I'm actually kind of liking this season. I also got a lot of Tenchi OVAs to keep up with. RIP to Yuko Mizutani by the way.
I intend on finishing it this year.
I remember re-watching Dot Hack Sign last May. Not just because 2021 anime sucked, but also because of me being very understanding of the storyline. Also because I've had fond memories of the IMOQ games.
Yeah! Bee Train anime each have a charm that you can't find in today's anime. They cared about quality while the current anime industry only cares about cashing in on the same product.
It's like the FPS or COD bandwagon all over again.
I've been re-watching Ghost in the Shell and now I'm at 2nd Gig. I felt like watching sci-fi action anime so that's why. Takes me back to the days when I watched anime on TV.
I was more excited to watch Second Gig on late night TV than Inuyasha one time. Two thumbs up for Yoko Kanno, that is, for doing cyberpunk music. Even Samurai Champloo and S-Cry-Ed got me hyped for late night TV than Inuyasha.
Too bad that today's anime don't have an overall talented cast or crew. Today's anime basically have too many second-rate actors, singers and music composers that no one has ever heard of.
It must be hard to find J-Pop acts comparable to Maaya Sakamoto, Megumi Hayashibara or Rie Tanaka these days.
By the way, I think that Rie Tanaka is the best Morrigan Aesland after Yayoi Fujimoto passed away. Would be great if the Darkstalkers franchise could go on. That's still up to Capcom though.
Sometimes I watch Cowboy Bebop in Japanese for the two ladies mentioned above.
Of course everyone knows Maaya Sakamoto for her roles in FF7 and other video games. Her Natsume voice was really cute by the way.
One of the reasons I love Gungrave games is because they remind me of Trigun. I like how Brandon Heat and his weaponized coffin were modeled after Nicholas D. Wolfwood. Of course, and the weapon he entrusted to Vash also.
Another thing that I hate about Sony is Aniplex. Instead of giving people Blu-ray anime at a fair and economical price, they rip people off. They ripped off customers during the VHS era too.
So yeah! streaming services and Aniplex are the reason why people prefer watching anime on AnimeKisa, 9anime or via torrents. 9anime was the site I used to watch Vision of Escaflowne and the awesome Arc The Lad last year. Can't wait to recommend those two free anime watching sites to my oldest Libra friend on DeviantArt.
By the way, I look forward to more news about Gungrave GORE. I love the first two games of the franchise. I was thirteen years old when I saw the first Gungrave in the gaming aisle of Sears. Overdose was the epitome of underrated and I didn't get to play it till early adulthood.
Oh yeah! I completed ZOE HD and I loved blasting bad guys in Mars with my mech. That train chase mission was intense and so was this all-out war in said planet. ZOE 1 and 2 are definitely my all-time favorite sci-fi action games besides Breakdown. Can't wait to play Fight For Cybertron next.
89 hours? That close to the time that took me to complete Wild Arms: Alter Code f. Too bad my PS2 doesn't read half the games that I love anymore. Of course, because Sony is a cheap tech corporation.
I also care less about the broken Crunchyroll replacing Funimation and I prefer watching anime on AnimeKisa which has 80s anime. Sony doesn't even care about anime at all.
I also had the most delicious beef, potato, squash and corn soup ever.
Other than that, I still can't wait for future Macross movies to come to theaters. Even though all the theaters are very far away from my house. Wish I could have watched the CG Lupin movie.
And I guess I forgot to ask this even though it was the impetus - what are your thoughts on Mawaru Penguindrum nearly 11 years later? I was thinking it was a bit over ambitious near the end, but the ending itself was very cathartic and satisfying to me. Very solid overall.
