbang grenade in my face, i was mesmerized, Other girls might be gorgeous, but she's the only one I truly adore, her personality and voice is making it worst T_T its the gap moe for me, now i feeling shy for loving this girl.

sorry ive gone off topic lets go back to actual overall of the anime,

overall mixed feelings for recommendation cause people gonna disappoint in their way of handling the plot while plot itself is bad and those who stays, bet only for female attractive characters honestly (like me) especially on last arc of season.

I'm just going to keep this short and brief. Firstly, full disclosure: I like the isekai genre. I don't care if its cookie cutter, its one of those guilty pleasures I have; I want you to understand that much about me so that when I say this anime was a big disappointment and waste of time, you know how low my standards are.

I like the over powered trope, and Light, the protagonist falls into that category at first glance. Make no mistake, he has tons of potential to be extremely OP. But he doesn't. There isn't even a good justification for why he doesn't, ... he'll only acquire a new skill if he's in a bad situation. Why? There is few things more frustrating to me than watching someone who has the ability to do incredible things...not do them. It's like that "I need to hide my true power!" trope; It's supposed to be relatable or have some sort of reasoning, but its just lazy. It's not cool watching people hide their strength and just look down on everyone else until they "reveal".

So the other option is if they aren't going to be OP, they have to put effort and work to achieve something. But that doesn't happen either with Light. In truth just about every other character is more interesting than him. As I said earlier, Light will resort to his OP skill only when he's struggling and it makes it not a struggle anymore.

The premise really could've gone somewhere, even with generic progression it might've been cool; This is just wasted potential, just like Light and his skill.
