Both are about a disturbed, deranged young woman who stalks and harasses the male protagonist after a chance encounter and doesn't hesitate to harm those close to him to get to him. The main differences are that Zashiki Onna starts off fairly mild and builds up tension and terror as it goes along whereas Ibitsu goes full tilt from the beginning, and that the stalker in Ibitsu is developed and explored a bit more thoroughly than in Zashiki Onna. Other than those factors, they're pretty much different takes on the same story.

Creepy stalker-girls strike fear into the hearts of men. DON'T LIE TO GIRLS, OR TALK TO GIRLS THAT ARE SITTING NEAR RUBBISH!!!!! Ibitsu could be compared to many of Higurashi's unhappy, disturbing offerings, but the ever increasing creepiness seen in the opening Higurashi arc as its lead desperately tries to escape from a girl following him with a sharp, not-so-friendly weapon probably best matches up.

Horror story about an urban legend with a similar style of narration. At first I thought it was the work of the same author.

Both of the Mangas have creepy girls , killing people here & there . Both of the girls are twisted .Lots of gore in both of the series but Ibitsu is a little bit more disturbing. Both series are quite creepy with an insane amounts of murder and lots of blood with various ways of killing

Both have a creepy girl that will kill anyone who gets in her way. The Lolita from Ibitsu is even more twisted than Yuno; a total psychopath if you will. Lots of gore in both, but Ibitsu is a lot more disturbing (if you thought Higurashi was scary, think again! The Lolita is probably creepy enough to scare away the entire cast in Higurashi). Recommended for those into horror and gore.

Horror thriller fans are going to love these short, horrifying stories. In both stories, the male protagonist meets a mysterious, scary girl, and soon finds out that they are in deep shit.

You'll probably enjoy this if you like any of the Higurashi arcs, I just chose Meakashi-hen due to it having the closest level of gore in comparison to Ibitsu. Both series are quite creepy with an insane murderer and lots of blood and a high scare factor. Just be warned though, Ibitsu contains some images that some people may consider more disturbing than those in Higurashi, plus I personally found Ibitsu to be a bit scarier.

Both Ibitsu and Higurashi have creepy female characters and paranoid male characters. Ibitsu is significantly shorter than the Higurashi volumes. Higurashi also has elements of a supernatural nature and some comedy. Both have frequent gory scenes. I've only pinpointed one of the volumes of the Higurashi series but they are all fantastic and have similar themes.

Hideout and Ibitsu similarly have both Horror and Seinen categories. They have contracted plots and graphics that adds impact to the atmosphere that is needed at an important scenario. They are both Completed as well.

Both Messed up Psychological and body horrors

Both somewhat involve "games" that contribute to the main plot of the story. (Granted Ibitsu's "game" is more along the lines of an urban legend, but you still have to answer a question in a somewhat "horror game right or wrong type spiel" so I'm gonna count it.) Both titles love to horrifize (That's not a real word, but you get what I'm saying.) cute animals, throw in a yandere or two, and really give hell to the poor main character.

Zero: Kage Miko is a manga based on the Fatal Frame (Project Zero) games. Just like Ibitsu there are some scary imagery that will creep you out! If you like ghosts and stories surrounding a haunted location you really should give this manga a chance!

Both have gothic lolita fashion style, as well as also sharing unusual girls who wear that, and it also share themes of double identities from different people as well too.

Fuan no Tane is a series consisting of short, atmospheric stories, while Ibitsu is a lot more developed on the story and a lot more suspenseful. I recommend Ibitsu if you liked Fuan no Tane, as both series are scary in their own right, and achieve the level of horror in the reader using different methods such as art, storyline and psychological elements. Both really scary stuff, and must-read series.

Very gory and creepy horror manga about mysterious murderers. In Dolls Fall, they are believed to be a witch while in Ibitsu, it is a girl who believes she is someone's younger sister.

Both are 'pure' horror stories. To compare to Junji Ito's stuff, they lack comedy and weirdness, and instead build creeping horror and atmosphere to attempt to deliver a real scare.

If you liked Elfen Lied then you will probably enjoy Ibitsu. Be warned however, if you dislike the gore in Elfen Lied, Ibitsu is not only gore but also significantly unsettling as a manga.

Both are horror manga that are actually scary, not like some shoujo wannabe horrors. Both contain explicit violence, altrough Uzumaki is still way more... creative. If you´ve read it you know what I mean. Stories actually aren´t similar, but they give off the same genuinely creepy atmosphere. Artwork in both is fitting to the genre, but still kind of... pretty. Okay, not pretty, since it´s strange to call such scenes pretty, so I´ll say well-drawn instead. Uzumaki and Ibitsu are definitely must read for all horror fans.

Fuan no Tane Plus and Ibitsu are similarly having the same category. Although Ibitsu has a much more intense and longer plot, they both give chills and creepy atmosphere as well.

If you like horror manga, then you will love Ibitsu. Mystery, horror, and gore mixed. Ibitsu, and Gyo too, are both magnificent in a good horror way.

Horrendous gore, bone-chilling visuals, and a creepily-cute girl to tie it all together in a nice intestine bow. Both Ibitsu and Tokyo Akazukin pride themselves as every drawing is detailed with ornate squiggles and jointed angles in all of their disembowelment moments and twisted limbs. The gore is prime in both mangas and for a horror genre, that is admirable. Their stories too are quite compelling, but fair warning, Tokyo Akazukin is VERY racy and a great amount of lolicon. That would definitely turn others away. For those with the stomachs and open-mindedness, give TA a try if Ibitsu charmed your bleeding, beating heart.

Very "strong" "sibling" relationships between the main characters (the quotation marks are because of Ibitsu not Pupa). Very gory horror manga in which one of the main characters will do anything in order to protect their "sibling."
