Tokyo Mew Mew

If you like magic girls like sailor moon you may like TMM. The transformations are similar and in TMM are a character similar of tuxquedo mask 

Although the animation style is quite different there's a bunch of similarities between these two: group of girls with super powers, one of them is the leader, there's a sentence they say everytime they transform and there's an object that gives them the power to do so, the leader is in love with someone who is also part of the good ones and helps in battles, enemies come from other planet oh and of course there's some cute being (an animal in sailor moon and a robot in tokyo mew mew) that helps them in theory but usually not in battle. 

Main characters are girls. Morphing girls :D. They morph and get super powers and fight evil demons (in tmm they fight aliens, but when they take over an animal and transform isn't it the same?). They all fight with the power of Love.

By now everyone knows that Sailor Moon is considered to be a Magical Girl classic, but can you consider Tokyo Mew Mew to be a classic? Of that I am not sure, but I do know that Tokyo Mew Mew is after Sailor Moon one of the most likely "next" Magical Girl for many, filled with a lot of the known tropes. So on one side, you've Sailor Moon, which is a major series because it proved to be a game changed in regards to the genre, and then you've Tokyo Mew Mew which serves as a bridge into the genre. It may not be a series someone who is looking for the more serious series like Madoka, but it is a good series for those wanting to look at seeing where the genre has been and was going over a period of time. read more 

Both shows have similar character ideas and similar stories. 

They both are about a group of girls with magical powers and about saving the world from evil. 

Tokyo Mew Mew, or Mew Mew Power, and Sailor Moon have that same magical girl type thing, with a group of girls who transform and fight the evil aliens/people. They both deal with a cry-baby, yet strong, main protagonist and have all the same elements with the Sailor warriors in animal cosplay form. Tokyo Mew Mew however is more focus more on the life of endangered animals rather than humans and their energys, but both have the same feel 

Both are about five girls with powers..Tokyomewmew is shorter and can be watched in one sitting and enjoyed. 

Sailor Moon and Tokyo Mew Mew are both Shojo animes about cute teenage girls who gain magical powers to fight evil. They are so similar to each other, that if you liked one, I can pretty much guarantee you'll like the other. They both have five female leads, both have cute girls kicking ass, both have horrible English dubs, and they both have very similar protagonists. Ichigo Momomiya of TMM and Usagi Tsukino of SM are both sweet, bubbly, clumsy girls with huge hearts and great character development. I think they're both great, but personally, I like Sailor Moon a bit more. 

A group of "magical girls" must save the Earth from invaders. 

They are both really cool superhero manga's, and have pretty good art. Both of them can also be pretty funny at times as well as being really serious and sad. Freddy likes how they, like all his fave animes often wear short skirts.  

In both there are a group of five teenage girls with superpowers that fight evil. In both they eventually have a character themed episode to help bring insight on each character. In both they have a bad guy that evenually turns good. The main character is in love with a boy. Both shows have good morals. Both shows have similar old looking animation and sometimes makes art mistakes. 

Both are about a girl with magical powers that falls in love with a magical guy. MUST watch in Japanese. 

Tokyo Mew Mew basically has the same plot as Sailor Moon. Five girls. They fight an evil organization that is a threat to the Earth. Romance. Slice of life. Comedy. The only difference is that the Mew Mews are animal girls, not sailors. But anyway, Sailor Moon fans will enjoy this childish version. It is also relatively short, 52 episodes. A good magical girl series for people who just started watching anime. 

Both series involve a group of female characters that transform into superheroes, one of which is infatuated with a male character. 

these two anime's are very similar. both have a group of girls who join together to keep the city safe from an evil force. Tokyo Mew Mew is a lot shorter in comparison though. But both are worth watching. 

Both have 5 girls as main characters, in both animes, the girls try to protect the world from evil forces, and both have cute transformations. 

Both are about 5 magical girls. In both series the main heroine and her friends must fight various enemies in order to maintain peace on the earth. There is a very strong love story. 

