The TV series is actually way better. Dagashi-ya and Ren-chon's relationship is unbelievably cute.

fun movie. Ren-chon making plenty of drawings, and snorkeling. Did not see dolphins, but the manta ray and the glowing algae during the night made up for the lack of dolphins. Poor Hika-nee was plagued with ear problems and had to throw up during the snorkeling. xD

that girl is good at badminton. I guess a casual player cannot beat a real player.

Koma-chan getting stuck in the mangroves. :p

sad, but they must go home. Looking forward to when they visit okinawa again.

Another cute, sweet and heartwarming adventure from Non non biyori. You just gotta love this show. Even in animation, they successfully portrayed how beautiful Okinawa is.. Anyway, I have only one complaint, it's the fact that it wasn't longer. Other than that nothing more. It was sweet what they did for the daughter of the Innkeeper. The stars in the night sky was just mesmerizing, even the sea, that scene was one of the best.

I loved this movie. Easily 9/10 for me because of enjoyment.

Great movie, can't get enough of Ren-chon and the crew. Always brings a smile to my face seeing their calm and relaxing lives and makes myself a bit more calm and relaxing as well. Looking forward to season 3 now.

Eh.. Poor Hikage.. First getting bullied by anime with losing her face in front of Renge.. Then losing her hearing, which sucks a lot as well to her experience on this vacation, you know..
Just why people like making beach moments so much.. I find it quite boring, and sun to be tiring, to be honest.. Don't like swimming as well.. Oh well..
Their evening gathering with food looks like much more enjoyable time to me personally.. ;p More relaxing..
Well.. It seems that being Hikage is suffering.. It sucks..
Diving and seeing rays must be nice time.. As well as kanoe and waterfall.. And lighthouse.. Yeah, some pretty sights..
Corals too.. And just their staying place feels pretty at some places as well.. As well as island..
Who plays badminton like this anyway, lol.. ;p Well, never saw anyone playing it in a competitive way, if there would be no net for that..
Pretty night sky and water..
Yeah, I'm glad that Natsumi and Aoi exchanged contacts.. That's what they needed to do, and they did that.. ;p
Quite a nice vacation it was, wasn't it?.. ;P

you can tell they kinda try put some emphasis/focus on the short relationship between Natsumi and Aoi (inn girl) by the end, and i don't think it necessarily delivers as much in that regard.

we just don't really get much reason to like aoi as a character really much, i mean ok she's passionate at badminton, what else? i guess she introduces the cast to some pretty badass places, but that's more love for the setting and not much for aoi herself, which i guess we're supposed to care more about, with the crying, ren's cute picture and everything

Yeah I agree with you.
Though I can sympathize with Natsumi, after all Aoi is her first "real" friend of her age who shares her personality. Komari is family and her character almost opposite, Natsumi doesn't have that much interaction with Hotaru, while Renge is just too young.

Even though he's completely silent so much that's become a running gag within the show now, she actually seems the closest to her older brother the way she refers to their shared activities in the past and off-screen together. And the fact that she's the tomboyish one.

Instead of having real summer vacations, i'm watching this during summer xD
And the best thing with this movie is that it felt so much realistic and accurate to my summer vacations when I was about their age, and again like the main series it has great visuals and a lot of cute moments.

My first 5 out of 5 vote so far. I love this show. That's not wrong choice to watch Non Non biyori series. Heartwarming, funny, friendship, scenery and Okinawa (I thought will meet Haruna and Kanade from Harukana Receive)

Natsumi crying before leave Okinawa I feel it so much. I did remember when going vacation meet someone that I like but we have no phone at that time rip.

Big match of badminton against Okinawa kid, Nattsun can do nothing. How powerful she is.

Drawing of Ren-chon was pretty chill since I'm collective with scenery picture. Looking at the sky is heartwarming and Ren-chon was feeling about it. Even she's a loli, her character is so mature.

Still have a lot of funny moment when there is no conversation but looking each other I feel a stand up comedy arise. LOL I can't believe this.

Overall 9/10 great show worth to rewatch.

Why do I feel I already watched this movie?
Is this the same story with Okinawa e Ikukoto ni Natta?
Oh nvm, it's a direct continuation

Hikanee.. still the same as always :P

Ramen at night is a taboo thing, but it's why it's good xD

Such a nice movie, JC staff as always have done really good job with this movie
It's kinda lacking the usual comedy though

Off to season 3?
I need another Aria and Non Non Biyori :(

Good lord, this series really knows how to heal someone. And this movie in particular might've just topped it for me. I'm so glad that there's a Season 3 coming now because I'll always be down for more of it, lol.

Natt-chan has probably been my favourite character after Dagashi-ya so getting a lot more focus on her character is just priceless.

Ren-chon, having gone through the experience back in S1, urging Natt-chan to not part ways in a muddy form was fantastic! I could see it coming obviously but it was still on point.

Nee-chan's "After" and "Before" & Hika-nee's antics. 10/10 xD. Lots of great moments for the other characters too. All in all, a summer vacation to remember for a long time really.

By the way, we got to see Hotaru's father this time around but what about Ren-chon's parents and Natsumi & Komari's father? Season 3, please.

