The similarities are endless - A girl comes (from seemingly nothingness) into the life of our protagonist as his wife, they learn to live together as a couple, and discover their feelings for each other (especially in Taishou Otome Otogibanashi).

To start off, both Fly Me to the Moon and Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie are very similar because they feature two main characters who are already dating and in love with each other. You get to see their everyday couple comedic life and awkward yet adorable moments and interactions. Shikimori, the main character of Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie, is very similar to the main character, Tsukasa, of Fly Me to The Moon, because they both have a protective nature and a cool "aurora" to them that comes out sometimes in certain situations. Most romances are written by liars and sadists. They know we only want one thing: to see two lovers who are perfect for each other to confess and enter a relationship. Every week, they dangle this promise in front of us, and we keep coming back. Will he say "I like you"? Will she say "Go out with me"? And before long, it's Season 3, and zero progress has been made. If you love romance shows but hate waiting for the main two to get together, Tsuki ga Kirei and ToniKawa are shows for you. Kick back and enjoy some down-to-earth relationship life, uncensored handholding and  read more

Each anime is a romantic comedy dealing with a more committed relationship between adults. They've got a bit of supernatural spice, but the majority of the setting is realistic. If you love romance focused on the relationship itself instead of on the will they/won't they part of romance, these are for you! Be aware that Tonikaku is much more comedic, while Otonari focuses more on the romance.

Both are romcoms which revolve around life of a married couple

Both anime revolve around an innocent and cute couple

Because they are both wholesome, light-hearted, romantic comedies with similar premise and mood. If you know of rom-coms, you then know of the general formula. A (sometimes unlikely) couple usually get together by the end, after a bunch of hijinks, while also overcoming melodrama and finally confessing. These two shows, however, put their own interesting twist in the rom-com tradition, in that the main couple actually get into a relationship very early on. 'My Love Story!' and 'Tonikaku Kawaii' are just that; anime about the lives of a dating/married couple, with a relaxing and comedic tone. Very little drama present in these shows and in  read more

Slow paced, very cute and adorable boy meets girl romance stories. Both feature the main characters becoming closer and falling in love quite early also them living together/spending a lot of time together every day. Lots of SoL and Iyashikei elements as well.

Comedy and romance! Somewhat similar stories and vibes about a boy who was coincidentally saved by a girl. This is where their romantic and fun journey begins.

Both shows have a very very similar art style and have a pretty cutesy outlook to them. While Tonikaku Kawaii revolves around just one couple, Tsurezure children bounces around. The vibe is the same though, and we get a lot of cute moments that makes u smile.

Strong female lead character

The stories are different but yet these 2 focuses on having girlfriends/wife, and both revolve around romantic comedy between the couples. In tonikaku kawaii, the couples are real but in kanojo okarishimasu the couples are fake.

Similarities: Both animes have a good plot Shy characters with great personalities
report Recommended by Yuukinaa
Both of these shows happen after what's usually the end of a romance anime: the two main characters finally deciding to go out. After story is a season 2 though, whereas Tonikawa just starts with the main characters in a relationship.

The daily life of a married couple with so much cuteness, and a hell lot of Sake to end a day.
report Recommended by MouradSME
Both share similarities with the premise of a romance, yet the content leans more to comedy. Both are pretty light hearted with little drama. The romantic couple is set from the beginning, but progresses very slowly, since the shows are heavy with the comedy parts. Another similarity is from the cast, both are dominated by female characters.

both fmc are likeable and are extremely cute. also, prepare alot of insulin if you are starting watch both of the series. so if you want to watch an anime that has a fell-good and likable rom-com that can easily give you diabetes, this is for you.

In both a girl and a guy start living together where romance develops. In both the girl starts living with the guy. Both shows depict their lives. In Rec, their lives become intertwined with a job aswell.

In both of these animes the male protagonist has his life flipped upside down by a mysterious female co-protagonist.

They both are just cute. No plot goes anywhere, but both have cutre characters meant for eye candy. Tonikaku surrounds a guy and a girl trying to live life, whereas K ON is based off of school girls playing in a band.

