| I haven't read the manga, so I wasn't sure what to expect here. I think the one word that sums this all up is charming. Visually, this was stunning. It felt as though I was watching a KyoAni movie. The lighting, depth of field, great camera shots; I'm very impressed. Not to mention the beautiful music. I hate the fact this is on Netflix though, and as someone who refuses to give Netflix money, I'm forced to find subs for it, which felt next to impossible. At least decent subs I mean. I had to settle for a shitty stream because I got sick of looking. I may just have to put this one on hold until subs are more readily available. Really liked what I saw though. |
| Holly shit, that's a lot of effort when it comes to animation and directing for a simple gag manga. It reminded me it was actually pretty good at start. Only the memory of it is buried under hundreds of dull chapters focusing on awful background characters. Shame it completely dumped serious parts later on. This anime might be actually pretty fun, since it will cover the part of the manga before it went downhill, just definitely not worth watching if it gets more seasons. |

| This exceeds my expectations. Got some 'A Silent Voice' vibes from it, wich is the best compliment I can give a show. It's hilarious and I even got teary at one point... Shit I can't believe how I almost skipped this due to airing difficulties on my site. The animation is Godlike with a captial G. How are people giving this 1/5's?! |

| Was it just me,or did any other fan of the manga think that they got it right in nearly every way? I nearly cried when the blackboard scene was through. I think the music throughout this is superbly fitting,and the animation is just so much better than I thought it would be.The way Komi's hair sways from side to side as she walks away from Tadano,the way her feet and legs move when she tries to run from him after he wakes up,the way Tadano moves when he shouts to her to get her to stop. Man,that was anime at its finest!! Can't wait to see all the other characters turn up,hoping so much to see Manbagi before this season ends!! |

Ngl, this is pretty entertaining. Komi is so cute. Tadano and Komi talking/writing to each other is cute as well. OPED are both good. Hoping that "Komi can communicate" with the help of her (future) friends. |
| The animation in this is really nice. I used to suffer from awful social anxiety so I'm a bit biased, but I liked the manga a fair bit already... I'm liking this adaptation a lot so far, it feels spot on to me. |

| The 1st ep was every bit as good as the first ep of Horimiya; having said that, I hope it keeps its' high standards, instead of falling into an uneven mess like Horimiya did. |

| Damn, that was so fucking good! Komi is hella cute <3. The chalkboard scene was so beautiful, I was smiling the whole time. I wasn't expecting the hiccups, it gave me a good laugh xD. And then everyone's overreaction to Komi was hilarious. Poor girl, she just wants to make friends. Fantastic first episode in every aspect. It's amazing how good it looks, quite surprised with OLM. |

| This anime is so beautifully animated and directed. The comic timing is also really good. Poor Komi San just wants to make friends and Tadano genuinely wants help her but would Komi and Tadano be successful in the midst of this insane class? |

| a PERFECT first episode for one of the most anticipated anime adaptations of the new generation. I don't honestly like the manga unlike what most think of it, but this adaptation deserves all the praise the manga is getting. Hope the quality won't drop after this extremely great premiere |

| I knew that I'm gonna enjoy this but it turned out to be way more better than I had expected. It was beautiful. I teared up when Komi-san started sharing her thoughts to Tadano by writing on the black board. How they went with the flow and started having a regular conversation through writing, that silence accompanying with those scribbling sounds of the chalk and the beautiful ost were just so touching. Komi-san wants to make 100 friends, she's so adorable. I was instantly reminded of Shiki from Edens Zero XD |

| Just watched the fansubs. Probably will keep watching it even if it lags behind. I doubt Netflix will put as much effort in it as NovaWorks did but we'll see. The visuals (and sound!) of this anime is through the roof. After watching tons of mediocre seasonal shows (at least visually uninteresting) this feels like a good fking meal after eating tons of junk. Good lord. I knew Komi would get an anime eventually but looks like the wait was actually worth it. Boy I do hope the source is actually deserving of such a high quality adaptation. |

| They're really making full use of the medium to amplify the cuteness that could't be portrayed simply on paper. I'm quite pleasantly surprised how much better than the manga this ended up being. With this budget I think I might end up just dropping the manga and wait for the entire thing to to be animated. |

| I don't read a lot of manga. I should read more and am trying to as time permits. And as luck would have it, Komi-san is my first time watching an anime where I've read the manga first. My impression of the first 7-10 minutes of episode 1 was that they got carried away with over-the-top eye-rolling visual gags, and I was getting seriously worried that they ruined it. But once it got to the part where Tadano and Komi were alone with the chalkboard, things got awesome, maybe even magical, and it pretty much held up through the next episode preview. I hope we get more of that in future episodes, and they don't get too carried away with the kind of stuff that didn't work for me in the first part of the episode. |

| Absolutely fantastic. I've heard about the manga before but I really liked this. The direction is fantastic, very compelling and engaging for a show of few words. The entire sequence with Komi, Tadano and the blackboard was great. I especially love how they animated the chalk powder falling on the floor coupled with Komi noises. Even though she really isn't, it makes the entire scene feel more melancholic like she's conversing for the first time in her life. Loving the overt text for sound effects too. Very entertaining presentation on the whole, kind of akin to Kaguya-sama albeit the styles are different. Really looking forward to more. |

| I loved it, it’s honestly as good as I expected. Same with Nagatoro from Spring season, went in knowing little about it and came out understanding the love for this series. It was a very nice first episode and for a good chunk they didn’t talk at all, but it made for a great moment, very well done. OP was very good as well, and the song used in the credits was nice. |

| It is time. After being trapped unnecessarily for years in the manga world, her time to set foot in the anime world is now, KOMI-SAN HAS ARRIVED!!! I can't hold myself dude, I had to pull off the dirty gun to finally watch this first episode, I just can't pass this historical moment. OLM, you did good this time around, and they really did. The artstyle and the animation is really great, as well as the pacing, direction, and the composition, they're pretty top-notch as well. But Komi-san, ahh and we thought you'll never set foot in the anime world, but that ends today. The problem is that when it comes to looks, she's the only character in this show that I have qualms with, everyone is alright. And to pick my favorite moment from this episode, it's got to be the blackboard conversation. There are times that you just had to shut up in order to appreciate a beautiful scene, and I really had to shut my mouth when Komi and Tadano were speaking with each other via blackboard, and how they set it up was actually fantastic. Almost cried to that moment, and it proved me that yes, even though it will all be fun and games, this series is beautiful and it is something to be seen, and I'm relieved that it finally got an anime that it deserves. |
