Naruto and Bleach both synomonous with  action animes. when you hear bleach the next anime that you would think of would be naruto... if you like it that is. they both are epic anime with outstanding character devlopement and plots so intricate you might would who were the brillant minds to think of this (I did anyway...) also there is some comic relief, a little bit of romance, and tons of serious parts too. and they're great for anyone

Both have awesome characters and fights, and even humor sprinkled throughout. If you enjoy Naruto or Naruto Shippuuden there should be no reason you cant also enjoy Bleach.

Very similar in format, though different stylistically -- Naruto is set in 'past times' where Bleach is set in 'modern times' Both feature a strong cast of lead characters with seemingly limitless (possibly dangerous) potential.

Differences to be seen are Naruto's goals are clearly defined. 
1. To become Hokage (to protect the village)
2. Protect his friends. 
(Overall theme of Protecting people, his 'evil aspect' seems to be kept seperate from himself character until it consumes him.)
Where Ichigo's goals are not so clear, 
1.Protect his friends. 
2. Ichigo however seems to have a hidden side that constantly strives to become stronger regardless of his friends being in danger. (As in, he seems to go out of his way to face danger.)
(Ichigo's 'evil aspect' seems to be an integrated part of himself unlike Naruto's)

Regardless, both series are very strong by themselves and both are sometimes drawn out by Filler Arcs. (Which are generally still good by themselves, but they make you wait to see continuity which makes them seem unbearable.) 

If you like Naruto I strongly recommend Bleach and Visa versa. -- Hell I'd recommend Bleach even if you didn't like Naruto. read more

The genres are quite alike, and they are universes where fighting is necessary for survival. Where Naruto is more about emotions and the craft of a fictive universe, Bleach presents more extreme fighting scenes with a stench of Dragon Ball in it. Both are great animes. They also both are ongoing long anime series.

Both are "mainstream" animes, popular not just in North America, but worldwide. They're both shounen anime, so you can expect a lot of action and fighting. If you like one series, there shouldn't be any reason for you to hate the other. What matters in shounen series are the quality of the action and fight scenes, and both provide lots with seemingly no end to be seen.

Both are very popular shounen which almost everyone has seen. The difference is just that Bleach is about death gods when Naruto is about ninjas.

I feel like these are similar animes because besides being a long series, Naruto and Ichigo both try to work for the common good in vanquishing the evil antagonists that come their way while fighting for their friends. I know, this theme is practically the same for almost any anime but when I watch these two, I feel like they have a similarity aura. Not to mention they both have awesome epic fights! >:D

Both shows being considered the stereotypical anime that's all newbies tend to get drawn to early on, both of the shows have similar protagonists, young males who as the series develops grows stronger, gains friends, and is entrusted with more responsibility. Also both of the shows follow very similar story lines with a prologue to a big battle where the enemy is introduced with episodes leading up to the big fight with filler episodes in between. People new to the anim scene should check out these anime.

Both are action orientated, with you normal good vs evil set up, both protagonists are very similar all that really separates them is their hair color and their homosexual attachment to a certain Uchiha.

The main characters have the same "fight to protect" mentality and "special modes"(hollow and the kyuubi). Both feature vast universes and characters. The authors put in a bit of romance(esp. live triangles) but didn't delve to deep so it doesn't get too cheesy.

Let's start by comparing the story, both have similar shounen elements of that fighting spirit; Bleach = spiritual energy and Naruto = chakra. The Story's main protagonist seeks to become stronger after each encounter to protect their families (although in the beginning Naruto's motive is to not be seen as an outcast) The development of the protagonist is conveyed in a simple formula of finding that inner strength to overcome their opponent (speaking which both suffer inner demons to which they must also struggle against and control to unleash their full potential), however this simple formula is made entertaining by the interactions with a long list of supporting characters and the choreography of the fight scenes.

The OST is probably the most outstanding feature of both Naruto and Bleach. They both evoke this primal instinct to fight and be poised for a fight (also evident through their extensive training regimes). It's heart pounding and raises the tension/excitement factor to set the scene for some epic shounen battles. The fight/battle scenes are generally dragged out to showcase both the parties moves and special abilities but also act as its foundation to the plot. (i.e. introducing new abilities, developing new abilities or creating plot points)

The animation is solid throughout both shows, especially considering both shows' length. It certainly will not be a deterrent. However, one point to note is the amount of fillers may be an issue for a lot of viewers, to overcome this issue, I recommend seeking some great filler guides on the internet to watch the show in its canon form especially if the filler is not to your liking.   read more

Naruto is an action shounen fighting anime which is most likely to be favourites for the majority of anime lovers.Like Bleach which is very similar to Naruto but Bleach has more fighting and action moments than Naruto.If you like action and fighting anime like Naruto then Bleach is the perfect anime for you

Although bleach as less death, both of these animes are good. Bleach as good fighting scene with some overpowered ennemies. In both anime, the main characters has to increase his powers and abilities to beat his ennemies and they are often in bad situations risking their lives for the sake of the people they care about. Just like I said before, the fighting scenes are damn good, but you'll have to make some research about the main episodes/arcs if you don't want to see alot of fillers. In my opinion this is the only bad thing about these animes.

