Ha, that cat does have an attitude after all. The interactions between it and Saku were hilarious at home.

This episode covered more of Saku's lifestyle at home and seems pretty simple. She and Yukichi actually get along well, even sharing a drink together. Seeing a cat going to supermarket to do shopping almost seem surreal.

Yea this is the best Gohands show this season 😂 sorry sukimega but the dynamic between Saku and Yukichi is awesome.

Got some cool backstory about Yukichi and why he came to be the way he is, as well as some drunk saku antics. Can’t get over how cute she is. Just a really satisfying watch. It’s probably the most satisfying cute slice of life show since Senko san. All we need is a group of Yukichi’s cat friends lol

She so fine

GoHands is going two for two right now in terms of OP visuals, but the ending is actually fantastic. It features a fun and catchy track ngl. It's quite fitting to see Yoruichi dragging her calamitous owner home.

This owner is slowly realizing that cats don't grow to be six feet tall and function like humans. It's a pity that this poor creature had to evolve once it realized the extent of the commitment it made. Without the owner, both of them would probably be in dire straits, especially considering the owner even handles the shopping.

The shopping scene was hilarious, and the story of how the Chief met her cat was even more amusing. I'm still hopeful about a romantic relationship between them. The Aquarium plan feels like a quid pro quo: he witnessed an embarrassing side of her, and now he'll show her an embarrassing side of himself. They could make a fun couple.

this is the most relatable cat moment in the show so far. if you own a cat, you know this feeling.

Also love that the customers just assume that Yukichi is just a furry in a cat suit lmao. Probably would be most people's assumption.

But damn Yukichi is dexterous. How the hell did he sew an apron with his wittle cat paws? That's impressive.

The representation of the company sure was amusing. Working equals money to buy cat food lol. A solid motivation for Yukichi to make sure Saku is always ready for work. In three years Yukichi had grown from a kitten to a human sized cat. I don't think you'll find much cats that's are tall as him and can stand upright. Yukichi just shopping in the super so casually really was sureal. Still that was some high praise that Saku got from the chief. Kitten Yukichi socking Saku before apologizing to the chief made for one hell of a memory. Cute ending theme. Overall a pretty fun ep that featured some nice expansion for Yukichi and Saku that really showcased the kind of unique bond that exists between them.

It's strange to think how different the show could have turned out if Yukichi became an otaku cat 😂 but seeing him now, all I can say is "Women ☕️"

On an unrelated note. I noticed this type of eye a lot in anime. And have always wondered if it's something old school or fairly new? I only remember seeing it used for "food wars."" and noticed it in more and more shows. Can anyone confirm its origin?

The question I kept thinking about grocery shopping has been answered lol. The manager and the staff were really funny too hehe

Super-comfy, super-fun series, I want moooore!
(...and I want the ED to be released asap though it won't be out until 30. August)

Though if I think about that our girl is on a well-paved road toward alcoholism and without her black angel she would be living in a squalor... that makes the tone a bit darker.

I didn't think that Yukichi could talk, even though he can only talk to himself. That's nice because we can get his POV towards Saku. But at the end of the day cats are still cats, they will do anything to get their favorite canned food lol hahaha

This second episode is much more enjoyable than the first, hopefully it continues to be this fun until the end!

The pure white eyes with the thick black circles around them is a long-standing anime trope that I've seen in anime as far back as the 80s. It's used for a lot of different reasons, so giving a definition for it's meaning would be kinda hard. Hope that helps some.

This episode felt really short for some reason.

Yukichi does shopping as well as cleaning and cooking, huh? He's like a big, furry housewife.

On another note; I love Ishikawa Yui's cute voice, compared to her usually stoic voice (2B, Enterprise etc).

Yea, it's nice and relaxing alright.

On a completely different note: Does "company work life" in Japan really work like that? In anime, it always looks like 85 % of all the effort goes into administrative overhead, organising, presenting, talking with clients, having meetings, using fucking FAX machines, wasting tons of paper and time, like it was still, I don't know, the 80s or something. I mean, how do they ever get things done?

Let me introduce to you the company where I am working, where the ladies ( mostly assistants and secretaries) spend half their day chating in the corridor near the water dispenser a few meters away from the kitchen and the coffee machine.

The anime uses an "idealised" work place in the sense that it gives opportunity to show office work in a way that is well understood from anime and TV tropes even for those who have never worked in a place like that (even if some of those tropes are somewhat old school). Of course it is simplified but the writer of the story doesn't need to hold the viewer's hand and explain what is happening in the scene - because even a schoolboy would get it.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear with my question. It was more about, whether that really still was a thing in Japan. "That" meaning wasting tons of work and effort on ancillary tasks and sometimes on, weird as it sounds, being busy for the sake of just being busy.

The shorts between the segments are the best part. And the cat gags, of course.

Unfortunatly, today's episode got overshadowed by how annoying Saku is. Turns out Kobayashi without sarcasm and ADHD instead is not very enjoyable in what's supposed to be a relaxing Slice of Life. How is she even such a boozy loser if she's apperantly good at her job?

This series would've made a better impression and probably gotten a higher score if the anime started with this episode instead of the one last week. The previous episode was so jarring with its excessive angles and animation flexing.

They should really do their whining at manga forums.

Not the first 4 minutes depicting a cat perfectly :D. It's all about humans earning enough money to buy their cats food :D.

It really makes sense that people outside would think he is a man in a cat suit :).

Ha ha, I kind of like her chief :D.

This show is weird but I'm all in for it.

I saw Glass Reflection talked about it. He didn't like the show but not hate due to some of the camera movement and animation but good to see episode 2 not fucking do that. I do think we need to chill on the leg and random shots of people's butts when they are simply talking though. It's not even fanservice but just odd to switch the angle to something on the ground while it is looking up. Not a big complaint but I really love it. The cat is why you are here and the show is doing a good job of selling you the show. I hope people don't skip out on this one.
I haven't updated in years but now I have changed that. I'll be free soon.
