Both series have similar approaches to romance - the characters are allowed to think and explore what love and dating means to them and if it fits with what they heard from other people. Both feature romances between girl main characters. While YagaKimi has a richer plot and deals with deeper feelings, Whisper Me A Love Song has a more light-hearted approach.

Yuri with quite similar characters' appearances/development, however the characters' personalities are practically swapped in each series. Smart dialogue with nothing too cliche as you may see in other shoujo.

Two of the most famous Yuri manga series, and with quite a few things in common. Their storylines have very similar plot points and story beats, and in particular their last tomes are almost eerily similar structurally. Both are highschool romances with an emphasis on lesbian self-discovery, and the way they develop is warm, cute and very sensitive. YagaKimi's artwork is very detailed and its paneling and use of lighting is very good; while Girl Friends is more cartoonish and exagerated, not allowing characters actions and expressions for a moment of normalcy, but they both complement their tones really well. YagaKimi's story is more subdued, dramatic  read more

Both manga have well-written, endearing romances, both are adorably fluffy with great pay-offs, and both have similar settings/concepts (both shows are about high school age girls getting close to graduating, and feature the same themes of first love and inexperience). Both of these manga also have a very similar relationship dynamic between the charmingly clueless protagonist and her popular, cool senpai.

Both revolve around school life and once side is openly in persue of the other party while the other is confused about their feelings or non existing feelings, it's actually more complex of what im making it sound, all characters have their own personalities and backgrounds. Both are amazing reads, my top shoujo-ai right now.

Both couples are sweet and both face problems in their relationship. TBH, I thought I'd never find a yuri manga as good as bloom into you but here it is. The plot is not that similar but I like how both couples just have that same amount of sweetness and face reality situations. However, Can't defy the lonely girl is still publishing while bloom into you is already finished.

Both stories are about the relationship between two high-school girls; a kouhai and her senpai. Also in both stories the senpai has something that doesn't show others except to her kouhai. Yagakimi is more romantic while Nettaigyo is more about the friendship between the girls.

Both are shoujo-ai, and both are mangas I have enjoyed. As I was reading Fragtime, the "melodrama" (<-not really, but for the lack of better words) at the end reminded me quite strongly of one of the MCs of Yagate. I personally think Yagate goes a bit deeper into the psychology of the characters and develops them a bit more naturally, so if you are interested in that, I'd recommend checking it out. (In general though, both are simply good shoujo-ai, so if you are looking for more of that stuff, give either a go and you should leave satisfied.)

They are both Yuri manga. Both have strong characters who you can't help but cheer on. There is a similar struggle with what is love and is this kind of love okay. Both invoke strong emotions and are hard to put down once you start reading. With all the character trying to be the most real self they can despite the struggle brought upon them by themselves and society.

Substantial similarity both stylistically and in story structure (in addition to genre overlap, of course)

- Both stories are about a girl admiring someone who isn't as perfect as she thinks - Both stories have a girl who has heavy ideals for the person they like/admire and forgets that that person is only human. - Additionally, they're both about accepting yourself. - These manga have a similar artstyle. Very beautiful and cute. - They're both, of course, yuri/gl

If you’re looking for a moe heartwarming Yuri then this is for you. It is not containing the big plot as Bloom Into You but it is a really enjoyable ride.

Both are the perfect Yuri Manga that manage to tell a rather unoriginal story in such an outstanding way that it immediately captures you and doesn't let you go until you finish it. Both carefully handle their respective characters and thus makes both them incredibly relatable and their relationship feel natural. Both also have an underlying effect of a character in the acting scene putting up a front and only showing their real self to a few selected others. Both feature some of my favorite manga couples

While After Hours is, in my opinion, not as well written as Bloom Into You, both stories have tender romances and characters with great chemistry. If you enjoyed one of these stories, consider reading the other!

It has a bunch of great one-shots and Nio Nakatani actually illustrated some of them. Would recommend it, though the storytelling is very different in each chapter since there are different authors working together to produce this manga.

The characters have a hard time expressing what they really want from their relationship.

