Both features MCs often faking a person to keep the status quo within the popular clique.
Both features female leads who often notices the MCs' true intentions and helps the with it.
The animes deal with themes of school hierarchy and the concept of social construct.
It is hard to point out exact similarities between both Bottom-Tier and OreSuki, though create multiple relationships with many different girls and that whole spin on life for that one dude no one really cares about until the main girl shows up.
If nothing else, both do seem to know how to poke fun at the generic "cool kids" culture and anime tropes that keep spawning with no end.
