After 3 years of Jack Vessalius (my favorite character from Pandora Hearts, read it, you won't regret it; stay away from the anime though), I am finally changing my profile pic! (02/09/2023)
God I already love this pic so much xD
Now about yours truly:
Just an avid enjoyer of japanese media. Nothing more, nothing less.
I usually look for 3 things while watching/reading. An engaging story, well rounded and developed characters and the emotional impact it has on me. Sometimes I prioritze the characters over the story, sometimes the other way around depending on what it's about, sometimes I just watch some stuff for good fun but if you don't get me on board emotionally to anyone, you might've as well just lost me completely and can't really expect a good rating.
My favorite character list is constantly rotating around, but there is one iron-clad rule I won't ever break: Kumiko will never leave the list. EVER!
On the topic of favorites, I need themes for what kind of characters I can put in there, feel free to suggest some
Also: I am addicted to lists.
AniList account where you can find my extended favorites(season/arc-based for anime)
Currently, I am WAY more active over there aside from interactions with a few people on here.
Speaking of, I also wrote a review over there for the manga
The Summer You Were There that I would appreciate if you'd read because I'm honestly quite proud of that one:

Additionally to that, you can also find my
entire journey through the Monogatari LNs over there.
Personal rating system: After I finish an anime or manga I grant it points from 1-10 in the categories story, characters, emotional impact, art+animation, sound (except manga), and the ending/conclusion and then make an average out of the score. If I feel like I didn't enjoy it as much as I gave points I'll subtract some from one or two categories or vice versa. Sometimes my opinion on some stuff changes a bit and it can go from a 7 to an 8 or vice versa but I usually don't change it too much. The baseline from which every story begins is a 5/10, points are added or deducted in correspondence to what I like or dislike.
10 - I got two categories for this one. The true masterpieces with a full score of 10/10 and the ones that aren't quite masterpieces but basically as close to perfect as it gets with a 9.5/10. Most common reasons for me giving it a 9.5 instead of 10 is because there's either a particular tiny flaw that I can't overlook, or the story is not finished yet. I won't give ANY unfinished story a full 10/10, no matter how good it is.
After a while of considering, I chose to represent the 9.5/10 not with a 10 on here anymore but with a 9 on my list numerically, but I still specify in the tags which one is a 9.5. And if that doesn't help, just go to my Anilist, that's way more accurate right now anyway xD

You know, I think I never ask this and I am sorry for it, but how are you doing? How is the final month of the year treating you?
Hori was such a weird character. It was a bit weird how she always got jealous when her boyfriend was close to other guys. I didn´t like her volatile personality, though I understand she was a teenager; yet, I believe you when you say she gets much worse. I am curious to ask for some examples, hahaha. Also, that creepy teacher was completely unnecessary, especially for a manga that isn´t too old.
The anime isn't that long, and you have a great taste for anime, I mean you were right regarding Symphogear so I may give Karekano a chance.
It's not like I was trying to diminish the value of Shoujo anime, because there are good ones, and I honestly don´t know where that was coming from hahaha. I wish that, sometimes, the authors decided to go against the norm and that the main couple wouldn´t end up together. Instead, they would go with a character with whom they have more chemistry. I remember hearing that in an anime called Fukumenkei Noise the female lead had more chemistry with the second male lead, but instead, she ended up with a childhood friend who constantly belittled her. Or at least for the main characters going their separate ways instead of deciding that their relationship can be solved.
An anime that I watched this year where I feel the main couple shouldn´t be together in the end was A Condition Called Love; the MC needed a lot of emotional help.
I know that Fate is about people fighting for the Holy Grail that can grant wishes, there are multiple routes and characters, and most people fight alongside the spirit of a legendary or mythological figure. And I also think there is a multiverse with characters who don´t appear in the main story.
I don´t mind gore, though I am a bit dumb and may not realize the philosophy behind things, but so far Kara no Kyoukai seems like an interesting story; I will give the movies a chance.
I never watched Agents of Shield since aside from the X-Men I am not the biggest Marvel fan, but that is such a deep and beautiful quote you put there.
A Place Further than the Universe does teach you to try as hard as you can to reach for what you want, to not get discouraged by people, and to shout out in their faces when you finally accomplish it; which in the case of Shirase was more than deserving.
Oh, I see, my mistake hahaha.
It's weird because I remember the second season ended in a certain way, and on the MAL page for the sequel the synopsis says something weird; when did Xiaoshi die? Did I miss something?
While this is the first I heard about you liking Girls Band Cry, I have seen for a while here on MAL and on other pages how popular that anime has been, even though it finished months ago it seems to be held in high regard by a lot of people. The designs of the characters look actually good, and they look stunning on the MAL art of them. I will give it a chance after finishing Grand Blue.
Did it connect with you, like, on the same level as Hibike Euphonium or on a deeper level?