Great power with in both Ichigo and Naruto, but both are blockheads with little skill at the start so they have to uncover there power through strife. Great watching the uncontrolled power go to work.

Both are long-running TV series that are a culmination of all genres possible, both are based on our main character who fights of evil with his friends. If you are looking for an anime with a long storyline and well-developed side characters, these two are just the anime for you. Everything is connected and part of a bigger conspiracy which is slowly revealed. Bleach's fillers are much better than Naruto's whereas Naruto's plot is a lot better than Bleach's

Both are shounen, so both have the character tropes and concepts that all shounen anime have, which are pretty good imo.
From lots of fights and cool abilities and skills to epic OST and plottwists - both have it all.
Very easy to get invested you can just relax, lay back and enjoy the good ol' shounen era style anime.

bleach is a old anime from 2004 and in spite of being a old anime it had a great power system and you will love all the characters. Most of the characters are badass in these series. It is similar to naruto shippuden because you will see some great fight scenes and a great mastermind villain. The problem is that the 50% of the series is full of fillers.

From the big three anime – One Piece, Bleach, and Naruto – the ninja series shares the most similarities with Black Clover. This should not really come as much of a surprise since Studio Pierrot handled Naruto and Naruto: Shippuuden. In most ways, Black Clover is the studio’s attempt to recreate the magic of their most popular series. This is particularly apparent in the story’s pacing, as both series allow ample time for the characters to goof off, with a heavy employment of flashbacks to develop their backstories.

At this point, Naruto barely needs any introduction, but we might-as-well mention a thing or two about the anime. Naruto is a social outcast, who aspires to reach the status of Hokage in his village. This is similar to the Wizard King status in Black Clover, with Naruto and Asta originally ridiculed for their unwillingness to accept their own shortcomings. Both protagonists are hyperactive, kind of dumb, and never know when to give up.

Sasuke Uchiha serves as Naruto’s Yuno -including their similar character designs-, who is a perfect shinobi and Naruto’s direct opposite. Both anime split their time between action and over-the-top comedy, although Naruto probably does a better job with the latter. read more

Both their Main Characters are rejected by others , untalented , orphans , have some kind of demonic power also have a very talented {genius} rival and I feel like they have similar stories because both MCs want to reach the hightest rank of their kingdom/village and never stop talking about it untill it gets annoying Also both are good at GUIDANCE no jutsu LMAO .

Asta being Naruto, Yuno being Sasuke, and Noelle resembling sakura, The story-line is enjoyable and there's a lot of action. There's a lot more to the story than it seems, so it keeps me watching and wanting more:))

A shonen fan should love it. Like Asta, you will see the journey of how naruto grows in power as well as a kid to a young adult. you will be emotionally involved in naruto as you did with black clover.

The main characters of both the series have a lot in common. I would say they are 95% same in their characteristics and personality. Naruto is an orphan which is same as Asta. Also they both have the will to never give up and share a common goal of becoming the most powerful guy in their village or kingdom in their respective series. There resides a demon in Naruto who makes him special. Similarly, Asta ia also a special one as there resides a demon in his sword(anti-magic sword) which he uses. Both are really dumb in the beginning of their respective series and also powerless useless people but both work hard to achieve their goals. Never giving up is Naruto's ninja way whereas never giving up is Asta's magic. Last but not least they both have some girl who really loves them and has a certain kind of respect and strive to become like them and fight alongside them. Both the series are really good and I would strongly recommend black clover if you love Naruto.  read more

They are similar because both anime are fantasy-themed, both protagonists are orphans and are rejected by society. 
they are both really good anime with a really good story and I would recommend watching it.
Black Clover may seem bad at first however it does get better as the story progresses.

Naruto and Black Clover are two very similar shows, in Naruto, the mc is trying to become the leader of his village (Hokage) while in Black Clover Asta is trying to become the Wizard King in his Kingdom. 

And they have to fight hella people in order to do so, both are in squads, and are very loud/likeable, both are also demon possessed and are outcasts

The motivation of the both main character is same and the action in both are on next level and both created by the same studio.

Naruto and Asta are very similar characters. They both have that really strong "never give up" attitude and both are obnoxious, cheerful people. They both go from being really weak and getting bullied to being really powerful fighters. Both are the "chosen ones." Both shows have that "harem" aspect where multiple girls fight over the main character, but the main is too dense to notice. Both shows also focus on the whole "power of friendship" idea. Both shows are fighting wars against neighboring nations. Basically, they're the same thing lol.

Both MCs are positive, motivated, never-giving up types that are striving towards the highest goal possible despite being weak/feared.

Instead of jutsu, Black Clover characters have magic that grants them similar fighting strategies and tactics.

At the beginning of their journey, both characters have to pass an exam that will allow them to continue using their abilites in order to acheive their goals as well as helping others.

Naruto and Black Clover exhibit the same level of romance, which is basically implications and nothing more.

This is perfect for those looking for an anime with multiple arcs, great fighting scenes, MCs with the motto of never-giving up, and well-written character development.

Both of the anime series have a character that isn't the brightest of the bunch as the lead, and they both feature similar themes of being friends with each other, and rescuing one another from harm. Another very similar trait that they share is dreams, while Naruto wants to become the Hokage and Sasuke wants to become powerful enough to defeat Itachi, Luffy wants to become the Pirate King, and members of his crew share amibitions. One Piece is a must-see and by far one of the best shonen anime out there.

