Hey dude - sorry I never replied! Haven't been really using MAL anymore or watching much anime in general these past couple years. I think the last one I watched was the movie Suzume or the last season of AoT. Have still been listening to anime OSTs and music though. It's honestly really dope that you're still going strong after all these years haha. I need to try to get back into the swing of it. Hope everything is still going well with you! For sure. I have a lot of fond memories of the original Cartoon Network Toonami growing up and the Adult Swim version through 2019, but I think things are finally picking up for Toonami again after a slow last few years.

While I can't comment on their personal lives since I don't know them personally, I can definitely attest to their talent as voice actors, their work is truly exceptional. Brina Palencia happens to be my personal favorite.

BTW, I noticed you have English voice actors in your favorites. Personally, I often rewatch some anime in English dub, and I don't think they are as bad as people make them out to be. People like JYB, Kari Wahlgren, Ian Sinclair, and Steven Blum are incredibly talented and are able to shine in their respective roles.

It really doesn't at all. Honestly, that show gave me the same feeling of Neon Genesis Evangelion... That sort of nostalgia and classic style that anime nowadays are really missing a lot.

By the way... Favorite character of Fooly Cooly? I'm torn between Naota and Haruko. Also, Ninamori is awesome.

No, I get the references, I don't like when shows use the reference as the central part of the joke. I still think it's a beautiful show and the reference jokes are fine, but I personally don't like when shows rely on them for the joke.

I for sure love the show, but I do have a problem with it... And that is the reliance on references for jokes. I dislike when the jokes are mainly just references to pop culture, so for me it's a big turn-off when it comes to that style of comedy. Everything else...the music, the voices, the art style, the animation, the characters, the designs, etc. are all perfect for me and I can see myself rewatching it in the future. A lot of it reminds me of NGE for some reason. They both have the same kind of... feel to it. I can tell the creators cared when they made these shows and I can feel the passion in it.

I actually just rewatched it for the first time since I was really young (I watched it back when it first aired on Toonami/Adult Swim) and I remembered why I loved it so much as a kid. The characters are great, the voice acting (Dub) is really good, the writing is perfect for the show it is, and I really love the character designs.
