Both from the same author, both short mangas. Deep and meta, both include twists.

Highly recommend reading Chainsaw Man. Fujimoto is an absolutely amazing mangaka and his stories are so hilarious and captivating to read.

Tales of characters with terminal illness as their lives are near the closing.

both deal with trying to understand and cope with regret in their own way and have a slight supernatural conjecture which makes you kinda question reality

Two weird / lowkey immortal girls and their movie binging sessions

Both manga are about film-making as an art form and discuss creativity and artistic vision. Both are about characters who are passionate about films and encounter someone else who reignites their passion after the death of a loved one. Umiko and Yuuta must both work on their creative vision and create the pieces that they need to and want to make.

Both MCs try to cope with regret and trauma through fiction Both works have the appearance of a girl who would later change their whole perspectives on the world and how they should live their lives

Cinematic storyboards, simple but attractive graphics of characters, raised themes of irreversible illness and memory of a person - there are many similarities between them, but, of course, it is difficult to compare with Tatsuki Fujimoto's storytelling.

Both are oneshot, They have one thing in common plot twist. By the end of these pages you don't really know what to feel just mixed emotion!

Filmmaking-based manga. Decent take on the basics of filmmaking but of course, this is more on indie filmmaking instead on the big, glamorous world of Hollywood. Sayonara Eri is more of a starting out filmmaker's story.

Manga exploring layers of metafiction and the art of creating and living through stories

Sayonara Eri adds "touches of fantasy" to the real; sometimes making it hard to draw the line between the two. If you enjoyed that aspect, Ichikawa Haruko's oneshot collections could interest you too.

Same type of story about a boy finding meaning in their life while being supported by a quirky girl. Same ending as well.