In both anime, main characters have similar ways of doing things. These ways are : pushing it to the end, never giving up or losing determination,  having a dream to achieve that everyone else laughs or hardly believes. Another similarity about them is a strange charm makes other people know them, respect them or even follow them

Both have a main character that gets stronger throughout the story. Both main characters are sort of idiots. Both main characters fight to protect their comrades. There is a lot of comedy, and the fighting scenes revolve around honor and doing the right thing.

One piece is about pirates, and Naruto is about ninjas. Shippuuden is the continuation of the series Naruto, and it takes place after a 2-3 year time skip. One piece also has a time skip but way later in the series. One Piece wasn't split into a second series like Naruto. 

They are both extremely long running, and they are both "gateway" anime. If you love one, then you typically will love the other one in my experience.

Both are unique in a lot of ways, and both are heavily inspired by Dragon Ball. read more

Do you wish that the characters in Naruto could be better fleshed out and more interesting? Are the fights not varied enough for you? If so you'll love One Piece. There are nine main characters that have each been fully fleshed out and have unique and powerful backstories. Every fight is unique because of the existence of devil fruits which grant the user rare powers that only they posses. You will fall in love with the characters. I have yet to run into a boring episode and there are over 560 episodes now. Just make sure to skip a few fillers but thats all pretty standard for a Shounen Anime. I like this show better than Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Give it a shot; you'll come to love the cartoony art style. The storyline is excellent. read more

 I started watching one piece not so long ago, and as soon as I saw the first episode it reminded me so much of Naruto Shippuuden. Both main characters are special. They are funny, strong, and go after for what they believe in. The series intrigues you to keep watching more episodes. Some episodes will make you get a tissue and some will make you stop breathing of laughter. Now, lets talk about action! These fighting scenes and supernatural powers such as devil fruit or just nine tails make the fighting scenes so interesting. Both series involve the bonds of friendship, with One Piece involving the relationships between the Strawhat crew while Naruto involving the bonds between the different ninjas of the Hidden Leaf village.
Both have a vast amount of characters that have interesting and unique backgrounds and different environments for the characters to explore.
Both main characters (Luffy and Naruto) are extremely similar as they have the ambition to protect their friends. Also, both protagonists have the ambition to rise to the very top with Luffy desiring to become the Pirate King and Naruto desiring to become the Hokage.

They are both shounen anime. They have similar main protagonists who both have a dream luffy to be pirate king and naruto to be hokage. They are long on going series with many fans within the anime community, i mean seriously every person who has either watched naruto or one piece at least knows of the others existence. They are heavily influenced from DBZ as protagonists both share similar traits with goku. All in all, if you liked naruto then you will most likely like one piece.

Both have stupid main characters which grows more mature during the series. Both main protagonist have a ridiculous dream which is very unlikely to achieve. Both series have a two year time skip where the main protagonist goes of training with there mentor's in Luffy's case it's Rayleigh and in Naruto's case it's Jiraiya. Both anime are action shounen.

I will say One piece and Naruto have bunch of common things. Why not, they both are the member of BIG 3. 
One piece is a story where a pirate Monkey D Luffy wants to become Pirate King
Naruto is an anime where a ninja Naruto wants to become Hokage.

The story building, character development, world expanding everything is totally top-notch. Both of this anime is totally freaking good.

I will personally say One piece is better than Naruto though an unsolved quarrel goes-"One piece VS Naruto"

If you like shounen anime with likeable characters, frequent power ups, and great fights, this is the show for you.

Why I recommend HxH: 
- Every aspect of chakra (Nen for HxH) is explained. How they gather it, focus it, use it; the general mechanics of their powers is explained in detail for both anime - and this is something to be appreciated.

- Most fights are well choreographed. The MC in HxH is generally far more tactical than Naruto, so the fights in HxH in general are more tactical in nature -- especially the big fights.

Note: Hunter x Hunter does start off slow. Their powers don't begin to arise for quite some time, however stick with it and you'll enjoy it. I highly recommend this anime. read more

There is a kid who's whole clan was killed and he's corrupted by revenge. It also happens that his clan had special eyes.

Although the story lines are not close to similar, both have great adventures and follow a protagonist as he develops into a strong and reliable person.

Along with the similarities listed in the previous recommendations. I found it fascinating how both animes have different types of they could specialize in with their power. For Naruto it's an element/elements while Hunter x Hunter is nen types, and each character has a natural affinity to a certain type. The way they test for a character's affinity is pretty similar too. Naruto uses special paper that changes properties when chakra is poured into it, while Hunter x Hunter uses leaf divination, where the cup of water with a floating leaf changes properties when nen is focused on it. 

When the characters develop skills specific to their type, they become stronger and their battles are funner to watch. Of course, the journey to getting there is also exciting. read more

It's the same concept, but better! (my personal opinion). I love Naruto and it was my favorite until I found Hunter x Hunter.

Very short about the anime: It's about a boy, named Gon, who wants to be a Hunter (as his father was). He wants to find out why his father chose to be a Hunter. He meets a lot of people on his way.

He meets dangerous tasks, as Naruto does, and he wants to save his friends, as Naruto does. So therefore I find it similar. I think if you enjoy Naruto, you'll enjoy Hunter x Hunter.

