Though I may have scored some series lowly, that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy them. Example: I gave Junjou Romantica a 6 although it is my guilty pleasure >:3 Gave Your Lie in April a 5 despite crying and relating to it personally... You get the point. Just cause I may give a series a low score doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it.
Anything above a 6 is something that I would recommend (some more than others)
10 - would re-watch, overall almost-perfect, if not perfect, series.
9 - great, but has minor flaws that are almost unnoticeable
8 - enjoyable but has flaws that are subtle
7 - enjoyable but flaws become apparent but do not detract from enjoyment.
6 - overall a good series that is enjoyable (usually "fun" series with no deep meaning behind it) and doesn't commit any major "sins" but at the same time is not extraordinary. Would still recommend.
5 - average but enjoyable.

Usually these series start off with potential and end up straying away from that.
4 - predictable and unoriginal but still enjoyable. Some standout scenes, but do not weigh out the mass majority of the poorly written ones.

3 - series suffers from poor writing with a small amount of somewhat interesting scenes that are overshadowed by the lackluster, unoriginal, and or poorly written moments. Slightly enjoyable.
2 - awful, cliche, and boring. Hardly enjoyable

Gintama is original, when i saw the first min.'s of ep 1 two things came to my mind: 1-awesome, a chase scene to start 2-the background change: bamboo forest, traditional village, futuristic city. I thought wow, this will be different. Every episode of Gintama that i have watched has been fun to watch and enjoyable in its entirety. The fun, comedy and randomness has been put to play amazingly like no other anime. Every episode you want to watch till the end and maintains your attention, but most of the time from the fun your having just viewing the anime you do not know when 24min.'s go by. It is an anime where anything can happen, just by the setting: A yorozuya, a do-anything-for-money-shop. The characters are awesome, the main three are just an lovable bunch. And the Supporting characters are given a large background and are given a lot of attention, to the point where the can make eps about only supporting characters and make them great (not done in many anime). Gintama teaches. Gintama produces side-hurting comedy. Gintama eps come along with a deeper meaning. Most importantly every episode is awesome and just fun to watch. And of course Gintama is just sometimes wacky and silly.