Both have senshi, very similar transformations and attacks 

Its just another Magical Girl show with 5 female protagonists, 1 male protagonist that the main character has a crush on, a pet/alien that helps the magical girl team fight monsters, blah,blah,blah,something about pieces of something they must collect just like in sailor moon, blah,blah,blah, Tokyo Mew Mew is just an anime that likes to steal Sailor Moons plot points and ideas :p it is however a preety good show on its own if you can see past the blatant copy pasting from other similar shows. 

Although there have consequently been innumerable recommendations between the two series, I want to further introduce Tokyo Mew Mew to Sailor Moon fans. Both series have a similar plot; 5 girls receive magical powers and are required to save the world (Nothing different from a standard precure series), but in my honest opinion, the similarities end there. Both have different themes present throughout their respective story (Tokyo Mew Mew talks about saving the Earth in the sense of decreasing natural habitat loss, logging, and preservation of endangered series from alien-like entities, whereas Sailor Moon sets out to save the Earth from entities trying to destroy them). I highly recommend this short series for Sailor Moon fans. read more 

My first reccomendation.. Both shows have a main female heroine with pink hair. The main girl has a crush in the beginning, but then they both start to fall for the enemy. In both shows they run around try to save stuff. Both shows have character transformations that take long periods of time. Only real difference is I think Shugo Chara is drawn better and aimed for viewers a few years older than Tokyo Mew Mew. 

Magic, a little alike heroine, more complicated when it goes to love story, both very nice 

It´s very similair to the story. The cute oufits and magic powers are very similair to Tokyo Mew Mew. Also about destroying your inner bad person is also something that is very common i Tokyo Mew Mew! 

Both are magical girl animes, the colors of the outfits of the girls are almost the same, the main characters (Amu and Ichigo) are both pink-haired girls, and both have a lot of boys who are loving them... There are a lot of other similarities...

They have both that shoujo magic-girl thingy, and the bad guys both like teasing the main girl. And are both awesome. 

1. The main characters looks similar 2. Anime is also Mahou shoujo and comedy I think that Tokyo mew mew and Shugo chara is VERY similar, you'll see. But personaly I prefer Shugo chara, because I find the plot more interesting and art is better. Especially I like the relationship between Amu and Ikuto. 

Both animes are kiddy. They are both girl-power and are really good!!!!!  

Tokyo Mew Mew has super powers, just like Shugo Chara. Although TMM doesn't have guardian characters they have power pendants. They both have alot of romance. I would say that shugo chara is newer. They both have over the standard 25/26 episodes. Both plots aim in protecting the people around them. They both have that loveable character who enjoys teasing the main character. They are quite alike, i loved them both 

Both are magical girl anime and revolve around a 'special' main character. Although there are a lot of filler episodes, they are both extremely enjoyable and funny, and over time friendships and relationships are built up. 

both stories are magical girl themed as well as also being pretty adorable and also pink hair mcs as well too. 

they are both in the genre of mahou shoujo*magical girl* their alike in like a million different ways so if you like mermaid melody:pichi pichi pitch you will like tokyo mew mew ^^ 

Shoujo anime of 52 episodes with magical girls - be it mermaids or animals. Same vibe, for the colorful costumes and hair, character tropes, comedy style and bishie-type romantic interests (or villains). 

As in the mermaid legend story there are a group of girls who have power and transform to fight evil. They all have their own specific power or color or position in the group. Also involves a love story between the main character and boyfriend who always is there to help or gets in trouble. The main bad guy and the boyfriend are mysteriously related in some way. The boyfriend has secret powers as well. Saving the world is the whole plot. 

Both are typical "girly" animes with the middle school romance thing to it and both of them have the really soft core fighting theme. The animation in both are also pretty similar. 

They are both Magic-girl animes. 