Tip: less fillers (only two), and keeps to the story. read more

both have a main character who is stubborn and never gives up they want to protect their friends have their own  dreams Naruto to become a hokage like his father was and Gon to become a hunter and find his father both anime have characters that want revenge sasuke because his clan was killed and kurapika for the same reason both clans where killed because of their special eyes kurapika's clan  because they have the scarlet eyes and sasuke's because of the sheringan both series also have amazing fighting scenes and the logic of the powers chakra and nen are quite similiar

Hunter x Hunter is pretty much what Naruto COULD have been, and personally, I'm surprised it doesn't get more recognition. It could easily replace Naruto as one of the Big Three. So, if you're disappointed in Kishi for wasting his potential like I am, here are a few good reasons to turn to HxH.

- Characters: HxH has a large cast of memorable characters that feel more fleshed out. One of Naruto's strong points was the secondary cast, which was tragically underdeveloped, but HxH makes up for that by having an interesting main cast AND secondary cast. Here's a "quick" comparison of some of the characters.

- Killua respects Gon as a comrade and an equal and values his friendship, and they also value each other's thoughts and ideas without judgement. Naruto and Sasuke bicker almost constantly, and Sasuke laughs in his face when he offers his help. Gon and Killua's friendship more or less forms the emotional core of the story, and unlike with Naruto and Sasuke, it does a good job.

- On Kurapika's mission for revenge, he refuses his friends' help because he doesn't want to put them in danger. Sasuke believes he doesn't need friends at all. I'm not really knocking Sasuke's character for this, but I still don't like it.

- The Phantom Troupe could be compared to the Akatsuki in a few ways without saying either one is superior. Most notably, the Troupe works as a collective and sticks together, even mourning their dead comrades, while everyone in the Akatsuki has their own hidden agenda but is more or less forced to work together by circumstance. 

Combat: Battle is the core of most shonen anime, and HxH's combat is concise, fast-paced, and based on real strategy as opposed to Sharingan asspulls. In place of chakra, HxH has nen, which creates almost endless possibilities for special powers and really works well.

Story: Gon's goal of meeting his father is much simpler than becoming Hokage, but the journey that eventually leads him there is an interesting one. It is divided into six arcs, each having a unique flavor while still meshing well together. Particularly, the exam arc at the beginning is about half as long as the Chuunin Exams and feels very challenging. The Chimera Ant arc in particular is an emotional rollercoaster and definitely the high point of the series. At 61 episodes, it's the longest arc, but doesn't suffer fatigue unlike the war arc in Naruto

I would last like to talk about how HxH deals with its villains. You're not expected to sympathize with them most of the time, but they don't feel generic or one-dimensional. When it does make its villains sympathetic, it does it through their character development. Naruto likes to trick you into thinking its villains are sympathetic by giving you a Tragic Backstory after all the time it spent making them out to be generic bad guys. However, villains in HxH, especially Meruem in the CA arc, become more sympathetic through their development. I won't spoil anything else, but it does it well. If you're in need of a long shonen series that's also GOOD, then please give this series a try.  read more

Both are shounen anime series but I find Hunter x Hunter as an "upgraded version" of Naruto. The writing is more clean and complex, it has less fillers, it has better pacing and the animation is just top-notch.

The similarities between these two Animes are truly evident. Basically the motivations of the protagonist and also the world around him is the same in both Animes.

It's a shonen anime that follows Gon and his friends, however it is not your average shonen. It flows from each arc as smooth as butter and the story's while slow at times are absolutely worth the watch. Highly recommend

MC's parents are not present in the early parts.
MC later finds out that his father is a world-renowned hunter (Hunter x Hunter) // his father is the 4th Hokage that he looks up to (Naruto).
Has a power system like chakra but more creative and complex.

Even experienced viewers might not know, however, that Naruto has actually drawn inspiration from Hunter x Hunter. The creators of both series, Masashi Kishimoto and Yoshihiro Togashi, are close friends and have been known to share ideas, leading to similarities between their works.

When I first started to watch fairy tail it reminded me so much of both naruto and naruto: shippuden, the coolest thing about about is that every character resembled a character off of naruto, for example nastu would be naruto, gray would sasuke, Lucy would be sakura and so on, and they both hold a lot of susppense so if you like fairy tail you are definatly going to like naruto

Both are shounen animes, but if your looking for something filled with great story, morals, action, comedy, and drama. Then this is for you! I think everybody knows really well that the first couple of episodes aren't that great, but if you can get past that and work your way up- you'll definitely see what I mean. Ever since that rough-start this series has never had once a moment to utterly fail at impressing me.

Both are very standard plots and characters, relating to one another such as
Naruto - Natsu (even names begin with N lol)
Sakura - Erza
Sasuke - Gray (not entirely)

Although the plot differentiates but with certain similarities i.e main character trying to save/bring back a friend (Natsu/Igneel) and (Naruto/Sasuke). The atmosphere is the same with  the light hearted comedy and the action. Every episode is enjoyable and if you liked one of them, you will like the other.

The main characters Naruto and Natsu are very similar, in any points which is what makes both people are absolutely amazing. In both series, they are fighting for their friends and done qustes together.

