Character dynamics and interactions are very alike. Both have characters that hide their "real" self from others in order to fulfill something. The cast has similar character archetypes and all in all it just feels familiar. Something that I also really liked is the fact that both series make meta jokes about the series themselves, mocking their characters, narration; making references to other series a lot, etc.
Both Saekano and Oresuki are romantic comedy harem anime with MC not confident enough to embrace the feeling of being loved by someone.. the thing is Oresuki shows you the lack of harem world in a realistic way and gives some plot twist that makes it more surprising to watch. and Saekano gives us the twist to accept the heroine who always be there for you.
