Both shows have similar comedy and cute romance moments of the main couple. Coincidentally, both of the male MCs have purple hair, and the female MCs have pink hair. Both are very fun to watch if you love wholesome, slice-of-life romcom.

The portrayal of how relationships aren't supposed to function, let alone the fact that there isn't any basis for them to be formed in the first place, but that is the whole point of both series, right?
I presume the comedy and romance direction would share similar traits. And hey, both MC received their share of tough luck to get the waifu, and I call it 'hardship'.

Both have some sort of relationship, either wife or girlfriend.
Male mcs trying to impress ffemale mcs.
Both main characters coincidentally have the same hair color, and is pretty wholesome overall. Me personally i see tonikaku as shikimori after marriage.
MC looks pretty similiar, Nasa is a bit more confident than Izumi, like if you hate Izumi and wish he'd be more funny and confident bro Nasa is literally that.
The FMC for both is literally the same, like they're both cool and cute like SAME PINK HAIR AND ALL THAT
