Natsume said in an interview that he didn't want to explain anything to the audience (hence why there are no inner monologues), so I think he has a pretty clear idea of how he wants everything to feel. I like it, it adds to the feeling of desorientation, lol I think it's a weak choice, personally. It's not disorienting, since you can get the hang of it very quickly. It's just annoying. It doesn't add to the atmosphere or mystery, since you know what they're supposed to be and they're not doing any "is this real or a dream?" stuff yet. It's just... awkward. |
| God was this a hella boring episode. Storytelling felt really messy for moments, Mizuho's character was a pain until she finally decided to stop playing the victim role and it seems Nagara can't raise his voice for shit. Imagine how much trouble could have been avoided if the guy only had a bit more presence. |

| It was just as confusing as the 1st episode but I'm really loving the abstractness and mysteriousness of this. Was the huge mansion already there in the island or did they make it with their powers? I didn't quite understand the flashback about their election and the thing about that teacher. How does Mizuho have the ring, is the teacher dead? So, Nozomi's power is called compass, that's interesting. She could be able get everyone back to the real world. I'm having trouble keeping up with their names. But I'm definitely gonna remember Rajdhani's name cuz it's Bengali and Indian word. It means capital in Bengali XD |
| Always nice to have an original anime that doesn't pander to the lowest common denominator. Interesting character driven show so far and the æsthetics are pretty cool too. It could still all come crashing down in a dreadful mess, but so far it's the best new show in an otherwise terrible season. |

| This is a rather interesting show. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm pleasantly surprised. It's nice when an synopsis pans out in a good way. I feel like I haven't "discovered" a good show in quite some time. I don't have a lot to say about this at the moment, other than Hoshi seems really, really shady. I sort of get the impression that people are either lying about not having powers, or else they simply haven't realized they have a power yet. So, I don't know what is up with Hoshi, but, if nothing else, I feel like the show wants us to be suspicious of him. In regards to the island, I sort of thought the flames were a result of theft. Since it showed the one girl stealing and then the makeup caught fire. I guess it sorta ended up being like that with the "needing to exchange goods" aspect. Either way, a lot of these kids seem real dumb. Especially when it was raining money, when there has been absolutely no use for such a thing up until this point. If the first two episodes are anything to go off of, this may just be a series of pissing contests up until they find a way to escape or they all die, whatever happens first. The blood has been pretty detailed so far, so I wouldn't put it past this show to get into some dark shit sooner or later. |

| Sonny Boy is the most captivating anime this season for me. The premise is interesting and the first 2 episodes are a great start, if it keeps getting better and better, this could be a classic. I'm curious about the super powers Nagara and Hoshi have... Does Nagara just find portals here and there or does he create portals? (Maybe he's the reason the school fell into a void.) Hoshi's could be manipulation maybe? He's such an enigma tbh. |

I don't actually remember what exactly his power is though. 4. It was her superpower. She created the money over the island, knowing that the others would pick it up and get burnt, presumably because she was angry that they were targeting her. |

| loving the visuals and direction! the shots of the island ravaged by the blue flame are so pretty. really digging the atmosphere that's presented. that said- I'm still confused on the whole "currency thing". items won't be burnt up if they are exchanged with another item, but they also won't burn up if they were a 'gift' (like what mizuho gave our MC at the end of the episode) or if someone else uses the item (like what some of these other comments are saying). this episode also adds more evidence to my theory that star eye kid is definitely something more supernatural. when we heard a deep, ominous voice for a split second before cutting to him definitely foreshadows to something. can't wait for the soundtrack to this show to be released as well. that ambient synth track that played near the end of the episode was so calming. |

| Hoshi is gaslighting embodied and while I know full well it's intentional it's excrutiating to watch him. In anime world the masses are often sheep. In reality they aren't, but it's seemingly easy to write pretend profound social commentary with sheep characters. |

| So the rule of this world is that if an item is taken without giving anything in return it will burn. Nozomi's got the ability pinpoint the direction in which their world is. Hoshi is getting shadier with every episode. Rajdhani's the real MVP he's figuring out the rule of each world. Also when he made that crypto currency app I realised that he fits the stereotype of the Indian tech guyXD |

| Good to know more about the system of the world and the few short flasback scenes made me dislike that Hoshi guy and the prez even more. Also nice so Nozomi's power is compass, proly something that'll allow em to go in the right direction. |

| Radjhani is a true mvp for ignoring the rumors and trying to find out the truth but also introducing a cryptovaluta lol. I felt bad for Mizuho with how infuriating the rest painted her as the villain like the glasses guy with his made up story loosely based on what Hayato witnessed and especially the scummy unfairly elected student council (I can't wait to see them getting karma). |

| Unpopular opinion here, but I feel like the animation is similar to a high budget hentai. I don't dislike it though, it feels kind of refreshing. I enjoyed the first two episodes and this one made me develop a small crush on Mizuho.. |

| you know it's a great show when it ends suddenly and you're like "where did the time go?" me, i'm easily distracted so something so enthralling like this is definitely the mark of a great anime. i hope it keeps up like this. also that nerd guy (indian maybe?) is my favorite so far. glad she got her kitty back. |

| The amount of people on here confusing shot cutting technique/editing with "animation style" makes my head spin xD It's funny how Mizuho is the one with a castle but of "lower class" than the student council president with fake votes (and Mizuho doesn't seem to abuse her power? she's just an otaku). Also I wonder if the Hibari-kun reference was only to tease Eguchi's work or there's something about Mizuho we don't know yet... |