Good romance

A ton of questions, and a ton of kissing. Both are stories of conflicts, internal ones at that. Bloom Into You and Okaeri Alice are both stories of individuals trying to reach fix themselves and how that affects the others around them. A broken romance, if you will. Bloom Into You features Nanami in her relationship with Yuu, trying to get to understand herself through their intimacy as well other factors that appear later on. Okaeri Alice is the same, however, Kei finds himself in this already fixed state earlier on, the story really goes around and shows the impacts and the new people that are  read more

Highschool girls, Yuri, one girl has long black hair and the other has short brown hair.

Both great girls love story. I think they both have an emphasis on accepting yourself as you are and not as you should be, though Rose Garden has more of an emphasis on the relationship while Bloom Into You has a greater emphasis on the character growth. Both fantastic.

Both of these mangas are about girls falling in love with one another. Bloom Into You is far better than Adachi and Shimamura as far as overall quality and storytelling. Both are lighthearted and fun reads. Both are relatively short as far as manga goes. Would recommend giving both a try.

Feminine high school girls & lesbian relationships. A School-Life story with a bit Slice-of-Life. But don't expect a load of fanservices!

Both manga are about an orange haired girl who doesn't know what love is and slowly finds what it means to love someone else - a girl.

While Yagate Kimi ni Naru goes more in-depth, both involve the theme of using a mask socially to cover your inner insecurities. Same high-school setting, same "most popular star student" main girl, same theme of only revealing your true self to each other, and both shoujo-ai.

Prism is a bit shorter, but they have a similar feel, fun and tender with pleasing art.

Both series protray unusel relationship between the protagonists, a relationship which they take advantage of each other, and hide their thought, restrain and deny their own feeling.
reportRecommended by Yangbojian
Both series are story of slow burn romance between females that protrayed delicately. Both series include more stories of side characters.
reportRecommended by Yangbojian
Both of these are yuri/shoujo ai manga with gorgeous art and stronger story and character development than you will find in most other works in the genre.

While Sasameki Koto has slightly more comedic elements, with Yagate Kimi ni Naru striking a somewhat more serious tone, both series are centered around the love between girls in a high school setting. In both cases the love is a slowly blooming one giving its development a realistic impression.

Girls' Love, or close. A drama about understanding. Our peers, ourselves, the outside world, whatever it is, Bloom Into You and Yoru to Umi wish to understand these concepts and entities by drawing characters close together, getting them to interact to find answers about the reality of their situation. Look for a more intense girls' love drama in Bloom Into You, rather than a thought-provoking yet relaxed Yoru to Umi. Whichever you go with next, know that you may find yourself in for a unique and interesting experience. Quite fast to read too, not a lot of dialogue compared to other manga.

What really connects the two is this feisty nature from those you'd otherwise not expect them to have. For some reason, simply having good hair or not being able to love is enough to turn on one to the point in which things get a little more intense. Where Your Fragrance is just a doujin compared to the whole manga of Bloom Into You, you could consider the former as a condensed version of the latter with that little but odd twist to it.

Apart from both being Yuri and each having a gripping story with a good ending, these two have little on common. But they happen to be the best Yuri titles, and one of the best manga or anime stories I have read. They sort of complement each other, in that each has what the other lacks- WDTFS is an ADULT adult romance with more complex characters that you will love and hate at times, while Yagakimi is a school romance seemingly based on stereotypical chara situations, but with a well paced story, really good character development and their unique perspectives-inner thoughts- used for story progression.

Furetai is uncannily similar to Yagate only with the self proclaimed asexual as the aggressive one in the relationship instead of the recently awaken lesbian. Even after only 3 chapters it's obvious that the asexual exploring her sexuality is going to be a major theme in Furetai, just like in Yagate.

Shattered identity. A romance between two girls and two boys, both of which, can still please an open audience, for all to see at that matter. Bloom Into You and Boy Meets Maria are both good manga that uses their relationships given to build a story of understanding oneself from the identity crisis that they have grown to. Bloom Into does this with Nanami and her loss in her way of life, using Yuu and some other entities as a means to try and find her existential reasoning. Boy Meets does this with Arima and his gender identity due to the past he had gone through. Both  read more
