With life or death at stake, it's easy to say that both series revolves around a survival game concept. The main characters gets themselves involved in deadly turn of events with life threatening consequences. However, it's shown that both series' main protagonist has a strong dedication to survive and his will has influence on others. Throughout both series, the games gets more complex in nature involving its rules and turns. There's also a mystery-like vibe in regards to the origins of both series. Recommended for fans of survival game and horror fiction.

They are both about people being forced into a death game. The both pretty much start off the same way, although the characters are different.

Both series feature the protagonists teaming up to play games with significant consequences, often involving mastery, creative reinterpretation, and/or exploitation of simple rules. However, while Imawa no Kuni no Alice often showcases the cooperation between people with different skillsets to triumph in games that they couldn't win alone, Tomodachi Game mostly just serves to demonstrate one mastermind's relentless one-upsmanship of every foe and opposing strategy.

Alice in Borderland and Liar Game's similarty is that the people who joined said games are forced to join their psychological and mind breaking game...

Suddenly finding himself participating in series of death games, the protagonist has to strategize both on his own and together with other people to survive.

In both series, the main protagonist is faced with a life and death situation when their life changes forever as they are transported to an isolated place/space. There is much mystery throughout the series as to their purpose of being sent there but as the story progresses, the truth is uncovered. Both series features some graphic content to highlight the horror of the survival horror genre. In addition, there is an adequate amount of mechanics that we learn from the world they become apart of. Recommended for fans of survival horror.

The stage set for both series involves twisted games where its contestants' lives are at stake. The main male protagonist from both series has a similar personality and devotion to make it out alive. There is a colorful cast of characters from both series with various backgrounds and personalities. As for the games themselves, there are various rules that can be used strategically to secure victories. There is also plot twists as well as thrilling moments that any survivor horror fan may be interested in.

Both are my absolute favourite manga's. They both revolve around a survival game and have a psychological side to it. Life Is Money acts more towards psychology while I feel that Imawa no Kuni no Alice is more towards philosophy. Both are outstanding manga's that I highly recommend reading.

Both are life or death related game, giving quite the thrills when reading it.

Survival horror is a prime idea for Battle Royale and Imawa no Kuni no Alice. The main characters get themselves involved in a state of fear with conflicts that involves their very lives. There are objectives and rivalries that also build up between characters in both series. And most importantly, we see who lives and who perishes. Despite the overwhelming circumstances, the main male protagonists from both series has a strong spirit to fight and survive.

Each of them reminded me of the other, because in each series there are challenges/games that people have to take part in/can take part in. In Dead tube, there is a reward with money if you win and a huge punishment if you lose. In Imawa no Kuni no Alice, people have to take part in games to survive, and you have a chance of dying in games. Some games are easier that others.

Thrown in a situation where their lives are at stake, both Darwin's Game and Kmawa no Kuni no Alice makes a strong premise for survival horror. The main male protagonists has a strong dedication to survive alongside some others. And throughout both series, they make allies and enemies. Puzzles are also part of both series' plot element as the main characters works to solve mysteries. There also exists violence to portray the deadly consequences of the game should one not follow the rules. Recommended for fans who are interested in fictional horror and survival horror with game gimmicks.

Mind games that decide the life or death between characters! If that’s what you’re looking for, I think these are the series for you. The feeling both gave were pretty similar. Specifically, the adrenaline of not being able to predict what would come next and the exaltation or figuring out the ending is why I would put both series on the same stage. Although I would also say that Usogui had a rough start, the pay off was 100% worth it as the level of intrigue became similar (or even better) in later arcs.

Both Psyren and Imawa no Kuni Alice have the theme of survival in another world, while Psyren focuses on action and Imawa no Kuni Alice focuses on psychological battles and puzzle solving.

Both have a overarching mystery and thrilling elements with many twists & explorations of humanity. Both rely on misguiding the readers perception and introduce each works genre to fresher ideas; being a psychological/murder mystery and death game it feels constantly unexpected despite following cliches. Only differing in setting and supporting characters.

Really well done cast of characters, whether they're primary or secondary, 'heroes' or 'villains'. Each arc presents something new and different in the form of 'games', but the games get increasingly more complex and dangerous and require really well-done strategies that (99% of the time) are well thought out, logical and ingenious. It's a thrill just to see how the characters will tackle the next 'game'. The worldbuilding is very well done, and the story is able to maintain a good balance on both hype/tension while exploring various themes about human life and relationships.

Kakegurui and alice in borderland has so much in common, kakegurui and alice in borderland has unique games and rules for it. While kakegurui's games are about gambling and has a lot of cheating, alice in borderland has a lot of games about strength, brain, mental, and teamwork that will decide if you die or live longer.

Forced to participate in a deadly game, both series adapts survival horror where the main characters' lives at stake. Taking on the risks of each challenging, both series shows the reality and consequences of losing the game. There is an issue of trust in both series as the story goes on as well as startling revelations are revealed. Alliances are formed, strategies are formulated, and mind twists are played are all part of these games. Recommended for fans of survival game fiction.

In both series the main character gets transported to different world and play games expect that in Alice in Borderland they play to survive and generally have a darker theme than Mondaiji-tachi.

Both manga are intense psychological horror and contain a lot of killing that have to do with psychic abilities and the battle between a group.

"Excuse me, would you kindly help me?" What an unnatural phrase. And you won't hear it in these works, because when somebody needs help during a round of guess-or-be-maimed, chances are they won't really have the time to say it. That, or their behavior has already adapted to the unforgiving circumstances! While the players may prepare for a longer stay to play killer games that appeal to both brain and brawn in the world of Imawa no Kuni no Alice, Torikago no Tsugai will provide its participants with the finest logic riddles of death. Of course, in either world, -somebody- is behind these...

Action survival manga where people find themselves in an unknown manga. Imawa no Kuni no Alice just has to do with games where they kill themselves to survive while Jisatsutou depicts how they adapt to life on this remote island and the different issues that come up.

Would you like to stay in a murderous world with games made to break you? If not, you are welcome to leave, but that will either kill you or everyone who is dear to you. Well, that wouldn't matter after you die, would it? In Imawa no Kuni no Alice and Online: The Comic, the players of a murderous game are forced to play against other players, or to participate in an MMORPG respectively. The thing is, however, they don't have to play 24/7! That means there is a world to explore and a regular, or quite irregular, life to live! How thoughtful of the creators!
