When I watched the first episode of Oresuki, I had the feeling it was like Oreshura. The girls have lots of similarities to each other. There is a boy MC who's dream is to have a love story. The art style is also very similar and in a more "cute" way.

Each is a comedy featuring deconstructions of the classical love triangle involving deception, subterfuge, and complicated motives.

Both "My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU" and "ORESUKI Are you the only one who loves me?" do a wonderful job in subverting the romantic comedy tropes that we typically see in anime. There's only so many times the same old story can be told and manga writers themselves are starting to become aware of this. The self-aware commentary told by the main characters of both shows, Hachiman and Joro, is quite refreshing to see. While "ORESUKI" takes a more light-hearted comedic tone, "SNAFU" often takes a more serious route when analyzing relationships. That's not to say "ORESUKI" completely waves off the emotions of its characters  read more

"Kawaikereba Hentai" and "Ore wo Suki Nano" are both rom coms based on light novels with similar humor. The main chars are both your average anime protagonist, but in kawaikereba all the girls are weirdos while in Ore wo Suki most girls (except the main love interest) are normies who just like the cool guy. This leads to many misunderstandings and inner monologues in the protagonist's head.

- Smart but easy to overlook guy who is surrounded by cute and alluring females with different personalities. - Protagonists are kind and good friends who tries to help his friends with their strugles. - Both series has wise female characters who challenges, but also helps protagonist to overcome problems.

Both have that ordinary everyday MC who finds him/herself being surround by their harem that seem to prove to be obnoxious.

Both series are full of comedic misunderstandings and manipulation. The gags and comedic timing of the characters interactions have a similar levels of fun. So, if you like OreSuki than you should 100% watch Gamers. The only difference between the two series is that Gamers has more of an Otaku feel to it.

Both these anime are romcom and harem

Character dynamics and interactions are very alike. Both have characters that hide their "real" self from others in order to fulfill something. The cast has similar character archetypes and all in all it just feels familiar. Something that I also really liked is the fact that both series make meta jokes about the series themselves, mocking their characters, narration; making references to other series a lot, etc.

These are both anti-harem series that are self-aware and bring a fresh, semi-satirical approach to the genre.

Both features MCs often faking a person to keep the status quo within the popular clique. Both features female leads who often notices the MCs' true intentions and helps the with it. The animes deal with themes of school hierarchy and the concept of social construct.

Surprised nobody has recommended Noucome! Noucome is absolutely hilarious! I find Oresuki very funny because of the way the MC thinks and talks, and Noucome’s MC will make you laugh just like that. There’s a ton of funny girls who like the MC as well

OreSuki is another RomCom anime with highschool characters that actively plot and scheme their way through romance. I watched it and while the tone was a bit different and less wholesome, the vibe was similar.

Both are harem comedy, they fails in the comedy, using repeated jokes, the premise are good it looks cool but in the execution it's a total failure, the anime becomes what it criticized.

If you’ve heard about this anime you’ll know most people stopped watching after 10 minutes cos it was basic af. But if they’d waited like 7 minutes more they would’ve been laughing their heads off. Ore wo suki is a one of a kind “harem” anime. If you were lured into watching Masamune kun’s revenge cos of it’s unique plot trust me you won’t be disappointed in watching this. If I had to say ore suki is probably better cos the MC is more relatable and the female characters are more likeable and developed (in only 12 episodes ikr!) But they’re both one of kind “harem” anime  read more

Both shows offer have a great comedically driven take on the classic high school romance setting.

A parody of romcom harem anime as a whole. Hilarious mc, good story and satisfying ending... oh an the main villain of the series is a park bench

both shows talks about an MC who meets another MC that looks boring but actually intresting

Oresuki has a lot of intrigue and it turns the Harem genre on it's head by making all the characters trying to destroy one another's reputations to try and be who they want to be with. It does have some annoying fan service and a swimsuit episode but I enjoyed it because the characters all felt real with good and bad traits for all of them. If anything at least finish episodes 1-3 for the huge plot twists that blew me away...

Both have characters who are not honest with themselves, but still try to give their best.

Both are similar in some ways. The heroines gradually become part of the protagonist's harem, and both also break the fourth wall.

Both Main girl and main boy characters have similar interactions in the both animes, and gives a bitter sweet feeling that i really like. If you find this anime good then you might find this other one good either.

The main factor for the recommendation itself is made upon the similarities of the protagonist personalities. Both MC seems to be selfish and eccentric. Despite Oresuki be focus into the school environment and a "try hard" deconstruction of love comedy, Kyuukyoku does have the setting plot focus on an virtual/real world the reactions of the characters seems really made up from the same perceptions. Nonetheless, bother are comedies fundamentally and, somehow, both try to break, at their own pace, the concepts about their "unique" genres. In short, if you're looking for comedy deconstruction animes, boths seems good picks.

Both are harems written with an almost spiteful idea towards the concept, which makes for some real solid fun. Both mains subvert the trope of 'good guy normie' by being absolute jackasses, while girls (and boys in Ranma's case) just as manipulative fawn over them for the most insignificant of reasons, and as such their harems grow to a comical degree. The Baseball Game and Bench-kun churn out freaks at a pace even exceeding the Drowned Springs in Ranma. You could even compare the duality of Joro to Ranma's, though they take on a different form.

Both protagonists do not have a "profile" as a romcom protagonist. They also have an inferiority complex in relation to the other characters in the cast.
report Recommended by GuiSaika14
Oresuki e Sakurasou shows protagonists reluctant to maintain their relationships with the other characters, especially for a girl who deep down is special to both.
report Recommended by GuiSaika14
Similar anti-hero protagonists who lives pretty much entirely revolve around losing their virginity. Another group cast of girls with varied personalities who fall into the life of the protagonist some way or another. Similar comedic tone with lots of jokes made at the expense of the protagonist and characters playing around with the feelings of others.
report Recommended by bloodyboyblue
The characters are charismatic and very human. Both works deal with friendship and love as the main theme.
report Recommended by GuiSaika14
The first episode of Oresuki has some similarities to School Rumble: -Ensemble high-school cast. -Main character has two sides to him, a nice guy and a bad boy. -Main character likes a girl, who likes another boy. -Another girl is interested in the main character.
report Recommended by Jagged_85
Both shows fall into the subgenre of meta-romcoms that use a layer of meta-irony to get you in the door with a whacky concept, and slowly peel back the layers to reveal a more standard romcom at its core. I would say Romantic Killer is more creative in its animation and directing, but both do a good job at treating situations and circumstances as building blocks that are obvious to both the MC and the audience.