In my case, after months of ignoring it, because I couldn´t stand the MC, I finally finished Bucchigiri. I swear I cannot understand what the hell was MAPPA thinking with that anime; I had never seen a story before where the the main character was so irrelevant, and his absence actually made the story better.
I also watched all the current videos of Alien Stage, and it was impressive. You may like it.
I see that you also have finished Bang Dream My Go. How you like it?
I'm just watching seasonal anime and Hxh and the Monogatari series.
What have you been doing?
(●っゝω・)っ~☆HIYAH☆ Thanks For Accepting My Friend Request ❤
Nice to meet chu. How are you doing?
Thankyou for accepting my friend request. It is nice to meet you :)
How are you doing?
Someone who watched and read Horimiya posted in which order the chapters were adapted, and it was a complete mess; like, episode 5 adapted half of chapter 20 and chapter 22, and then episode 7 adapted the other half of chapter 20 and chapter 40. It was too rushed, but I still saw some big fans enjoying it and calling it a good adaptation, which furthered my refusal to read the manga since I wasn´t particularly fond of any characters, especially the main couple. Hori was a bit abusive, and I didn´t like the way she treated her dad.
I am not quite fond of manipulation and blackmail, especially in relationships, and without watching it yet I am sure they end up together, no offense by any means; what can you say to me about Kareshi Kanojo?
Kara no Kyoukai always called my attention, and fantasy has been calling my attention since a while ago. I may give the movies a chance. By the way, I know they are written by Type-Moon who is also in charge of Fate, are they connected in any way?
I watched A Place Further Than the Universe this year, what is your opinion so far?
So he is the narrator of the novel, what type of narrator is he? Does he know everything that happens like an omniscient narrator or just what he sees?
"Alone but fulfilled" a bit corny, yet so relatable; so much of a vibe and a mood. Like, you don't need to be surrounded by people or be in a relationship to be happy. I almost forget that "I love everyone so everyone needs to love me" I love Izaya and his chaotic mindset; he does and says whatever he wants. I would love to see more interactions between him and his sisters.
The second picture clearly describes him as a narcissist. I feel he is the type who wants to rule over his relationships and be in control.
I love the first season of Link Click, especially the first opening song and the dark season finale, but my hype died a bit during season 2, to be honest; I disliked that pink-haired guy way too much even if I sympathized with his background. Hence, while I may watch a continuation, I am not desperate for it.
Hahaha, I recognize the name immediately.
I can see what you are talking about; taste changes, one grows, and maybe what once we thought was boring turned out to be impressive in its own way. I mean, I wasn´t in the hype for the Hunger Games movies and now I am reading the prequel book.
I read your review, pretty interesting, you found it's something after a while; 7/10 is a pretty generous mark. Lowkey making me want to watch it.
Ugh, I wasn´t able to like Horimiya to be honest; I wanted to like it, but I feel it was trying to be way too serious and failed at trying to be wholesome. There were some good episodes, but not enough. Nevertheless, its adaptation was quite a mess indeed, I saw a guy who posted the manga chapter order into anime, and everything was so chopped.
Have fun watching Durarara, tell me everything you think about when you finish your rewatch.
Interesting, was that character named or he was just a one-time character? If he had information relevant to Izaya then I guess he must have been a bit important.
Well, we are currently in November and I haven´t seen a thing related to Link Click getting released. I feel like when a manga I was reading went into hiatus and everyone was saying it was returning on November 2023, then December 2023, and now we are reaching 2025.
Sorry, but I am skipping this one. I have no doubt it has to be good, and I think I will enjoy it, but I am not in the mood for some reason.
The male main character or the female main character?
Casshern Sins? Didn´t you absolutely dislike it, find the soundtrack the only salvable thing, and write a bad review about it? A bit of a masochist I see hahaha.
I hope it is a full season with 24 episodes, I want to see as much of the manga getting animated as possible. It is criminal that maybe Madoka will not appear due to her introduction being quite late in the manga.
That's normal, one of the manga from my favorite section got an anime adaptation and the first episodes chopped the first three chapters together. Plus, the ending song uses scenes from chapters I am sure will not be adapted, which sucks because they added more layers.
Please tell me, enlighten me; what were specific key moments shifted? I was a huge fan of Durarara season 1, and I remember quite a lot of things; if there are spoilers from later seasons I don´t mind knowing either.
I don´t mind recopilatory movies, especially when they aren´t in an anime season and took the week of a regular episode, but this time I am not fond of the idea of the movie. They may be unnecessary for people like us who enjoyed Gintama until the final second, but the studio still wants money, just like Dragon Ball and Sponge Bob and how they continue to exist with their creators. Money is money, and with a movie from a popular franchise, it will be easy money.
Even though I've been quite busy at work these past months, I've still managed to watch some anime I was interested in and some sequels I watch just to see what will happen:
-I am also watching Rurouni Kenshin remake S2, but to be completely honest, I watched the first season and I just don´t understand what is the big deal with it, or why it was so popular.