If you enjoyed Fairy Tail you will sure love Naruto. Both have a strong main character that never gives up and has his goal in mind all the time . For the romance lovers I am sorry but there is not much love in this series, even tho there are a few sparks here and there its nothing that develops in a real relationship.

This anime has also the same concept as Naruto. I watched this anime before I found Naruto though. It's a lot more humor in this anime, and the fillers "keeps to the story", as I find Naruto doesn't sometimes. Instead of fillers thrown around even now an then, it is filler-arcs, and they're worth watching.
As Naruto the main characters in this anime is fighting for a better world and to save their friends. I enjoyed this anime! And guess what? They finally continued on the story, Fairy Tail (2014). Took some time though :)

I am recommending this anime because it is my favorite of favorites.

I've enjoyed this anime since the beginning: I use to feel like Naruto as a child and I've really just grown up with him and explored my true passions along with him. He's kinda been the tour guide of my life and thus the reason why I'm so utterly hopeless. Yes. I admit it.

It has powers in it. The emotions are close but Narutos is more strong still Fairy Tail is a little close. But I think that Fairy tail 1  season is the closest but Fairy Tail season 2 and escaptially 3 was not too good.

both have a similar power logic and use, the chacra resembles the cursed energy, the genjutsus resembles the domain expansion, the shikkigami summoning resembles the naruto summoning animals, etc
the difference is that naruto can have a slow and convoluted story full of fillers, whereas jujutsu is more interesting and engaging

Both anime have a main character with some inside unknown power. The main character is in a team with a very capable sensei, (white hair is the best), training to become more powerful and skilled with his abilities to protect his friends. I could observe some similarities regarding Jujutsu Kaisen's jutsus  They need some hand sings to perform and many of them are similar (Summoning Jutsu, Hand-to-hand combat, cursed energy release vs chakra release)

This should be an obvious recommendation, after all, Jujustu Kaisen, although I like it much more than Naruto, is essentially a copy & paste of the former. Regardless, the animation in Jujustu is stunning, the power system is interesting, and the fight scenes are impeccable. Personally, battle shounen is one of lesser liked genres, yet I still find this show entertaining and enjoyable to watch.

JJK is like a mixture of Naruto and Bleach. It has the best of both Anime and more! The animation is sooo good and the story has everything! Action, shounen, Drama, Comedy (and even some kind of sports) are in this show. And this was only the first season. If you like the style of Naruto and Bleach, then you will also like Jujutsu Kaisen!

jujutsu kaisen is a great series you should watch and if you are a pro binge watcher than you can watch this series in one day because it only has 24 episodes. It was the best anime of the year according to fans. This is similar to naruto shippuuden because just like it the mc has a secret power inside which helps him and he is too raised by his grandfather

Both are set in a parallel world with fictional countries. Both deal with politics, war, revenge, immortal beings and supernatural powers. The main characters: Edward and Naruto have some similarities in personality and suffering.  The main character goals develop from personal goals to public ones and from protecting those who they love to saving the world. Both can make you laugh a lot and cry a lot, really full of emotions, they have many great characters, great story, strong plot, epic action, touching emotions, great relations and perfect OST.

Both are shounen anime, so i would say that both the MC have that same shounen-MC-personality. Not only the MC, but several characters share the same personality. Naruto and Edward, Jiraiya and Curtis, Greed and Sasuke, Scar and Gaara, and many more. Also, both have the same kind of ending/final battle.

Like Naruto, FMA: Brotherhood has a huge lineup of diverse characters whom you will love and look forward to in every episode. Much like ninjutsu used by shinobis, the power used by alchemists in this series will remind you of summoning techniques. Another similarity worth mentioning is that Naruto somehow represents Edward; they both have a unique motivational drive to succeed despite all the boundaries they have to face. If you like Dragon Ball Z you'll love Naruto Shippuden. These are both the second part of amazing series. There both more high action to their original and go into further depth with the characters and story. The one part I like about Naruto Shippuden over DBZ is that the main character, even though may not get as much screen time, has a tremendously better backround and character development.

Both anime are sequels of other anime ( dragon ball and naruto ) in which the characters were children and now they have grown up. Moreover are action anime and have amazing action scenes and clever plot.

First of all if you enjoy the Shonen genre in general you'll most likely be compatible with the Naruto Shippuden series.
Aside from that here's the similarities of the protagonist in both shows:
1.) Work hard for their goals e.g: becoming stronger
2.) Eat food, and I mean a lot of food.
3.) They both have there long running rival shown early on in the series. I'll let you notice the similarities yourself. 
To understand "Naruto Shippuden" I'll advise you to watch "Naruto" the original series, much like "Dragonball" is to "Dragonball Z."
      So to quickly conclude if you want to relive you childhood's adrenaline, edge of seat, fist pumping action then run down to your nearest DVD store and pick up a copy.

Nabari no Ou addpermalink

Nabari no Ou is slightly more grown up and a modern 'way of the ninja' then Naruto. Both the main protagonist look alike, but Rokujo is more carefree and unknown about the whole situation he is in. 

