This season finale is kinda goofy...in the way that it felt meh. I suppose after all the the drama and fighting, they wanted to send this season off on a more peaceful note. Jahad also got her moment with Viole. Wangnan Ja is also back on his feet as the arc concludes. Felt like the past few episodes just didn't really do enough to make me care much about the cast at all. This season has just been really bizarre and all over the place if you ask me. |

Everyone makes it out alive, but with the FUG Rankers out in force, only to retreat because of one of the Ten Families' heads of Po Biang Gustang preceding the Workshop Battle for fairness sanctions. That said, Wangnan has healed completely, and this is where some will split their ways for move on to their different paths, like the Hell Train. And towards Karaka, the warning from Ha Jinsung about targeting Viole, sure took its toll for the wrongful of actions. Viole and Endorsi's date being tailed by Rak, Yihwa and Prince, while Khun reconvenes with Novick and Ran to find Rachel and her teammates to break them as revenge for harming his close friend, that's for sure. And though the bet was done, Bam still thinks that he is not strong enough to face challenges in his life, that Endorsi just rebuts and checks up on him finding Rachel, though he's not quite the person to know anything about romance, even when given a kiss on the cheek from her. Horyang not awakening due to Cassano taking his other wing, and this news is honestly quite devastating. To think that he's even stronger than both Bam and Beta they can only consult Hwaryun on this, and she redirects them to take the Hell Train on the 35th Floor of the Tower to find him, and ultimately, Rachel too, with Bam's long hair cut for the new journey. At long last, Season 2 of the Webtoon with both the Return of the King and Workshop Battle arcs have come to a close, but not without the many flaws that clearly plague the entire season overall. |

Hard to rate tbh. I hope we get a 3rd season with the first animation studio or even better. 5/10, because it looks worse than some anime from 2000. |

I think Tower of God is the first webtoon to have two seasons of anime, but sadly it looks like the record will stop here. Solo Leveling will join the record next week and is possibly aim to go beyond that. Oh yes, A Returner's Magic too, but one year has passed and still no release date for its sequel yet. |

They end it with "see you later" so there's a hope for a 3rd season and I'll be patiently waiting for it! As a fan, I'll always be bias but anyone can see this 2nd season overall is not great at all. HOWEVER, it is also not a whole disappointment. There are still quite plenty that I found enjoyable to watch Glad they toned it down for the last episode, considering all the fights and scattered pacing. The plot seems everywhere at the beginning but they actually only start to make sense at a later part. Just like Wangnan's... Looks like him being able to stay alive even after his heart got pierced and recovered in just one day isn't just because of a plot hole or terrible storytelling! From the very beginning of the season, him holding that Zahad ring has always been suspicious (to us). Only now he started to seem suspicious by others, starting from Rika (fire girl). I'm not sure if he's really immortal but there's definitely a secret behind him. But it's gonna be a long long long way before we can find out who or what exactly is he (I still don't know even now since I'm not updated with the manhwa) Endorssi finally got her date! Her cluelessness of why she's been dying for this just proves she's actually denying her feelings for Bam. She might still not realise but deep down she already knows what her feeling is. But welp can't blame her since her family bans that sorta thing. WE GOT TO SEE THE TRIO SLEEPING TOGETHER SCENE!!! Another one of my favourite scene!!! XD I'm gonna be so mad if they don't show that π€ Nothing makes me happier than seeing the trio with Khun and Rak bickering again x) It's gonna be a while before I can adjust to Bam having short hair again even though that is his original hair length. Overall this season 6.8-7.0/10. MAL honestly need to correct the MC though. Bam, Wangnan, and KHUN! Khun might not be the MC in first cour but this Workshop arc is a separate entry and everyone can see Khun is totally one of the MCs!! How should I suggest this to MAL? :/ All and all, I'm looking forward to season 3!!! (\^O^/) I waited 4 years for this season. Doesn't matter if it's a disappointment. I'd have no problem waiting another 4 years (but please don't) |

I literally forgot about Rachel until someone mentioned her. Man I was enjoying the episode until her name popped up. Really curious about Wangnan's background, kinda hoping he has some kind of ability. The finale was quite satisfying imo, a happy ending to the season. 8/10 |

Overall, it wasn't too disappointing, but I still didn't like how the anime turned out. At least Endorsi got her date with Baam, even though he knows absolutely nothing about romance and had no idea what a date was. Still, it was a sweet moment. There are so many unanswered questions that I'm excited to see answered: Wangnan and Karaka's ring, Cassano's plan and how it connects to that wretched Rachel, the relationship between some of the big family leaders and Jahad, and the upcoming trials to climb the tower. I'm not sure if there will be another season, especially after the drops in quality this one had, but I still hope they continue the story. |

