brilliant review on skip and loafer , I loved the mika redemption arc so much . seeing the comments about here go for hateful to almost roothing for her made me get an alomst proud dad feeling.
I don't even have a PS5 and not planning on getting one anytime soon. :) You don't sound like you're dictating, if anything, you're right. Although I do dwell on the past and wish I did a lot of things differently but at the end of the day the decisions are made and that's that. Also the past mistakes helped we grow one way or the other. I hope you have a great week too. :)
Sorry for the late reply. Angel's Egg is definitely one of a kind. You have EoE in you favs so it's kind of like that. By that I mean it's very out their and not a conventional way of story telling. On the surface it's a mess but when you really look at it from another perspective it can be something special. If it helps I actually watched the movie once was ready to give it a bad score and realized I didn't understand it and watched it again almost right away. Understood more of it but I decided to watch an analysis video on the movie anyway. So you are not alone in this regard. I know several people that did the same thing I did when it came ot Angel's Egg.
I've heard of Kotarou wa Hitorigurashi before mainly because the constant comparisons to the two shows you just mentioned. One day I'll watch it... when I'm finally in the mood to do so. Yeah I have an unhealthy amount of hours on each fromsoft game. Luckily my ps4 hours on those games will never be tracked because it's even worse. :D I hope these days continue on like this because I'm trying to cherish every moment I have with my friends and family. I just wish I did this years ago.
You're welcome, I'm glad the week has been great for you as well.
Haven't read the Usagi Drop manga in a long time but I am extemely saddend about how that's the route the creator decicded to go after the timeskip. Yumi Unita destroyed the manga.
Well I do play a fair amount video games, every Thursday my Dad and me go out for breakfast and then after that we either go home or do some errands and sometimes my sister would kidnap me and go to the mall and be there for a few hours. I've also been taking up drawing lately. So yeah, I've found new stuff that kills time.
Thank you so much. Fingers crossed for you as well and I hope you're doing well too. I'm glad you enjoyed Usagi Drop but if you're looking for more, then watch the specials but don't read the manga under any circumstances. You will regret it. And I'll definitely check out Shirobako and Odd Taxi out but the last time I said that was when I mentioned that I would watch five seasonal anime but didn't watch a single one. I'm sure I will find interesting things as the days pass by and I hope you had a good Sunday too.
Thank you so much. Even before I turned 21, everything slowly started geeting a bit better. Also I realized that I never responded to you pretty much last year. I will watch Odd Taxi at some point since I heard a lot of good things about it. I heard about Shirobako but I haven't watched it yet too but I heard it's chill to watch. The reason Usagi Drop is up there for me is becuase it's sweet and sad but not too melodramatic.
Thanks for the recommendations. Gankutsuou wasn't on my radar. Mononoke and Shinsekai Yori are on my radar. I just lack the motivation to watch these two (and a couple of others). Mononoke I tried to watch twice. And Shinsekai Yori once I tried to watch it but the video quality wasn't good, if I can find a site where it's in good quality and with spanish subtitles maybe I'll give it another try. This has happened to me before with Texhnolyze (the first 4 episodes are tortuous), Ergo Proxy and GITS SAC. Usually the 4th episode of an anime is the deciding point as to whether it's worth continuing to watch it or dropping it. The ones I mentioned I only watched the first episode, and that's why I don't mark them as dropped. I don't mark them as "on hold" either, I don't like to accumulate animes on that list.
This gonna turn into an endless cycle of refusal and self-deprecating, so I'll just say thanks for your kind words! I guess I'm the same as you on trying to 'make meaningful comments for myself.'
Sounds great! And oh, I don't listen to cantopop that much, it's just that a friend of mine sent me this particular song and I love how it sounds, so I feel like sharing it.
Yes, along with the psychological and seinen genres. As you can see, the ones I like the most are Kino no Tabi (2003), Mushishi, Serial Experiments Lain and Houseki no Kuni.
I'm finding it harder and harder to find anime in these genres, there are a few left (I have a small list). The last one I watched was GITS SAC. It has some interesting episodes. I still have to watch the second season, which I don't know when I'll watch it.
I'll make sure to check them out somewhere down the line!
My writing skill is yet to be called 'good' or eloquent, let alone profound, but thanks! It's nice to hear that. I'm still striving to improve my skills.
I just think that you view anime in a better light than me, whereas I always view the negative first and the positive later, and often miss what a show is trying to achieve, then boast about 'muh low mean score,' you're quite the opposite from what I saw. You elaborately describe what makes a show good for you without coming off as contrived, and you do so in carefully constructed sentences with much better vocab than me. If anything, your tag comments are more fitting to be called profound than mine. It's not often that I find people who put extra effort into their list by adding descriptions for shows they saw, so it's always nice to see one, especially from those who are more skilled than me. It's been a hobby of mine for quite a while and a way to improve my english (I'm not a native), so seeing your list somewhat motivates me to get better and reminded me that I'm just a pebble in this vast field. I'm still yet to check your negative scores though, so I still haven't seen how you construct criticism. I will do it when I have the time.