-I got a bit tired of high school anime romances, and I decided to skip Blue Box. The only thing that caught my attention about it is what is the meaning behind the title.
-I decided to read Dandadan before watching the anime, and I enjoyed each chapter so much; Momo, her grandma, and Jiji are my favorite characters. I love the opening song so much, that part near the end where Momo and everyone are abducted (Not a spoiler, I am not so far in the manga) feels lowkey deep.
-Is Link Click S3 getting released this season?
-Some sequels I am watching this season are Bleach TYBW part 3, Blue Lock S2, Tower of God S3, Kamierabi S2, Kamonohashi Ron S2, Natsume's Book of Friend S7, and Shangri-La Frontier S2.
Some newer from this season that I am watching as well:
-Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, which in only three episodes has been a rollercoaster; the third one shocked me so much, it was so unexpected.
-How I Attended an All-Guy's Mixer, which is funny, nothing out of the ordinary.
-Ranma 1/2, which I am enjoying a lot.
-Finally, Youkai Gakkou no Sensei Hajimemashita! which is the manga I mentioned before; there are two episodes out already, and I am praying it doesn´t fail.
I know I said I was busy with work, but I am lucky that most of these airs on days I am free hahaha.
By the way, I have forgotten to ask you this, but did you see that Kaoru Hana Wa Rin to Saku is receiving an anime adaptation? I am so happy for it. I wonder in which 2025 season it will air.
I mean, I have seen officially translated books where the translators are credited, and maybe they give some words, but not to the point of writing two full pages flattering yourself while criticizing the writer of a popular franchise.
Some words of acknowledgment are one thing, but Sawa person has a huge ego.
Maybe in the meantime from translating one novel to the other Sawa had their own character development and ended up with a huge self-esteem that doesn´t let him proofread. Maybe he was in a bad month when working on the translation and became frustrated by it.
I looked it up some time ago, and I found out it is an actual disease and a serious one as well; it is indeed something nobody would like.
Ironically, the town I live in is a bit rural while also being very close to the second biggest city in the country hahaha. Still, we live in a small town where nobody cared if you drank or not, and next to the city that has all the pubs and discos where IDs are never asked for.
I was so sure Kaguya was on Netflix, I swear in my life I saw the title not so long ago; I guess the platform removed it. I am honestly curious about the series because I have seen it as a mix of hilarious and wholesome. Was the whole manga adapted? Or are there arcs still unadapted?
Dungeon Meshi is so good, I laughed so much with it that sometimes I just repeated the scenes to keep laughing. Like, a certain scene where three of the main male characters were hugging due to a wholesome conversation, while the TV focused on the female lead lying next to them fighting for her life; it reminded me of that monkey scene from The Simpsons. If you ever read the manga or watch the anime let me know what you think.
I know, I heard it from time to time and I added it to on Spotify hahaha; IN MY WORLD, the second opening of Blue Exorcist season 1, is sung by the same group, and it is another hit.
Have you noted any difference between anime and novels? I know the anime tends to add in the opening sequence the characters who were going to be prominent in the season, but sometimes said characters barely appear; like, in the Saika arc a policeman and Kasuka appeared in the visuals and I am sure they appeared in only one episode each.
I think the movie was produced in order to keep milking the franchise; Gintama is one of the most popular franchises in Japan, so another movie will be a hit, I only wish it was from another arc. Yoshiwara in Flames, Shinsengumi Crisis, Red Spider, Baragaki, Courtesan of a Nation, and The Four Devas are way better arcs than the Kintama arc.
I read the quote you sent me, and to write Professionalism in paragraphs after complaining how much you hated something nobody forced you to translate, and adding two pages flattering yourself and attacking the mistakes of the author, was laughable.
I get you used your free time to translate a novel to spread it, but the level of entitlement and arrogance would not make me want to thank this person.
Does every fan translator do this? Writing their ideas and adding them to the novel I mean.
Hahaha, I just found it so weird that I needed to correct it hahaha; that sounded so weird, and I am sure that is a whole different disease if it exists.
Really? You can start drinking from age 16? I have always wondered if changing the legal age of drinking would help to supervise underage drinking or not; my first drink was at 14 during my first year of high school at a family gathering, but in my country, the legal age is at 18. In Chile, it is the same, everyone starts way earlier hahaha.
I think I will start watching Kaguya-sama on Netflix, it has always caught my attention, and it seems like a funny story.
I recently finished watching Dungeon Meshi, which became one of my favorite anime, and Romantic Killer which I mistook for another anime, but I ended up enjoying it; it took an interesting approach.
Tell me everything about the Durarara novels when you finish reading them; I will be very eager to hear that since I was a bit obsessed with the first season of Durarara back in the day, especially with the second opening song.
By the way, did you see the message about the newer Gintama movie? While I am glad Gintama is still receiving attention, I hate it is the Kintama arc; I hated so much the way everyone treated Gintoki. I wish it was the Yoshiwara in the Flames arc.
