| 5 long years it's been since we've seen our main boy himself Koyomi. It's like he never left. Seeing the baddie herself Gaen after so long as well is great to see. This time around, looks like Kanbaru'll be a bit important, seeing as this whole case with the basketball girls dying are from her school. Crazy to think that Kanbaru lowkey was carrying that team lol. Even though it's been a minute, Koyom ain't rusty one bit. Dude got the case and put the puzzle together with that white haired chick. Which ofc lead them to find out the real reason behind the mummification or whatever of the girls, that being Deathtopia herself. Glad to see that she'll be pivotal for the rest of the season, and wasn't just for the last story. And man, nostalgia started hitting when we went into Kanbaru's room. It's been far too long. |

| Yeah guys, basketball is hard, but that doesn’t mean you get yourself involved with a vampire who’s been out for a meal since the last 600 years lol. The way this season has adapted arcs, it all makes sense why they jumped from Waza to Shiobumonogatari. I mean we’ve got enough context on Deathtopia at this point. Though I believe they’d adapt the rest of the left-out arcs too at some point, atleast few of them, but anyway, as for the time being, we got our protag back… King Araragi. Those mummified/dried-up girls or should I say victims were seriously something to say. I mean we can guess how they ended up that way, but yes, doesn’t change the fact that the situation is so dire both Gaen and Araragi had to come out to investigate. Still I’ll always like how the mysteries are builded up in this series, like with the whole coding-decoding thing this episode lol. Props to the new girl btw. I hope she sticks around, Meniko, that is. Though yeah, they already know Deathtopia is behind all of this. Great start to the arc btw, with all these mysteries and a potential meeting between the vampire women to look forward to… and to see Araragi in girls school uniform as well xD Also not sure but she looks the most plain out of all the monogatari girls lol.  |

| The first time we get an episode with Araragi this season with an interesting case that made the previous arm make sense. I wonder how much of a role Shinobu will play her seeing her connection. And it seems Basketball girls are popular amongst the vampires. |

Just hope she won't get killed before. New girl voiced by Momo Asakura and she's kind of amusing. Kanbaru and her junior messing with Araragi lol, reminded me of old times. Time for Araragi to show why he's the protag. |

| The man, the myth, the legend returns, and it's like he never left at all... Can you believe that it's been five years since Koyomi was on screen? It was wonderful hearing his narration of everything once again, and seeing him in action. Seeing how this episode played out, it made sense why Wazamonogatari was adapted before this, to get enough context on Deathtopia and her personality. So far, this seems like quite the engaging mystery, with members of the basketball team in Naoetsu High School getting mummified by Deathtopia, and Koyomi, with the help of a new girl, Meniko, did not lose a beat in his problem solving skills. Hopefully, the new characters have more of a role to play in this arc, which will last the rest of the season. Looking forward to how this all plays out. |

| The scene that starts when Araragi-Hentai meets Kanbaru and Higasa and until the end was hilarious. 5 victims already and they figured out who the vampire is or at least Gaen knows her. Let's see when Shinobu will get involved in the arc and how she handles her old acquittance. ED is Shinobu version. |
| Finally, Muraragi-san is back. I didn't think it'd actually happen. Not so soon anyway. I thought Araragi would take a nice long break from being the MC after Zoku Owarimonogatari was over. Then the girls would temporarily take over. But Ig this is fine too. Araragi at just 19 looks so different from his younger self. Holy moly. They introduced so many new characters in just one episode and they all had actual designs instead of being weird silhouettes. Shaft's budget will never recover from this. Tho Ig most of them just look like extras. The only notable one was the one university classmate of Araragi. She just seems like Hanekawa-lite to me. Idk if it's cos of the glasses or that she's supposed to be the smart type. Regardless, I want to see the real deal! Also, I don't get what was the deal with writing Deathtopia Vituoso Suicide-Master's initials in such a contrived way. No OP in this episode. The visual of the ED changed and so did the verse. Undead is a really nice song ngl. The new visual with Araragi and Shinobu is so hype. Speaking of Shinobu, she was completely absent from this episode. Where is she? Guess we'll find out in the next episode. That might the real mystery of Shinobumonogatari. |

| Hmm, something is off. Don't get me wrong, it was an amazing episode. But something about the rythm of this episode was so different than anything we've had before. Like the long silences in the talk w/ Higasa and Suruga. That was so uncharacteristic. It threw me off, but it's very intriguing. Kizu parallels all over the place. This for the first time makes me consider that vampirism might have a thematic tie to fate in this series. Specifically to people fated to meet each other. Wasn't it mentioned at some point that Kiss-Shot's/Shinobu's presence draws apparitions to the town? But yeah, Kie's meeting with Deathtopia Virtuoso Suicide-Master definitely mirrored Araragi's meeting with Kiss-Shot. He loner personality. Her feeling of being lost. Hell, she even looks like him. I fucking love Deathtopia and her weird shenanigans. Q777B? Yeah, sure. Whatever suits you. But I'd really like to know the background for the other attacks. Were they also consensual? I'd think it probably has to do with Kie summoning some form of aberration with her thoughts. Very excited for this arc. Good thing we're getting 6 episodes of it. |

