10 - An almost perfect balance of story, art, and characters. Of course, nothing is perfect, but it's so good that I can safely overlook any flaws.

9 - Very impressive, but still has a few nagging flaws that prevent it from achieving a perfect score.

8 - Starts good and gets even better, to the point that it sets itself apart from the rest. Still, not what I would call a masterpiece.

7 - Enjoyable throughout. Has some considerable flaws to be criticized but otherwise pretty good.

6 - Above average. Shows potential to become something good but unfortunately gets bogged down by blandness. Still enjoyable.

5 - Average. Doesn't leave a lasting impression, but still enjoyable in its own way.

4 - Below average. Not offensively bad, but unfortunately the cons outweigh the pros. Leaves me wanting more than anything else.

3 - Mostly bad. Has a decent concept or characters that suffer from poor execution. Makes me ask myself "why the fuck did I watch this?"

2 - All around terrible, but has a few sporadic good things happen in it that save it from the pit.

1 - No redeeming qualities whatsoever, or does something so atrocious that it forces me to overlook anything it did right

* Subjectivity does play a part in the ratings I give. I'm not gonna sit here and pretend I'm some hardass anime critic, especially when there are much better and more respectable things I could pretend to be.