About Naburi no Ou: His English teacher and several students from the school protect him and theirselves from several enemies including ninja villages.
Scenery and animations have a more down-to-earth look and give a realistic feeling in some extend. Definatly worth a try, even if it's just for a few episodes. To get a feeling of 'Ohhh, there is more then just a ninja named Naruto in an anime named Naruto.'
About Naruto Shippuuden: Naruto continuous his search for *spoiler* and yet runs into alot of bumps on the road. While the manga is alot further ahead then the anime, the anime is in a filler arc. read more

Nabari no Ou is for....more "grown-up" viewers who possibly liked Naruto.

Both Naruto and Nabari no Ou feature ninjas using "jutsu" (ninja techniques).  Nabari no Ou has a more modern feel to it than Naruto (one of the ninja characters uses a gun as his main weapon).  This series is MUCH shorter than Naruto, but Naruto fans will most likely enjoy this anime a lot.

Both the main characters Naruto and Miharu have an extraordinary power inside them that they can't yet control. Similar set up in the fact that there are 5 main Hidden Villages each having their own Forbidden Technique. Another similarity is the fact that each village uses different techniques based off of the elements.  The major difference however is that Nabari no Ou is set in a more modern period.

If you enjoy the action in Naruto then I believe this anime is a good way to vent out between episodes. It's basically the same thing only the main character couldn't care less about the world around him ( unlike Naruto ) and instead of a 9 tailed fox, he has a scroll with all of shinobi knowledge on it. Great anime, with an unfortunate, yet profound ending.

Both are essentially the same plot on one series takes place in a world of ninjas and the other series takes place in a world of super heroes and villains. The idea that they are going to become the top ninja or superhero. Also big casts are in each one where a bunch of people with unique abilities are all over the place.

Naruto and Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia) are both (as I see them) ability animes, this is when the characters can use abilities either for fighting or just in everyday life.  Both animes have good character development, displays the characters really well, and have good storylines and art.

It’s no doubt that Naruto is one of the most successful anime franchise to come out of Japan. For many fans of the current generation, it is THE anime they grew up with. So when the creator, Masashi Kishimoto, compares a new anime to his extremely successful creation, you know that is high praise indeed.

Which is what recently happened when the mangaka released a drawing he did showing his beloved Naruto cheering on Deku, the main protagonist of Boku No Hero Academia (My Hero Academia).

It is known that Kishimoto is a big fan of the Boku No Hero Academia franchise and if you look closely at both Naruto and the former’s story, they do bear some resemblances. Both protagonists start off at the bottom of the rung, one born without powers and the other shunned. It’s through sheer hard work that both improves and grows to be the heroes they are. So it’s no surprise the Kishimoto would be a fan.

Boku No Hero Academia, on the other hand, is by Kōhei Horikoshi, and was first released in 2015 as a manga but has grown to be one of the key mangas in Weekly Shounen Jump even to the point of being called Naruto’s successor. Its first anime was released last year (2016) with the second season just ending and a third season confirmed for 2018.

Mainly due to same genre, or maybe because Naruto holds special place in my heart, and after finish of Naruto, Boku no Hero just simply took his place as the number 1 shounen anime? I am not sure. But something beyond words is pushing me towards Boku no Hero, just as it was with Naruto back in the days.

Horikoshi himself stated Kishimoto and Naruto as major inspirations for his work. Both are centred around protagonists with big, seemingly unattainable dreams. Both start off as bullied, irrelevant weaklings who gradually grow into powerful people with strong powers. There are good fights in both. Heavy usage of their own power in fights.

Naruto and Ao no Exorcist have a lot in common

Naruto and Rin both have demonic powers born in them at birth, but use them for good purposes to follow their dreams. They begin their lives as losers or rather characters that do not have any powers except their hard-working mindset. Both main characters are very powerful in their demonic forms where Naruto is Chakra, and Rin is Blue flames. They are both motivated by their parents who passed away early in their childhood and work hard to surpass their limits to protect their friends and loved ones.

Both main characters from the shows (Naruto, and Rin) are motivated to become someone who can save the world by their parents. If you liked Naruto you would like Soul Eater because Its a bout 3 kids which are meisters and 4 weapons. Naruto is similar to the Character Black*star because Naruto claims he is going to be hokage and Black*star says he is going to surpass God. Also the Main Character, Maka is similar to Sakura. They both Bully their closest friends like how sakura punches naruto and Maka bullies her partner,Soul Evans who is similar to Sasuke also, Death The kid is sort of similar to sasuke. I don't want to spoil but it is really a good anime and you might be freaked out by the first 3 or 2 episodes but trust me you wont regret ^_^  read more

They are alike because Naruto and Meliodas both have yellow hair, they are both (pretty much) demons, they like/liked a girl who can heal ppl and have unnatural hair, Naruto was despised by everyone at a certain time, but later he becomes a hero! Everyone hated Meliodas (not EVERYONE but most ppl cuz there are the members of the Seven deadly sins to think about), but later HE became a hero too. Both Meliodas and Naruto have a friend with an amazing hairstyle and attract the girls in the show, not only that, but the people in Nanatsu no taizai can use powers similar to the ninjutsu in Naruto/Naruto shippuden. WATCH NARUTO FIRST, THEN NARUTO SHIPPUDEN! (That is if you are interested of course). read more

Tsuna and Naruto are both no-good at the very start of both series. The hairstyles, I also noticed. But KHR has a more unique design for character hairstyles and a lot more humor comperd to Naruto Shippuuden.There may be times when the plot gets serious in Shippuuden and Reborn, but I actually understand serious terms in KHR more than in Naruto Shippuuden. I'm not saying Naruto Shippuuden is so bad, just try watching KHR to keep you busy while waiting for the next Naruto episode. Trust me, it'll get you hooked! Katekyo Hitman Reborn is very amusing and addictive.

