Hey dogmom! (It's hard to know how to shorten your profile name properly. Are you mom to cool dogs? Are you a mom to dogs who herself happens to be cool? Probably both? Questions abound.)

Thanks for the recommendations. March Comes in like a Lion has been on my list of "you know you probably should watch" list for years. (I think I watched the first episode and liked it, so I really have no excuse.) But I did get around to finally watching Yamada-kun based on your recommendation (and the fact it is listed as one of your all time favorites). To nobody's surprise, it was really good! Maybe my experience with romance anime is still lacking, but it was hard to for me to find obvious comparisons either: it is mostly from the female protagonists perspective, the MMO is an aspect but mostly ancillary, the male lead has an atypical personality, etc. It managed to feel very familiar and easy to access while also being quite unique and interesting. Great pick.

I had some recommendations, but looking through your list, I see that you watched most of them already. (And the ones I was thinking of suggesting had scores of 8 or higher, so in theory I might have been on the right track.) One that might have flown under your radar from the recent seasons was, "Too Many Losing Heroines". Not a romance anime per se, but I found it to be an excellent mixture of funny, touching, and overall, just kind of charming about the usual side characters from romantic comedies. (I mean, I would watch a series about Tsubaki after her rejection by Yamada-kun, but that is just me.) I would be curious to know your thoughts.

I really liked a lot of your posts; for example, the Sep 27, 2024, or Nov 8, 2024, were really cool. It's not Feliz Jueves, but the birthday posts from you were amazing :D

I thought about stopping the regular Feliz Jueveses because I have made most things I had in my mind, and I am slowly starting to run out of arts and ideas. But if it really made you happier and you would like to get them still, I can try my best.

Thanks, I am quite enjoying my free time now. I bought for my birthday the Elden Ring dlc, so I am plaing Elden Rign again.

In Czech we traditionally watch Pelíšky (Cosy Dens) - a Czech comedy about the years 1967 and 1968 when czechoslovakia was under comunist goverment, Mrazík (Frosty) - a Russian fairytale, and Tři oříšky pro popelku (Three nuts for Cinderella) - a Czech-German fairytale.


I hope your school interview will turn out well. Also I am sorry to hear that about your dog.

And yeah I agree that Haru probably doesn't like Makoto back, tbh I don't really see him liking anyone but I would like to see him end up with Makoto. I took a break from it after season 1 though so my opinion might change later on