Viole cut his hair and become a normal MC-kun! I think the series is ok, it is sad. Because as you watch you can see there are a lot of interesting world building, but the pace is all over the place and you always feel you are missing something. 6/10 I still would watch a season 3, if it happens. |

After all the hype this arc got I really came in expecting something special and other than a few episodes it never delivered.. I mean there was some interesting lore and teases for future plot developments, but it had like two episodes of solid action and the rest was a yapfest/slideshow. Shame how far ToG has fell from that 2020 amazing production. Credit where it’s due though, we got an Endorsi date in this finale so it was solid lmao π Endorsi FC we WON. Her date with Bam was so cute, love her outfit as well! but no way bro forgot it was meant to be a date. He’s such an airhead EXCEPT when it comes to simping for Rachel Speaking of which, thank GOD Khun ain’t letting shit go and is determined to pack her ugly ass up. Hopefully he gets to her before Bam’s simp ass does. Next up, hell train arc. I’ll hate watch to see Rachel killed hopefully but I have low expectations. Also wanna see what’s become of Cassano now that he has both devils. AND WE END WITH SHORT HAIR BAM BACK. Fairs, blast 8 minutes were definitely the best part of the episode and maybe even of the whole year other than that Anak vs Khun brother fight . |

Overall pretty ok. As a fan, not really up to standards, I felt the pacing and writing could have been a lot better. Some of the games were barely explained, and everything seemed all over the place. If there is a season 3, I hope a better studio takes on the project, The Hell Train Arc, consists of many sub-arcs which are among some of the best Arcs in the series. It would be shame if it got the same treatment as this season. |

So the final episode was basically just setup for the next arc besides the beginning of the episode when the gang escaped, makes sense but it kinda hurts because I’m not sure if we’ll get a Season 3, and if we do it might be another 4 years lol. Best part of the episode by far was Endorsi’s long awaited date, it was basically a pseudo date because Bam forgot it even was one until the end, but it was still really sweet, Endorsi was looking beautiful in that fit and smooched our boy on the cheek, never wash that cheek brother. Also Yuri Jahad mentioned! I really wish she could have been relevant this season, because as much as I love Endorsi, I never quite got over Yuri in Season 1 lol, nice to see her again at least. And lastly Bam chopped his hair back to how it used to look before taking off for the Hell Train, nostalgic look and fitting after all that happened to him as Viole, and it looks like whatever is happening with Cassano is gonna involve Rachel too, she kinda dipped for this cour but she showed her devious mug again at the end, I can at least say she’s cute despite the evil lol. And that was the end of the Workshop Battle half of Season 2, and the season as a whole, I think this half was better than the first but not by much really, the main thing that made it better was the original characters from Season 1 returning, yeah they did pick it up on the production during some battles which I appreciated, but it didn’t save the entire season. And really I don’t think the Workshop Battle arc’s story was much better either, I did really like the whole reuniting with Bam thing but the Workshop Battle itself wasn’t all that interesting, kinda unfortunate because it was promising but sadly it wasn’t as good as the hype made it seem imo. But all that being said, I did still enjoy this half of the season and Season 2 as a whole, it was nice to finally see more of Tower of God’s story in anime form, something I’ve been waiting for since Season 1 ended in 2020, yeah The Answer Studio wasn’t quite up to the task but I’m thankful it was continued, now I just hope if they ever make a 3rd season they can learn and improve if there’s no studio change. And as one final note, Stray Kids may not have magically made the season good but their songs were absolutely fire, so damn good, both them and NiziU did an amazing job on the OPs and EDs. |

Welp, finally the season and the Workshop Battle arc is over. The last two episodes were surprisingly enjoyable for me, and the animation definitely hit its peak in the previous episode. I think it was the first time I ever felt tense while watching ToG S2. I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of Endorsi, but I still found Bam and Endorsi's little date and moments pretty cute in this episode. Seeing Bam smiling happily again and fully reunited with his friends was nice. I'm really gonna miss his ponytail. T-T But oh my god, what did they do to my GOAT Gustang? They totally butchered his character design. Anyways, overall it was an okay but still disappointing season. The animation improved somewhat from the previous cour, although it's still mediocre compared to other anime. But one of the biggest failures of this season was the storyboard writing. Even as a Webtoon reader, I could not fully comprehend what the hell was going on during the middle parts of the season. Too many things were going on at once, especially with all the FUG politics going on behind the scenes, and similarly to The Trustworthy Room test arc in the previous arc, the game rules were terribly explained. Also, because of the failure of S1 and the previous cour for properly building up its characters and the lore, I couldn't find myself caring much about what was going on. The Ran and Anaak battle was animated somewhat decently, but otherwise there wasn't really anything else I could say that was memorable about this season. If the producers plan on giving more funding for future ToG seasons, I pray that they will give the Hell Train arc to a more competent studio...not getting my hopes up though. |

