the animators are far more likely to get money that goes directly to the industry than money that goes threw a streaming service first, ESPECIALLY a western one as the money is going to go to westerners before whatever bit left goes to Japan

and you probably know this but streaming isn't protifable and the ONLY service that's actually "thriving" is Netflix

i don't control how shitty they run their business, but i can tell you me buying merch of the kind of series i want to see more of is more of a message than being some random ass viewer of an anime on CR... i've sent far more money to Japan than anyones CR sub could amount to

plus i mean, a ton of people can watch a series and it flops and vise versa... so giving Japan and not the west money is always gonna be the best method


oh and how can i forget CR and other western companies being caught altering subs, as well as butchering the translations of manga.... smh... fuck them

i'd rather just buy merch and manga of the types of series i care to see more of DIRECTLY FROM JAPAN and donate to something like the above instead of just being a random person on some 3rd party website hoping im doing something

its their own fault for not getting over outdated traditions... so what can you do? tourists are obviously gonna take advantage of it

CR is horrible and they disrespect their own employees, not to mention giving them money doesn't help people in Japan. idk about HDive, but like i said, with Mato Seihei being butchered, what the hell am i paying for? I obvously love Akogarete but thats just one show and not enough insentive

im preparing to visit japan for the 2nd time next week, so im not gonna be able to finish everything till im back, im probably not gonna watch anything while im there especially since im going with a friend this time

2nd season? I haven't heard of such a rumor yet. But, there are enough materials for sure. Since there isn't so much difference between the show and the source, reading the manga would be another option.
