| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- And we're back in the courtroom! Somehow, it felt like the show never left at all. Immediately, I got the feeling of Ace Attorney with a case taking place already from the episode. It did not take long for Ryuuichi to undertake the case and uses his knowledge to piece the clues together. His opponent in court looked like a fool lol. Nothing but truth~ |

| Suddenly getting hit, when he woke up, he got involved in a case where he doesn't understand. Police lady getting charged for killing his police boyfriend. Amnesia?! but his body remembers. It seems like that flashy guy who claims to see the killer is the one who hit him. And too talkative. He's a rounin. lol too obvious. He said having a glass but not having glass right now. He saw that glove as banana, and called her so he decided to set her as killer. The girl to the rescue. List of the lost cellphone... people who trick people w. money?! He finally remembers. So he hit him to get his own cellphone, the proof, back, but got the wrong one. I like the ED, but not OP that much. |

| There are some noticeable improvements I've noticed. Enjoyed this more than I expected too, but hopes aren't too high for this season. Let's see where this goes. |

| I like the pacing so far, it felt like it took only 5 minutes. Opening is okay for the first half, the second op might get even darker later. And apparently they are skipping Dahlia tutorial episode tbh it's okay for me. The show will get increasingly good after Recipe for Turnabout that's for sure. Godot ending when |

| I thought this was a really solid adaptation of 2-1. Also, because this season is 2-cour and covering only 1 game instead of 2 like the first season, there probably will be less pacing issues, which I hear the first season had. |
| I think turnabout memories its going to be before the fourth case because its important to the plot. It will be dumb if they just skip it. |

   So the art is a lot better than the hot garbage we got last time. It's still not to the quality of the game cutscenes and the character designs look slightly off from their source material, but at least from a technical standpoint it is okay. It's more likely than you'd think. Pacing and directing in general are also better than the first season. There were a couple of moments that lacked the proper dramatic effect, but still an improvement. Overall, it's still vaguely possible that they might not fuck up the best game in the main series? Like, this could potentially be a competent adaptation. |

| Nice way to start the second season, we had the objections, a turnabout, and Naruhodou never lost himself even if he did lose his memory for a while. A really good case to start, but I still hate to hear something, and read another, this sub with the localized names is an eyesore. |

| I'm torn. I am replaying the series (I sell plasma twice a week and I can play this with one hand) I'm close to the end of the second game and I haven't played this s3 since it's original release, so I've forgotten all but major plot points. Not sure if I want to watch this or not; but they cut out so much anyways (but I'll still know every single clue the second I see it though may take the fun out of waiting this long to replay) |

| I'm kind of disappointed with this first episode, because it was not the first case of the 3rd game, but the 2nd :( The first case was setting the stage for the entire plot and it's just sad that it was skipped and probably tucked away until a flashback appears. Boo! At least, there's Godot. As long as he is cool, I'm good with it <3 |

| Wait so the first episode of Trials and Tribulations was the first case they didn't do from Justice for All, even though JFA was season 2 of the first series they did? Technically Mia's case is the first one in T&T and THEN the Mask DeMasque case, and here I am STILL waiting to see if they'll ever animate the Damon Gant case from the first game which should have been the ending of the first half of the first series, not Manfred von Karma being the 'final boss' This is really all over the place, isn't it? |

| Obviously not the case we were expecting since this was looking to be the start of Trials and Tribulations. This was one of my least favorite ones, so I was fine with the first season skipping it. Regardless, this felt like it was handled better than practically all the cases for the first season. Hope that's a good sign for what's to come, but I won't get my hopes up. Based on the preview, looks like they'll be saving the 3-1 case for later since they're jumping right into the DeMasque one. On another note, the art is WAAAAAAAY better! |

| This episode really borrowed both the game's sound effects and screen shake. It's been a while since I saw the first season, but goodness. I really do feel like I'm just playing the game again, but at an expedited pace. |
