| I'm starting to question if the "balancing" and the curse are the same thing, or two sides of the same coin. In Episode 12, "The True Nature of the Curse", Nanachi says that the curse can read ones consciousness. Our guide Hollow, Majikaji, said the balancing can see everyone's desires because it reads the signals of ones soul. I can't help but feel the curse has been tamed in this village by a sacrifice made by the three saints to provide a safe home for anyone's desires. We see that our past sage, Vuelo, is in a collar surrounded by the black balancing creature(s). Belaf and Wazukyan have lost their human bodies, perhaps in exchange for abilities or immortality. We also see Faputa outside the village, which to me, signals a deep rift being created within the group, especially since Vuelo was the one who was acting in a protective role to her. Could the curse be some form of equivalent exchange for the knowledge and resources in the abyss? I mean, if you kill and eat creatures down there, what balancing occurs to let you leave that ecosystem? Loss of ones own body? In the movie, Dawn of the Deep Soul, Prushka says, "They say the only senses the curse of the fifth layer can take away are those possessed by humans." Is this because it's reshaping their soul into one of the abyss (Deep Soul), or perhaps your paying with something you brought in from outside? Nanachi and Faputa's bodies are similar, and likely a similar desire to save and protect each other from the curse altered the flow of the curse, to create both. "The curse's flow can be changed by ones consciousness". Perhaps Reg's memories were the cost of traveling to the surface and he can regain them since he has returned to the Deep Ecosystem. Good Episode, hope it continues to be a great season. |

| I love the latest episode (best episode by far in my opinion) even with so many characters finally showing themselves. Faputa looks awesome I have to say. I don’t understand how Reg was previously given the same name before Riko named him. Did Lyza name him? |

Maaa san is no evil monster after all, but it still gets pretty excited about Menjaa's butt. | Nanachi was right about Reg being a dog. He let Faputa push him around so much. Im upset that they kept the toilet scene, in the first season the studio was really good at dodging all the pedo stuff. Also Mitty bring back is my least favorite part of the arc. Other than that, great episode |
