| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Sport festival!! Chihaya is unexpectedly fast, and Karuta club is trying their best!! And Karuta club won!! lol~ they try to recruit new member by marathoning!! Taichi has planned for future activity, and getting a break up phone call from his girlfriend!! Chihaya suggesting for training when megane guy was thinking about the body not strong enough. The girl is not good enough in skill but thinks strategically. Taichi is going to far place (with expensive transportation fee) alone for more practice. lol~ Nikuman guy is there, too!! Taichi's enemy is fast, though. So both of them lost in A rank? Chihaya getting faster because of Queen, but the teacher doesn't want her to do so because speed is not only thing. It's time to think about the future, and Chihaya is confused about not use "speed". Megane guy analyzing to help out. The girl, too, helps her with with understanding the cards in different way (meaning of the poem), not just "speed". Chihaya studying seriously that made even the teacher who wants to tell her about hand in the future form stops. |

| I think Chihaya will eventually see all the cards as colours like the 'impassionate' card. This is what I've thought from the beginning when that card was first coloured. Oh Taichi, creating tension for the viewers again with that train scene. =P |

| I really don't get it... I know Chihaya will end up with Arata, since she always "Arata! Arata!" but Taichi! He always for her! Always support her! Aways help her! So I ask you... Why she have to end up with Arata! I love him too... Well... I prefer Chihaya, Arata and Taichi stay forever frends! But if she have to pick someone please... Pick Taichi! Oh... When I start watching this anime, I made promise to myself to not shipping anyone... but after all these Taichi/Chihaya moments! If they gonna make Arata/Chihaya, then bring him to this anime! |

| I don't know why, but there's something about Kana and Desktomu that I like... Good to see those two improving at Karuta. Also, Taichi reaction after being dumped was the best, ahaha |
| Oh, it was absolutely wonderful. I loved the part with Chihaya and Taichi in the skytrain, they're so cute together. It's also good that Taichi broke up with his girlfriend, but the way he did it was very odd. |

Taichi broke up with his girlfriend so now the battle for Chihaya starts I really hope Taichi makes it to A class i would really love to see a Arata vs Taichi match Chihaya also learn that in order to have a chance against the queen she need to learn more poems instead of just relaying on speed. |

| So many great moments for all the club members in this episode. Desktomu and Kana-chan are the quiet nerds in the back of the classroom who after high-school go on to start major software firms or write a best-selling novel. Desktomu has come a long way from his first appearance (was he really checking out Kana while she was practicing?). Taichi and Chihaya were such a win on the train--I thought for sure he was going to take her hand, but then "clap....swish....don't look at them....". And Nashida showed just how athletic you can still be even if you are a little (well, maybe a lot) chunky. |

| Well, I personally think that there isn't anything special going on between Chihaya and Arata. She is his friend, it is obvious that you will miss your friend when he is far away. I think that if Taichi would be the one living in different city, she would miss him and think about him in the same way she thinks about Arata. Yeah, sure, Arata was the one who taught her how to play karuta and she eventually got to love it, but Taichi did other meaningful things, like he is the one always supporting her. I think that currently she doesn't feel anything towards any of them or she just doesn't see it yet. Though I think she won't pick either Arata nor Taichi. |

| I love how Chihaya becomes completely oblivious to her surroundings when she's concentrating on something. A teacher comes into the library, talks to her, stops in mid-sentence, walks away, and she doesn't have a clue. |

| I know this show is about Karuta, but I can't help but care a lot more about the romantic aspect of it. Though ironically, I'm certain I wouldn't like the show if it was all about the romance. :/ Gah, poor Taichi! More importantly, though, it was great seeing all the members improving at karuta and Chihaya learning to look at karuta as more than a battle of speeds. I've never been big on poetry, but Kana certainly knows how to get people interested. Jacut said: Yup, felt the same way. It was really good.We barely see such dense episodes these days. It was so good it felt like it was longer than your average ep. |
| It's unfair that they use track-running to compete the clubs. I mean, of course the tracking club usually wins, they practice running the track and passing on the baton every day! |

| Haha the sport festival was so fun! To think that the karuta club won hahaha I didn't even know Taichi had a girlfriend... or I completely forgot about her... Well anyways his reaction afterwards was pretty fun to see ^^' and in the train I thought he would held her hand... that part was kinda hilarious ;p |
| Great episode. The race was fun. Taichi's breaking up with his girlfriend. LIKE A BOSS!! And damn, that train scene was almost. But anyway, I find myself laughing about it. XD I liked the fact that the two other members improved and also taught Chihaya her weakness. |

| Chihaya loves Karuta. She likes Taichi and Arata. There is no solidified pairing in the manga and there will not be by the end of the anime. Maybe by the end of the manga the author will have Chihaya end up with one of the two, but I doubt that. One of the reasons why this is a josei manga and not a shoujo despite having the main character in high school, is that the romance is not emphasized. When Chihaya thinks about Arata and how much she misses him, it is because of the high amount of respect she has for him and for the friendship that they shared as kids. Similarly when she was shocked about Taichi breaking up with his girlfriend she wasn't thinking about how she now had a chance. Now, whether or not further in the manga the romance will pick up has yet to be seen. It could or it could not. But that will be far beyond the anime's scope. |

Prostitutes cost money, they make a lot of money which is extorted from them, etc. It's symbolic, I think. |

| Finally!! Taichi is up for grabs this time. Now no one can stop TaichiXChihaya~ Well... except for Arata. But yesss that break-up is definitely a good sign. (*^_^*) Nikuman-kun was like, "Woah... He didn't even take a second to dump her!" And we all know why!~~ |