| New arc is here finally, and along with it is the return of Araragi, I was kinda hoping this season would be nothing but new MCs but I guess Araragi was too great to leave out forever, I’m not mad tho, it’s nice to see the man again even if it hasn’t been that long for me since I just watched Zoku Owari a few months ago lol. And this arc is off to quite the interesting start, we got basketball girls getting mummified which is very unfortunate because they’re the first extras in the show to get a face and name lol, first girl was cute too but she did wish it upon herself after all, but being left just barely alive can’t feel good, very gruesome stuff. And of course this is all the doing of Suicide-Master, which we knew already but Araragi and Gaen figured out from a cryptic message, they said DVS so many times I started to find the way they say V amusing lol. And it was solved by a new college friend of Araragi’s named Meniko, I really like her design and voice, she seems a bit nutty tho based on how she sounded as she deciphered that code lol, Araragi sure knows how to pick ‘em. And apparently, thanks to Higasa (who I remember appearing before, nice to see her again) and Kanbaru, there’s more to what’s going on with the girl’s basketball team, I was a bit surprised to hear how rough it was on the team at the start of the episode since Kanbaru never seemed plagued by it before so I’m definitely interested in what’s going on there, maybe all these girls willingly got the succ because it was seemingly better than playing basketball. Also, I liked Higasa’s hentai jokes there at the end, Araragi being censored got me lol. And the ED is still Undead but we got the next verse still and new Shinobu themed visuals, they look very nice, but speaking of Shinobu, where is she in the arc named after her lol, I’m sure we’ll see her eventually tho. |

| They were kidding when they said this could be considered as a sequel and even a prequel. Glad to see Koyomi and Kanbaru back. That code was quite intricate but of course Arararagi relies on someone else to solve when he probably could have done it himself. Nonetheless it is nice to see new characters introduced. On another note, I wonder where Hanekawa is right now. I know she didn't want to go college and she was searching for Oshino a while back but I think she already accomplished that. Hopefully we get to see her. Bit surprised Shinobu didn't jump out of Koyomi's shadow when Gaen started talking about Suicide-Master. Looking forward to their reunion. |
| Koyomi Araragi-Hentai is back! Now this season feels 100% complete! ^_^ The mystery that Araragi finds himself in is rather complex, but he and Izuko Gaen do get some good progress done. At this rate, Araragi encountering Deathtopia is a matter of when, not if. Hopefully this meeting will happen sooner rather than later. It was nice to see Kanbaru once again, where she was joined by her friend, Higasa. The two were fun to watch while talking to Araragi about the issue with their school's basketball club. Same goes for Araragi's friend at college, Meniko. She has a pretty cool design and her personality is chill at first, but the way she deciphered the code was impressive. All in all, this was a very good episode to start off this new arc. I do like the new changes done to the ED visuals with Araragi, Shinobu and Deathtopia while the song goes into its second verse. |

| It's so fucking peak. ARARAGI-HENTAI IS BACK, BABY! HUMAN x VAMPIRE x COLLEGE STUDENT / 3 = KOYOMI ARARAGI, AGE 19 = ME (PROTAGONIST) Protagonist that we have not seen in 8 episodes. On top of Araragi, we also got Gaen back. What in the Cipher Academy ass character, I already really like Meniko though, you know I popped for that head tilt. At first I thought "wow, the code was pretty simple, 67779 makes sense", then nope she went on and on. I think this whole situation is not that simple, would DVS really just suck up people like this? Though I can't really say I know DVS that well only from the 2 episodes we've seen her so far. Oh God, it's like we have 2 Kanbarus, peak. I definitely did not remember Higasa from Hanamonogatari, but it's cool she's getting more screentime. I love that Araragi still cleans Kanbaru's room lmao. Also what, there's already 5 missing and not 3? And it's also weird how it's all Naoetsu High Basketball Club members that are being targeted. My guess is that it all goes back to Kie Harimaze. For an arc called Shinobumonogatari, there was a severe lack of Shinobu this episode, though this is not first time this kind of thing happened where the focus of the arc did not appear at all in an episode. Those Shinobu eyecatches more than made up for it though! |

| Meniko seems to be a polar opposite of Hanekawa. Meniko knows what she doesn't know, while Hanekawa knows what she does know. It is also reflected by their designs. Meniko is short and petite, whole Hanekawa is tall and rather vulptorous. Meniko is sleepy and lethargic, while Hanekawa is lovely and energetic. Yet both of them wear glasses, because despite glaring differences, they still serve overall similar role. |

| The Goat is fucking back holy shit the way i started cheering when i saw him finally appear after all these years. Cool that we also get to see a bit about what he's doing now at Uni, dudes all grown up now. Seeing Araragi back already felt like the biggest hit of nostalgia, but seeing so many other old faces again in one episode was such a treat, Gaen, Kanbaru, Kagenui, heck even mentioning Kanbaru's mom, Tooe Gaen, felt like a trip down memory lane for the series. All in all the episode went really hard into the detective work and i digged it, although i got extremely lost when they went through the process of cracking the "B777Q" code and started going into language translations i still thought it was interesting and cool way to kick off an arc. Was also refreshing to see new faces in the cast for this season, hope they stick around, would be nice to see new characters with new arcs. It also hit me like a truck when the described rumours about Araragi were, "Delinquent student to graduate for Naoetsu High School, No Presence / No Friends, Failing every class besides math, slight refusal to attend school / Yet class vice-president" and how scarily accurate that description actually is and how i never thought about it like that. I also really underestimated the type of entrance Deathtopia was going to make in the story. I expected a dramatic reunion between her and Shinobu, but not to this degree of a borderline killing spree upon entering and attracting the big name specialists, honestly really curious now to see how the rest of the arc unfolds and what the ending will be like. Sadly as much as i expected maybe the possibility of a new ending theme or possibly an opening theme i'm wouldn't be surprised if they stick with this one for the majority of the remainder of the season, at least they changed the animation to match the new arc which i'm grateful about. Speaking of the animation, one interesting i thing i did find from it was the first couple seconds where it showed Araragi, what I'm guessing was Seishirou Shishirui's armour and a mysterious third figure all pushing one another around.