I don't want this one ending bro, this show has lots of flaws, LOTS of flaws, but fuck it, it's so fun to watch, I absolutely love it. Seeing Endorsi finally have her date with Bam was nice, even if it was awkward, if Bam doesn't end with her I will be really mad lol And I wasn't expecting him to cut his hair at the end. Okay. Endorsi got her long-awaited date and they actually showed part of it. Finale is saved! Even if said date didn't really count as one and was with the most plain and boring dude you can find in anime form. Underwhelming season overall. It wasn't nearly as atrocious as S2 Part 1 but also gotta say it wasn't that salvageable either. Aside from a very few decently animated sequences scattered throughout the season, production values remained as mediocre as in the previous cour and though the story of this arc seemed a bit more captivating, the way how it was approached was so poorly handled it ended up ruining any potential attachment I could feel for these characters and their struggles. Added to that, games of the Workshop Battle were barely explained, the way how some events were intertwined with others was confusing and the overall narrative of most of the episodes felt messy as well as all over the place. 4/10 - Score could have been lower if not for S1's main cast returning, OST being awesome as usual (Beta's final boss theme omfg) and some very few scenes where the execution was decent enough. |

Like a lot of others, I felt a bit let down by Season 2. Especially Cour. 1 where they threw a ton of new characters at me & bum rushed the plot. Well, it did get better during Cour 2 but I still like Season 1 more. Finale was great.. Until I saw Rachel again. Please can we kill this viper, please?! |

There's lots of things to complain about, but I want to focus on one. What was the deal with the Emily subplot? Okay, living ignition weapons and melting down ties in with the other plots, but how did that get us the Emily app? How does it allow her to send messages or process many users at once or have the knowledge to get any reputation of accuracy? None of those have anything to do with anything we know about ignition weapons. Is this supposed to make any sense? |

In my opinion, this episode was unnecessary. After the good taste of the previous one, with open endings and full of emotion and action, this one smells like the next one, and is full of explanations and memories, more like a first episode of a new season, selling smoke. kekeke |

@Bio To be entirely honest, Emily plotline (and much of the plotlines from the Workshop Arc) kind of get lost in a plot powercreep eventually, so even the manhwa\webtoon readers don't know what was that all about. Though Rachel still wields Emily well into the late chapters so the author has supposedly not forgotten about it. The main idea with the ignition weapons is that they are, well, made of people, or at least their souls or essence. Soul manipulation and their transfer into other vessels will get somewhat important in later arcs. The Emily is a more unconventional "weapon", or a tool. If the classic ignition weapon was mostly a "mass"-produced vessel that allowed one person to use shinsu powers\aspects of some unfortunate enslaved\melted test subject, then Emily is one of few special kinds, in this case made to function like an AI-powered lighthouse. Its more of a cheat and not an artificial being as such, as the engineers that made Emily lack the skill, but the high masters of the Workshop and other powerful beings did produce artificial homunculi from shinsu in the past. So the Emily basically works like a semi-autonomous Lighthouse, connected to the web and sending\receiving messages like a chatbot app. The author was inspired by some old chatbot he encountered in the early 2010s, well before the current LLM-AI era. In terms of what's the use of it, it has some. First of all, it gathers information (basically if you use it, all your data is harvested by whoever owns it, in this case Rachel). It can also allow you to manipulate others by injecting your data into the queries (bait & switch). It can also somehow predict things it doesn't necessarily know, albeit not with 100% accuracy - like location of certain things. In this way it functions like a mechanical Guide. And finally it clouds the visions of the Guides, something similar to Dune Tarot in the Dune series. If the Guide wants to predict something, but there are people messing through Emily in the vicinity, then the Guide's vision become inaccurate or unclear. It is going to be a big wrench into Hwa Ryun's rhythm in the next arc. Other than that, we don't know if it has any special importance for plot or if its going to be totally lost in the powercreep. |