Pleasing ED song to finish off with. Can't give anything lower than a 9/10 for this, as such.

this movie's fuckin beautiful man

no drama no bs no action no overly convoluted plot, just the characters we've come to love having some fun. Heck not once was I expecting to cry a little inside from this, and even laughing at the same time... wtf is this feel-good anime and why haven't I watched it until now??!!!

Big fan of non non biyori, watched the first 2 seasons and ovas and stuff, and started watching the currently airing season 3, so I decided to finally watch this movie which I haven't even had in mind to watch, besides just wanting to watch everything non non biyori before nonstop airs. And dang do I need to emphasize that anyone who even mildly enjoyed non non biyori needs to watch this. It's freaking beautiful, the starry night galaxy algae scene, but even more so the brief friendship that forms between natsumi (best character!!) and new aoi!

There's no plot other than they're on vacation, but the focal point if one were to choose one would definitely would be the short but sweet friendship between natsumi and aoi. Even when aoi shows that she's just acting polite because that's how she was trained, she doesn't turn out to be some bad character, but is actually really sweet. Just pointing that out because it's ALWAYS the case when an anime character puts up a nice facade it turns out they're actually a jerk. So this was a SUPER NICE breath of fresh air. But what can I say, this is non non biyori, where negativity is just about non-existent and I love it. It also has immaculate timing, knowing when to put in a joke (which are not blatantly obvious, and instead more subtle style which I think is more effective), and when to take it slow; particularly when natsumi is just standing there, not wanting to leave.

This was JUST shy of me giving it my next 10/10, currently which I have only given to Promare which got my adrenaline rushing. But this was a damn good feel good anime that was chill, relaxing, and even, bittersweet. Only downside was that natsumi couldn't give aoi a good game LOL 9.5/10. Made me even more hype for the next episode of non non biyori nonstop.

This should've been your standard NNB 9/10 greatness, but...

The scene near the end of the movie, after they return and get off the bus, Koma-chan asks if they want to hang out tomorrow, Hotaru agrees but Konomi wants to chill at home. Either way, they all go back to their own homes for the evening.

So why is Hotaru walking with the Koshigaya's? She lives closer to Renge (as they often meet up first, then see Komari and Natsuki along the way to the bus-stop going to school).

And why is Konomi walking with the Miyauchi's? Okay fine, Hotaru has to get something or drop off something at Koma-chan's place, I can stretch my imagination for that. But Konomi is the one who says she just wants to go home, relax and unwind. BUT SHE LIVES RIGHT NEXT TO KOMA-CHAN. WHY ARE YOU GOING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION WITH RENGE!??!?! I'm almost positive Hotaru and Konomi's positions should be reversed.

I don't know why that one scene bothered me so much, but it did, and that's why...

I'm dumbfounded by that wall in the middle of nowhere that serves no purpose, which the mother of Aoi for some reason wants unscathed. I thought it was part of the holiday inn, but it's some stand alone wall with a roof on it? Is that a Japanese thing? Seems like really absurd architecture.

Wow I didn't expect this to be this good. It makes you FEEL like You are on the vacation too. The part where Nattsun didn't wanna leave was Very relatable and made me feel nostalgic. It Just hit me, right in the Kokoro ;_;

The Animation is just beautiful with stunning scenery through out. The sound design is one of the things that many people may not notice but its what always made Non Non Biyori feel so Comfy. You can literally hear the sound of the ocean tides in the distance. Not to mention the great soundtracks that go with it.

The characters are lovable and Renge-chon is kawaii as always. Also who can ever forget the Best Onii-chan in town. He's so cool, he doesn't need any words.

All in all it Deserves a 10/10.

I finally got around to the Non Non Biyori Vacation movie, and wow that was amazing, and like usual with SoL movies they usually feel like a really long episode, and this did but it also went by really fast, it was so good lol. It’s like Natsumi said near the end “why does time have to fly so fast.” And it definitely brought the nostalgic feeling of family vacations, this took me back to those for sure.

I really enjoyed the change in scenery, the main setting is already beautiful but now we get to see the beauty of Okinawa as well, portrayed in Non Non Biyori style. It was really fun watching the girls enjoy the sights and activities, really liked the snorkeling and kayaking bits, as well as the lighthouse part with the illegal hermit crab lol. And of course the highlight that is Natsumi and Aoi, I knew from the beginning their parting would he sad, and it really was, but I loved their relationship, it was definitely nice to see Natsumi hanging with someone her age too, giving how small her school is, everything about them I loved, I kinda hope in Nonstop they’re pen pals or something lol. Also Hikage getting the bad end of the stick for most of the movie was hilarious lol.

And of course I loved the final moments when they returned home, really nice way to end it. Some things to note, the first 13 minutes or so were partly from Season 1’s OVA, which I’m glad we got some of and I’m also glad we didn’t see the whole OVA in the movie, it makes the OVA more worth to watch and briefly showing it here was a good recap. Also the brother just kinda disappeared for a stretch of this movie lol, maybe he was in the backgrounds and I didn’t notice him and if so that’s hilarious, but it’s something to point out. But yeah, I super loved this movie, definitely another perfect entry to Non Non Biyori, very excited to watch Nonstop soon, and then I’ll be sad because there’s no more Non Non Biyori lol, but for now it’s not the end. Also I really liked the OP and ED for the movie, held the same vibes an OP or ED from the main series did, very nice songs too, and the ost was nice too, I always appreciate the Sunny Road theme being used as well as the new stuff for Okinawa.