-Both involve girls changing into there "super" forms and fighting evil. In TokyoMew the girls "super" forms involve whatever animal they can attributes from. In MerMel the "super" forms are mermaids. -Both have LOTS of cheese and a lot if it is found in the attacks and how the evil is defeated -Both of the main girls have love complications but unlike Tokyo Mew Mew the complications in MerMel continue in to the next series Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch Pure(which wasn't that good compared to the first one) luckily the complications are with the same guy, bad/funny/entertaining news: the main girl has to seduce him all over again because he has no idea who she is. -Both are littler kids shows but its good for a laugh for those of us over the age of 10 read more 

Similar idea, magic girl, similar characters. Characters in both animes transform (To mermaid in Mermaid Melody, to various animals in Tokyo Mew Mew). Both have the whole hero-villain thing that the younger audience of anime could enjoy for it's not at all bloody... The villains in both animes start off as not too much of a threat, and slowly get more serious. Both animes have characters with some sort of power. Both of the main males in the series.. well, I won't give it away. Just very similar animes.  

Both are magical girl anime that you probably know if you grew up around 2002-2003. The characters are similar, with a pink main character who is in love with a handsome boy. Both also involve comedy/slice of life, plus dealing with a double-life as a superhero. They are both cute and funny, and very enjoyable! 

Both are based around transforming into creature type magical girls also quite romance related as well too and very cute too. 

Girls are secretly superheroes and are in love with an emotionally unavailable guy.

It features girls with animals and sweets, just like Tokyo Mew Mew. Some of the characters are even the same. Cure Macaron ~ Zakuro (Both Models/Purple) Cure Whip ~ Ichigo (Both pink, energetic, kind of clutzy) Cure Custard ~ Pudding (Both are cute, yellow themed) And Kira Kira Precure a la mode fans: Check out Tokyo Mew Mew. OHMYGOSH! This are the very first thing that came across my mind when I watch this. Both anime are in the magical girl realm which involves 5 members in somewhat different ages who transformed into magical girl. Both are sweets/food related. All cures/mews are connected into a certain sweets. Like in their names, birth name and transformed alter ego. Both are animal related. Each cures/mews are 'fused' with an animal when they transformed and have that animal figure / traits. Though different in each series. Both 5 main girls work in a cafe (I think they do in kirakira). The similarity between Tokyo Mew Mew and Kira Kira Precure A la Mode is very similair. Both series are mahou shoujo anime aimed for little girls. You better have some cash with you because both anime have a café/sweet shop of some sort, while cute girls in cute maid outfits serve you every now and then (while also trying to make the world a better place). For the animal lovers out there; there's also an animal theme going on in both series. 

They have same concept. They using "Animals" as formula They also using "Food" as main theme 

- Both feature a team of part-animal magical girls - Both have a pink leader - Both have romance as a core sub-element - Both feature all of the main characters working at a store to hide their secret base (a cafe and a patisserie respectively) - Both have male supporting characters  

Moth are girl's animes based around people being given powers they don't want right at the start of the series'. They both have to find allies to help defeat/collect various people/things. Both are very cute animes. 

Both are about a girl with magical powers that falls in love with a guy with magical powers too. 

Both series revolves around the magical girl theme where the main female protagonist gains powers after a certain event. Both series has comedy, drama, supernatural elements, action, and later romance. Both series has characters of various personalities in a more linear story plot with intertwined arc/stories in between. Both series are considered a classic. 

They are both cute magical girl type of stories. I feel like they are aimed at the same kind of audience. The art style and charters are both very 'cutesy'.  

Magic girls doin cute shit and saving the day 

Similar teams of five magical girls with two pretty boys supporting them. 

It's actually hilarious how similar these things are. First of all, same colors for the girls (purple character comes later but whatever yk), and then they both say "Metamorphose!" to transform, and then there's Mint (Tokyo Mew Mew) and Cure Mint (Yes! Precure 5). But wait! There's more! The characters that share their colors basically share the same personality and there's two guys who run the whole thing. There's also a lot of fighting scenes. 

Both of them are anime with Magical Girls. Both series fight for justice. The transformation and lines are the same and unique. Metamorphose! The Yes! Precure 5 is the most similar Precure series to Tokyo Mew Mew. 