Nothing much , just both are really wholesome , both the male main characters are nerds while the female ones are really cute. The other characters are written pretty well in both the animes as well but tonikawa doesn't have much drama but more mystery and all .

A feel good, romance anime that makes you smile during each and every episode. The premise is not the same but I have a thing for intelligent main characters... Both are fantastic

4th wall breaker romance stories where a lot of references to other shows are given.

Both are comfy SoL rom-com featuring a male MC who has been overworked. After the appearance of the female MC. Their life change for the better. The female MC helps the male MC in their daily house chores, cooking delicious meals and giving the male MC the love and warmth that they lack. If you want a rom-com with little drama and that allows you to sit back and relax. These are the 2 anime I can recommend.

Both are great and funny romance anime, where 2 people stay in focus and spend a lot of time together.

These shows both have some of the most enjoyable moments I've seen thus far in anime. I often find myself smiling at just how wholesome some scenes are. If you like the SoL elements of Yuru Camp or Tonikawa then you'll love the other.

both series follow 2 people who due to some circumstances get married and get to know each other after. in tonikaku kawaii there are two people of almost equal age but in Onegai ☆ Teacher there is a student who marries his alien teacher to keep her secret.

Both are romance anime Both are FRIGGIN CUTE Differences: 1. Tonikaku Kawaii's MC is less dense and really likes the female lead. 2. Tonikaku Kawaii is about a married couple. 3. Tonikaku Kawaii takes place is normal japan (not some fantasy world).

Good plot. not a harem whilst being a romance and has a deep meaning where the main characters love each other through hardships. That's what makes these 3 alike and the only romance anime I really enjoyed.

Like 'Sukitte Ii na yo.', 'Tonikaku Kawaii' is a cute slice-of-life series about teenagers meeting in a violent fashion, falling in love, starting their relationship and growing as a couple. In both series, the couples begin dating early on, unlike most romance titles, and their romance develops as the protagonists open up and get to know one another, in spite of numerous attempts to break up or otherwise interfere in their relationship. Here are the most significant differences: 1) TK is a romantic comedy that is heavy on the comedy; Sukitte is a melodramatic romance. 2) Sukitte largely revolves around a high school setting, while the MCs in  read more

'Asageo to Kase-San' and 'Tonikaku Kawaii' are super cute slice-of-life tales about an unconventional-yet-precious romance between two intelligent teenagers. Unlike most anime romances, which end as soon as the dating begins, these two focus on the development of the protagonists' relationship, and just how adorable they are together. Both are fluffy & feel-good love stories that are lighter on melodrama and will have you feeling warm & fuzzy in no time. The biggest difference between the two is that AK follows a lesbian couple, while the lovers in TK are heterosexual. Aside from that, a few things set them apart from one another: 1) AK takes  read more

Both anime are about couple of lovers. In 12-sai there are two couples, in Tonikawa - one couple. These animes show walking, dating and communication of lovers, and also their problems.

Same author with a similar sense of humor. Tonikawa leans more into wholesome humor while Hayate is more action based. They're also hinted at being set in the same universe.

A simple love story without an overcomplicated plot and unecessary drama. Just a Story between 2 people falling in love. ps: It's Wholesome AF

Both mc's are living in the same space, like a normal married couple. The only difference is, that in Tonikaku Kawaii they're married, very much in love, while in Hige wo Soru they aren't really together.

- Both have a similar artstyle - Funny references for other animes - The couple is formed at the first episode - The main character is intelligent

Both have the lead female being innocent. Whereas TK has her getting married to the male MC, here we have an arranged marriage. I feel that during these two seasons we'll see how these two MCs grow together, just like in TK.

Diabetic romance animes with lot of cute scenes
report Recommended by Karokek7
Both are saccharine romance shows with a humorous instinct that is squarely in the late 90s of anime and manga. Both feature incredibly wholesome and cute romantic relationships, male protagonists that are all-around good people, and female protagonists who have an otherworldly charm. Both are worth watching, but could easily put off people who don't like cheesy romance shows.