Pein and Light Yagami (Kira) wants to rule the world through their God Complex like traits only to be opposed by Naruto and L in their respective shows. Both are different in terms of character's point of views to change the world in different ways. Only the main story in both Naruto and Death Note are centered in that. Madara and Mikami also have similar design and personality as well.

Like Naruto, has all you can want in a Shonen anime...action,sadness,coolness,incredibly determined main character just like Naruto, and is similar to Naruto junchuuriki. Both stories involve conflict regarding terrorism, corruption, politics, family feud, war, peace, drama, and both the main character's (Naruto and Sasuke, Lelouch and Suzaku) quest and conflict are slightly similar but not exactly the same. Both are dark, morally ambiguous stories. Also there are dark, complex and twisty storyline where important things are only revealed slowly, epic plots, interesting character developments, the conflicted antihero, and the unexpected moments of comedy amid the action and intrigue.

Naruto is a Japanese shonen and Mo Dao Zu Shi is from the Chinese genres wuxia and xianxia, ​​both of which are fights, martial arts and adventures.  In Mo Dao Zu Shi the protagonists begin as rivals, of opposite character but develop a very deep friendship like Naruto and Sasuke.  In both there are characters who lose all their Clan, and characters with a tragic past.  When I saw Mo Dao Zu Shi (Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, or Founder of Diabolism) I seemed to return to when I was 14 or 15 years old and I saw Naruto full of emotion.

This can be seen in the backgrounds and abilities of the main characters: both are skilled ninja, who combine ninjutsu with martial arts. Both Fuusuke and Naruto can use the wind element, and they have similar abilities, such as the substitution and clone jutsu, as well as their own version of Rasengan. In the sequel Shippuden though not up to the standards of Bebop, it does not change the fact that the moments live up to today even the future generations.

I notice some themes are similar:

-Existentialism: It is the reason why the characters exist and what their motives are making us relate really
-Nihilism: Even among the characters, this trait defines their driving factor in pursuing their goals

Both of those themes are the consequences of the very tragedy that took place and serves as the catalyst for each respective plot.

Not to mention the criminal organization (Akatsuki and Red Dragon Syndicate) have the red color motif and is not the type that to deal with even those who escape meets consequences far worse than death. read more

Both are shounen, so both have the character tropes and concepts that all shounen anime have, which are pretty good imo.
From lots of fights and cool abilities and skills to epic OST and plottwists - both have it all.
Very easy to get invested you can just relax, lay back and enjoy the good ol' shounen era style anime. 

Also one of the “Big three” it is another Shōnen adventure that was written in the same period. It also contains great fights, good villains, and a story similar, and different then Naruto’s.

Two shows that share more than you might think. Both start out in a compelling and interested way but end up leaving the viewer as disappointed as they are. Both have a protagonist who gains notable power-ups over the span of a few episodes, and they both share a gloomy and sad vibe overall from the middle onwards. Both protagonists also have the goal of making peace with the world they live in, and they want to do it their way.

It has a lot of cool characters and a lot of characters with different opinions about life, killing and war. Grenadier has a very similar humour and art to early Shippuden. Of course the similarity is rooted in trends of its time (2004-2005). The style of narration is also similar. Grenadier has a bit more ecchi. Naruto has more world-building. Both have similar dynamics between protagonists and antagonists (good guys - bad guys). Honestly, Grenadier almost feels like a filler Naruto arc, but more lewd and with different characters.

Both E7 and Shippuden feature  a world of war  wars between conflicting factions. And a boy with some hippie-ish sort of anti war personification  and just wants to be a peace maker and see everyone get along...both MC's want to protect someone they care about though one romantic and the other platonic (for obvious reasons).. renton's fighting to protect his crush much like naruto trying to keep his best friend alive   and just like in sasuke's case,  eureka also has people who want her dead. Like Naruto, Renton just wants everybody to get along.  also to remember   Eureka who falls in love with the MC is voiced by the same girl who loves Naruto .. Stephanie Sheh  is their voice actress (well at least in the english dubs of both shows)..  also to add in the english dub of the naruto franchise and Eureka Seven franchise, a majority of characters on each show have the same  voice cast..   read more

1. Like saitama and other heroes had powers like that naruto with other shinobi and samurai have great powers through chakra. 
2.There are few shinobi in naruto shippuden which exceed the power of saitama's 1 punch power
3. Both saitama and naruto were treated as they were not doing but behind the scenes they were the one who helped the village or cities with teammates.
4. Later in series one punch man and naruto both become famous.

characters who deal with social alienation, traumatic events, prejudice, characters with sad pasts, brooding themes of regret, revenge, betrayal and loneliness. similar emotional themes, loss of loved ones, similar sad themes. people who are/were test subjects in someone's lab..people who have escaped a lab orochimaru's hideout/kakuzawa's institution. there are many many moments  and conversations that grabs your heartstrings   both shows are tear jerker mania.       moral ambiguity  in characters     misunderstood characters      and there's a girl with pink hair

For those who have seen or are familiar with Naruto, Ga-Rei has a similar character relationship as Naruto and Sasuke where these two kids develop a close bond like brothers (in Ga-Rei its sisters) and one turns against the other, forcing one to kill the other. Other than that, there is a lot of fighting and action.

