If an anime is good at what it aims to do, I'll probably enjoy it. I'm open to anything.

I began watching anime somewhere between 1996 and 1998. Things like Pokemon, Tenchi Muyo, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Rurouni Kenshin started me off. I stopped watching anime for a while so I could focus on life in general, but I started again around 2005/2006 with things like Naruto, One Piece, Haruhi Suzumiya, and Fullmetal Alchemist. After a while, I found Chrno Crusade and Shounen Jump, which helped me to start reading/watching a larger variety of stuff until I became the fan I am today.

I'm a sucker for slow-moving episodes, as well as the occasional mind-screw moments. I like dramatic slice-of-life shows the best. I also enjoy thoughtful shows that take a different or unique view on life or society. I normally dislike cheap drama and fan service shots that are out of place for the anime or are done distastefully. Leave a comment if you want any information on anything I've watched/read.
