Yagate Kimi ni Naru

Yuri with quite similar characters' appearances/development, however the characters' personalities are practically swapped in each series. Smart dialogue with nothing too cliche as you may see in other shoujo.

Both are initially one-sided shoujo-ai/yuri where each girl faces psychological problems of her own. Citrus is bit more sexual (nothing graphic), dramatic, and cliche than Yagate, but still similar. Both mention the secrecy of lesbian relationships and both have one girl trying to help the other through family problems. Almost identical settings as well, student council president and all.

I think Citrus and Yagate Kimi ni Naru are the best stories currently in the yuri genre; if you enjoyed the former I think you'll very likely enjoy the latter. Both do a very good job of creating a cohesive, intricate, and ever-evolving narrative around the story's main couple. While YagaKimi is not the melodrama Citrus is, it uses a more typical dramatic style and is even a bit dry at times, it is still very compelling and emotionally gripping. YagaKimi's overall narrative quality is comparable to Citrus, and I would definitely recommend checking it out.
Both have Yuri
One of the main character is a member of the student council
Some characters look similar
There is a President and Vice President which is like Touko and Saeki from Yagate Kimi ni Naru and Mei and Himeko from citrus.
This one is likely to come up, and there is a good reason.
Both feature a plot about girls falling in love in early high school and go deep about the feelings involved. The main couple is a seemingly insensitive girl and a and a more "happy-go-lucky" one.
The main difference however, is the plot is told mainly from the OTHER one of our romantic couple.
Similar length, very entertaining, it's a fun read.
same genre except the forbidden love idea has become a representation of asexual "love?"