Both have mission basis style, character development, mythology, fighting monsters, action packed fights, twists, post apocalyptic, comedy, dark tone, drama, revelation, organizations with ambitions plot something far greater as the series progresses. The only difference is that Naruto deals with jutsu and hand in hand combat whereas in Neon Genesis, they deal with mecha and weaponry but mostly firearms.

Both deal with the ideology of war and peace, conflicts that will lead to war, political affairs, cycle of hatred, corrupted world, war to end all wars, and characters fighting through the morality of good, evil, or neutral. The only difference is that in Gundam Wing, there are mecha, space, idea of peace that is obtained through pure pacifism and conflict, and earth and colonies and in Naruto, there are shinobi nations, war and peace including understanding which the cycle of hatred will break one day, prophecy, jutsu, demons, ninjas, and supernatural powers. Scryed has a story that is very comparable to Naruto Shippuuden. Kazuma is being hunted down by an organization, yet has the hidden power to retaliate. While the main focus in both Naruto and Scryed is on the hardcore fights that show off a lot of different skills, there is also a pretty gloomy story and a few mysteries to discover!

Shaman King is alright... I suggest reading the manga of Shaman King, in same case of FMA, while the manga was still being written both series ended  in a way different to the manga.

Both main characters, Yoh and Naruto both are lazy and care about friendship and are powerful. They both have the power to change other's opinions about things. 
They also have a common goal, Akatsuki (Naruto) and Hao's followers (Shaman King). They meet various incounters. 
Every 500 years a Shaman Tournament is held. Shamans are welcome to enter and go thru a preliminary match to qualify. 
The series Shaman King is quite religious though. There are Christians and Buddhists thru the series, though Takei makes a compliment in both, so religion is not a conflict.

Though the personalities of both main characters are different, as is the basic setting of the show, Naruto and Yuuri one important trait:  an infectious and deliberate innocence.  Both characters appear dense to the point of folly sometimes and ultimately gather friends around them who are willing to protect them from their own blind spots.  However, as they grow and mature they both choose to ebrace their own innocence rather than becoming wiser and  more jaded.  It is their choice to take the hurt and pain of betrayal and ridicule rather than to embrace resentment, hate, or power that makes them strong and unpredictable.  While it appears that they are easily manipulated at the onset, their kindness and dedication goes to a level that supasses any riva'ls ability to comprehend and therefor often takes them off-guard.  Also, they are often underestimated since most people think their behavior a result of stupidity and naivete rather than a concious choice . . . a choice which makes people want to hope and makes them willing to follow.  

 It is also a little more mature from the outset than Naruto is; which feels very 'saturday morning cartoon' for much of the origional show. read more

Hated,neglected, and scarred. All the bad things and more happened to the main character as a young boy. years later, the boy finally gets friends. Can the boy change and let go of his past? Does the boy change enough, or too much?Pain is a part of life, just like happiness. Watch the main character fight though pain and happiness in their life full of super-natural things.

A shounen with a, in my opinion, little more mature approuch than Naruto, sacrificing a little bit of fighting for a lot more psychology etc.
Also, Naruto has several influenses from this anime as far as i can see.
One major point of difference though is the fact that Hunter X Hunter is quite alot more fast-pased than Naruto: Shippuuden.

Both stories deal with mission basis as well as demons and mercenaries. There are slight similarities in some character comparisons (not all of them) as well as techniques but you'll just have to find that out yourself. Some points of the story gets low until the story gets highly exciting. Both show's fights are epic made and blood is involved.

In their respective journeys to adulthood, the brash protagonist of the two series have suffered many losses of those who he cares about, which leads him to set out for revenge.

Naruto and Final Fantasy both have Fantasy settings both fantasy and steampunk alike with weapons (swords and others) and magic/supernatural powers. The plot is similar as well as character designs only a selective of them.

Both shows involve three friends who are trying to save each other from "darkness" or "the wrong path." The two shows are also very similar in terms of character. Masaomi & Mikado are sort of like Naruto and Sasuke in a weird way. Both young men want to save or take actions in their own unique ways. While Anri is like Sakura, always upset and unable to decide what is best or what to do about her two friends fighting.

Great Teacher Onizuka addpermalink

Onizuka is not your average teacher. Instead of teaching normal lessons he's trying to make everyone realize the importance of being a good person before being a good student. Being a teacher is a serious responsibility and he has to struggle a lot against some undisciplined children. Still, like Naruto, he's very serious about his goals and won't give up till the very end thus succeeding in becoming a teacher despite the fact that he was a legendary gank leader before.

Both are centered on characters who have different desires (7 magicians and 7 servants) and (Naruto's, Sasuke's point of view and Akatsuki's) that involve conflict regarding wishes and desires that paces throughout the story only to be twisted by certain events that will change the story forever. Fighting in both shows aren't just action packed but methodical and strategical plus it is at the same level. Swordplay and other types of weaponry (mostly long range) are heavily involved.