Very similar in the aspect that both contain magical girls trying to save the world. Also similar as both have a romantic aspect thrown into the mix.. teenage high school girls thrown into a situation they at first don't want to be in/ are afraid of. 

These two are similar because they both have... People with special powers They both have a duty to save the world The main characters need to find the other heroes to help them There is at least one hot guy in each anime ( XDDD) And there is romance Hope you liked it!! Bye Bye!! 

Both of these shows are classic magical girl shows. These both were some of my first anime and I love them! I would recommend sailor moon more than tokyo mew mew though. 

Both main character is a girl that had a power and used them to destroy evil. 

It has transformations, romance, and an evil being trying to destroy the Earth and kill all the humans. 

These two shows are both based around being gifted with a extra-ordinary power, In Precure (Prettycure) the two mc's have special cellphones that contain a character that allows them to transform. In Tokyo mew mew, they have power pendents which allows them to transform. They both fight against evil. In Prettycure they fight against the "Dark Zone"s minion whereas in Tokyo Mew Mew they fight against Deep Blue's Minions. In both there is a hint of romance, more in Tokyo Mew Mew compared to Prettycure. In both they gain new powers/members which make them stronger. 

After watching an episode of mew mew power, it would air pretty cure. Both shows are great in it's own way. 

Now how are these anime similar? - Takuto and Meroko have, just like the main characters in Tokyo Mew Mew, magical powers with some sort of animal theme. - Both series have a romantic relationship developing along the way. - These series will give you the same kind of feelings. Mitsuki's character is similar to Ichigo's. - FMwS is a bit darker than TMM. Mitsuki is sick, which has some consequences in her life. Ichigo does enter dangerous situations but isn't limited because of any sort of health issue. Chances are pretty big that if you like one, you'll like the other one as well. 

Both focus around a magical girl dual identity concept, and also both series have a character, that’s also involved in the entertainment industry as well to note and both also have lots of friendship and romance related elements in it as well too. 

both are really cute animes and a must-see for all magical girls fans =) 

a clumsy "normal student" girl gets a "super-power" for casuality and lucky (maybe). She should learn to use it, found her mates, and rescue everyone. The super-Power-mates are friends of the main girl, and the team works in a cute and very Girly place, that place is "the secret base" of her -another- work. Heroine in both series are funny, noisy, and very pink. (similarities in the body are notable too), in the magic-partners are the same thing. Ojamajo DoReMi give more attention to the friendship and family, in tokyo mew mew is more love relationships, and team work. 

Mahou shoujo working at maid cafe as their base, a Clumsy pink girl, and a colorful friends. Maybe Doremi is easy to watch for a little girl, Tokyo mew mew feels more like a teenager drama. But both enjoyable at any age for sure.

Both have magicals power. Both are a team of 5 againt a team of 3. Both have a relate to food (in Tokyo Mew Mew, original names are names of food, like "Ichigo" which means "Strawberry".) In Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu LOVE !, Magical name are food too like "Epinard" which means "Spinach". Both speak about love. 

Hanayamata and Tokyo Mew Mew are two anime made with the involvement of industry veteran Reiko Yoshida, as she wrote the script for the former and actually co-created the source material for the latter. The main characters of both shows are five girls with varying personalities and hair colors, who are brought together by the show's main subject (yosakoi for former, sci-fi themed magical girls for latter). Tokyo Mew Mew has some fantasy elements, but both shows kinda have similar appeal. 

While Maid-Sama doesn't have magical, fighting girls like Tokyo Mew Mew, both of the main characters work at a cafe and have a love interest that gets to them throughout the anime. Both are also rather girly, have some cute characters, and have some comedy.  

If you are charmed by MKR girls, you'll like Tokyo Mew Mew's cute heroines. 

Both are cute, colorful mahou shoujo shows with 5 main protagonists and a cute stuffed animal-type thing. However, Smile Precure is about fairy tales and magic while Tokyo Mew Mew is about aliens and has an environmental undertone.
